I eat lots of fruit and vegetables that require no label as well as meat….Trivia and sugar substitutes are not harmful but I limit them to my tea and a few sprinkles on a celery, apple and orange salad I make every day. I immediately started to lose weight, though I wasn’t over weight. I drink a low sugar protein drink with a chocolate flavor. There is a sugar free chocolate pudding I make also. My blood numbers are back to normal which makes my endocrinologist happy with my progress. I say all this to explain why these recipes are waaaayyy to carbo heavy for me to eat. Dried fruit is filled with sugar.
You can add the 50% less sugar added cranberries and you can use MTC oil and you can roast you all your nuts prior to using them to give a richer flavor. The only other thing I do is I add coconut flour a quarter cup and then I add roasted coconut chips, I also use a little bit of Stevia powder and mix that in and you can add that even to the peanut butter mix that you’ve made and Costco now has a alternative peanut butter nut mix. That’s wonderful and I think I’m gonna try it in this recipe.

There a lot of sugar free sugars out there now - not the same as sugar but people do like and use them, just have to find the one that you like best.

2 1/2 Tablespoons of maple syrup is a pretty small amount for a cookie recipe.

Maple syrup doesn't affect the glycemic index in the same way as sugar does.
