In india we call this "tikki". Any savoury item, shaped as a medallion, shallow or deep fried, is referred to as a Tikki. We also season the dry mixture with a host of mixed spices. Alternatively, stuff the medallions with seasoned and cooked peas cuz, currently its fresh green Pea season in India.

I modified the recipe instead boiling tue sweet potatoes, I steam them in the rice cooker; I add one egg, used coconut and tapioca flour; and used coconut oil in a nonstick nontoxic frying pan and covered with the lid; it turned out crispy and delicious!
Sweet potatoes all nutrients gone in water, should steam or whole (full) cook in water, then making, rice powder putting then crispy becoming, thank u looking very nice.

These did not take 7 minutes to boil for me, maybe I used the wrong kind of sweet potato I don't know. Mine also looked bigger. I only bought two but oh my goodness I made so much batter, I'm sure I didn't put enough sugar and the consistency is all wrong. It kept sticking to my hands no matter how much flour I kept adding. I'm leaving it in the fridge overnight, hopefully I can fix it tomorrow.

How much coconut and tapioca flour did you use?
The original recipe is 2.46 oz or 70 g flour; I used about 1.23 oz of coconut flour and 1.23 oz of tapioca flour!
Is non-stick.. non-toxic???

Insted of sugar u can add jaggery 2 spoon,ghee 1 spoon,then it will turns more delicious
