Finally got it up and running. The only delays we had was because we realized we needed some extra parts (I’ll list that below) ruclips.net/user/postUgkxihMYiJNXcHdbH-7ihymsLz61l7jVyb5O . So we have a loft where our current hvac just couldn’t seem to keep cool during the summer. We have been using a window unit since we bought this house over 6 years ago (all the houses in this neighborhood were built in the 80’s and majority of the houses built like ours use a window unit). I hate window units because they are just so noisy and the one we had really only cools one side of the loft. I had contemplated upgrading our current HVAC, but with all the rising prices these days, it would take years before saving up enough to do that. With the advice of my father-in-law (used to run an HVAC business), he recommended we get an inverter instead. We thought we bought everything we needed, but there were just a few other parts we didn’t anticipate needing (which is what caused most of our delay). My friend and father-in-law did all the work to get it installed and running and now we have nice cool air circulating nicely throughout the entire loft. It is very quiet and even the outside unit is much quieter than our main HVAC unit. Saved ourselves thousands getting this.

After cleaning and washing. I turned on the ac, but it is now making sounds and it isnt cooling. Is it becuase it is wet?
Your outdoor still running??
I rerinse the unit with more water, and blow dry the parts. Now it is cooling and stronger. Not sure about the outdoor part

Hi there, what about the ionizer situated near the bottom? Should I cover it too?
Forgot to mention that all 5 of my ac is Panasonic and the ionizer is situated near the bottom right. Looking forward to DIY this as it will save me quite a bit of money
I don't get it, why don't take off the whole aircon cover.. Remove the blower and wash it, take out the drain pan and clear all the "jelly"

Hi, there are quite a number of different designs in the market. You can google to find out more; not necessary getting exactly the same as long as they serve the same purpose.
sorry but never use this foamy spray as it accumulate the dirt's later after 2 months there will be big block like mucous or gel which formed due to reaction of the chemical with the dust and you have to open the inner air condition to remove it from the drainage - little bit harder than u think. outdoor ok indoor no

You need to take the cover off to clean it properly, and just using water, no foam is just as efficient

Why the aircon is not even dirty ???
Because we clean quite regularly. Say the aircon manufacturer suggests user to clean the air filter about once a week if I am not wrong; I think you can find this statement if you refer to your aircon user manual.
