I fly approx 100+ a year for an airline. the Airfly Pro is awesome!
Thanks for your review.
Can someone else on the plane pair to my airfly pro without me knowing??
I understand that two people traveling together can pair to the device.
What about a stranger??
No, it's a secured bluetooth connection. AirFly Pro and your headphones both have to be in a pairing mode which you should do at home, not on the plane. If you do two people, its 2 max and you have to pair them individually. You can control bluetooth connection in your iPhone or Android settings like any other bluetooth connection.
Any bluetooth connection, both devices have to be in pairing mode. Hope this helps.
Agree- just bought it and works like a charm! 🎉
Enjoy
will it work for both bose QC Ultra and Airpod Pro at same time if I want to watch a movie with my partner.\?
Will Airfly Pro work (paired with Bose earbuds) with those tour company transmitters that they use while orienting travelers to different sites during a tour? Also, how long will the device needs to be charged?
Anything with a headphone jack, this will work for. I just did an updated video on all of this
ruclips.net/video/8zFYeAu6zfc/видео.html
Battery last a long time. Up to 25 hours. Hope this helps
@Zachus - Thanks for the info but I have a rather unusual situation. I still use an iPod Classic (6th gen, which has no Bluetooth ability) which used to work in my Mazda MX-5 via USB connection.
Suddenly, it stopped working though neither the iPod or my car has been updated or changed. It sounds like AirFly Pro will work to transmit FROM my iPod Classic TO my car via Bluetooth BUT with my iPod so old, the battery needs to be constantly plugged in. If I connect my iPod to my car (USB), will this override the Bluetooth capability? I don't think it will but I thought I'd ask anyway. This may be more a car question than an AirFly Pro question.
Thanks for the informative review.
Iam only interested in inear buds when traveling but pixel buds pro only have 7 hours of ANC so this device still would not be as good as Bose QC 20 when traveling across the pond
This device is not headphones. It allows you to listen to the plane audio wirelessly to any Bluetooth headphones.
I have an old Bose Wave radio with 2 input ports. When I plug in the AirFly Pro in RX to the white input port, there is a red and white port, it doesn't work. What am I doing wrong?
If there are two ports, you might need an adapter, look up something like "Headphone jack to two prong adapter"
If they make ability to pair two AirFlies together to make point to point Bluetooth audio connection.
No it's not made for this but there's other things that will
I plan to buy it but I don't know if it can be used for TV? My tv doesn't have bluetooth.
I recommend something for the TV in the description of my updated version on this, ruclips.net/video/8zFYeAu6zfc/видео.htmlsi=Ba-2EYt6u_h46CZJ
Best one for TV is zachus.me/BluetoothTV
How do I connect these things to my Klipsch earbuds? Im having NO luck.
Hi. I just got it a month ago when went to Amsterdam. Apparently my airfly trying to connect it doesn’t work at all😩 I tried everything to connect to my air max even in my AirPods won’t work at all 😢
You may need to exchange it. I just used my with my Airpods Max. Sorry you are having issues
Can i use this to connect my Airpod Pro Max's to my pc for office meetings to talk.
No it's not for that. Sorry
I want a bluetooth adapter for car use with the device continuously plugged to power. I currently have the Anker soundsync. Cons of the Anker: 1. it produces feedback when plugged to power when no music is playing. 2. It does not connect or power on automatically upon car start up (despite being plugged to power, which Anker claims should power on the device). I have to press the power button each time I enter the car and wait 5 seconds for connection. 3. Anker has cheap build quality. How does the AirFly Pro compare on these points? Thanks for the video
Here's an updated video I did on this talking more about usage in a car.
ruclips.net/video/8zFYeAu6zfc/видео.htmlsi=2_LOfDT4qa2uFqkj
Anything that is not built into your car will have an auto power shut off if things are not streaming through it to save the life of the device, you will always have to turn it on, in most cases, to activate it.
Sorry I don't know if anything. My car has carplay and Bluetooth built in and it still takes a good 1-3 mins to connect. Unless you honk a cord directly into you phone, it's just a process.. . Sorry
Nice review Zachus!
How is the latency? Did you notice anything audible with the in-flight viewing?
We have never noticed any and I've used this a lot.
What if you have a usb c wired headphone, does it work if you plug the usb c headphone into the usb c slot?
I'm assuming you mean using your USB cord too get audio from the screen. You can't. Those are just charging ports IF the plane even has them. That's why in most my travel videos for airlines, I recommend taking a battery pack or using Away.
Newer planes are getting Bluetooth options but it'll take years for them to be on every plane.
I charged mine, but maybe not enough. It blinks white, but then blinks amber, do you know why?
Press and hold the Power Button for 4 seconds to turn on AirFly Pro. AirFly flashes amber and white to indicate that it is in pairing mode.
Thank you 😊
Great video- very informative!
Thank you!
The transmision quality is good?
I've had no issues
Thank you 🙏🏼
Thanks kiddo. I needed to find out what to do when the airfly pro doesn't power up. Apparently mine got soda on the charging pins. I cleaned it with some electrical circuit spray,., Wella, the orange light is on and charging, Cool beans Zach
No problem 👍
Does it work with the PlayStation?
It will but I don't recommend it. You are better off with these amzn.to/472gluL they are awesome and work great, made by Sony for PS and are comfortable. If you get the AirFly you have to charge it and your headphones plus have it dangling from your remote. Trust me you'll think me later 😎
Hi, such a helpful video. Would you please link the adapter (prong) shown in your video? Thank you.
Oh yes, so sorry. I added it to the description and here is the link amzn.to/3DEeHl3
Is it only equipped with a 3.5mm jack pin? So would I need an adapter to connect it to an amplifier with a 6.35mm headphone socket?
It's really not designed for this. It's for flying... There are better products out there I think for what you are trying to do
@@Zachus so what would be a better option for connecting Apple Aipod Max headphones to a hifi system? It amazes me that headphones costing nealry £550 are not equipped with a standard jack pin connection.
Maybe something like this? amzn.to/3NPIv51
or this? amzn.to/41lR4YE
I could not get this to work with my iPod pros. Any suggestions?
What is it doing? It's just a basic Bluetooth connection. You should be able to connect them by holding the Bluetooth button down to start scanning
Hold down big button on AirFly Pro for 4-5 seconds till it starts blinking, white, and orange, which is pairing mode
On airpod pro hold button on the back down for 5 to 6 seconds then the two should pair with a 90 seconds
I use them with Bose. If issues continue, you need to go to your iPhone and remove the AirPod pros by going to Bluetooth in settings and click in the little eye beside your AirPods and saying forget this device and turn Bluetooth off on your phone and try to pair them with the air fly pro after this is complete you can repair them with your iPhone.
Would this also work as a bluetooth adapter connecting airpods to a windows pc? I've tried multiple bluetooth adapters but they don't work as well with aripods, they're laggy and there is some latency
Only if your computer has a headphone jack. It's not designed for this but you can plug it up to power and let stay charged. Worth a try.
Hi@@Zachus the adapter on the link you provided doesn't look like the one you have in the video. The one on the video has one of the legs that folds down. Do you have the link for the one in the video? or the name brand.
You are correct. Good eye. I now use this one amzn.to/48d54re
Also I have an updated version of this video, ➡️ ruclips.net/video/8zFYeAu6zfc/видео.html
Is this a good option for connecting AirPods to ps5? I don’t plan on using the mic cause I have a separate mic I just want the AirPods so I can hear what I’m playing and not have cords or big headphones
I would not recommend this. The only headphone jack is on the remote and you'll have this thing hanging down. There's a lot of great bluetooth headphones for PS5 that will work way better. A lot of people are pissed that PS5 didn't make this feature built in
@@Zachus do you not recommend it because it doesn’t work or for the inconvenience?
I have no idea if it'll work or not but it should because all it does is take the audio from a headphone jack and transmit it through bluetooth. I was talking more about the inconvenience.
I bought this for my ear buds, but I was wondering if this would also work for my husband’s blue tooth hearing aids?
Can he connect them to other things like his phone? If yes, then it should work.
@@Zachus Great!!! He can!!!! Thanks!
Awesome
Nice review. Thanks! But I seemed to have problem connecting it to my AirPod Pro (2nd Gen). Did you try to connect it to AirPods Pro (2nd Gen)?
I have connected my AirPod Pro, 2nd generation, and without any problems ... any Bluetooth headphones will work, I’ve used two sets of Bose, AirPod pros, as well as a Google headphones. Did you follow the instructions? If yes, maybe it is just a bad knee that you need to swap out for another one. We've had 3 for trips all work great.
Would these work with my mother’s tv? It is so loud!
Most TVs do not have a headphone jack and this is battery operated so I don't think it would be great. What I would do is get an AppleTV and then you can connect your airpods, or any bluetooth headphones to it.
zachus.me/AppleTV
Hope this helps. If you don't use Apple products or iPhone then you can Amazon FireTV or Google Play
FireTV: amzn.to/42CO7Vl
Google: amzn.to/3lzEXbD
If you use Apple stuff though like iPhone, Airpods, etc... go AppleTV, it's worth it.
But what was the sound like on a flight?
I'm not following. I use this on tons of flights and it works great with my AirPods and Bose Quiet Comforts as stated in the video.... can you clarify your question? Thanks for watching
Great video! I appreciate the endorsement. Does it work with a laptop?
Only if your laptop has a an old headphone jack. RC plug. If yes then it will work. Anything RC jack it can plug into will then transmit the audio to your Bluetooth devices.
Can this be used on a tv?
It's a Headphone jack so probably not unless you bought a converter to dual RC (Red/White) cable... There are things for TV though like this Look at these options. The first on is the best but if you need a budget one check out the second link. Hope this helps.

@@Zachus does it work good for a car stereo? Mine doesent have bluetooth
If your car has an old RC headphone jack, then yes it will. It's battery operated though so you'd probably want to get a USB-C to Car Power (cigarette lighter) so it would stay charged.
I wish they have a type C for this for my iPad .
Your iPad has Bluetooth built in... I don't understand your question
@@Zachus ohh so that I can used two Bluetooth wireless headphones. I was thinking that it will work.
Any Apple headphones will now do this on any Apple devices.
Bose QuietComfort 35 will also do this
Hope this helps
They actually do have a usb-c version of this.
