    Lowering interest rates alone will not save the US economy. Structural reforrms like reducing military expenditure, remove sanctions and tariffs, cooperate with China, etc are also required.

    Frankly, even the interest rate cut to a very low percentage, buying a vehicle in Singapore will be still very expensive due to the high COE jack up bidding, take for example the recently last bidding where all cat. had increase (Cat. A for vehicle below 1600cc bid at over $96k) and also by all those greedy different car brand dealers where they increase the price of their car. And that include the real estate property market and those building developers. If you're not rich, living in Singapore is a big financial burden to yourself and it will be very stressful.

      Not so. It depends on how you want to live. With or without car. Transport system here is good enough. As for housing, HDB flats. Yes, the prices have gone up but if you buy within your means, it’s still ok. Food: eat at hawker centres or cook your own meals. Stress: of course, there will be. Even people with money also have stress. If only the rich are able to live here, then where do all the “poor” go. Nah, don’t compare yourself with others, you’ll be fine.

    You have to be crazy to buy a house on a loan even if it is "cheap", dont be a slave for decades of something uncertain, is better to save and buy out of pocket

      this is too simplistic. it depends on the property market, different countries and different time periods will have different conditions. how fast your wages is rising compared to inflation, in particular the rise in property prices.

      That is the ideal scenario but it is easily said than done. Almost all house buyers in all countries are on house loan, all with varying reasons.
