  • #Epoxy #wood #carving . I carve a human torso out of a massive block of epoxy resin and wood. I sculpted the torso using a chainsaw, angle grinder and die grinder. I used English Walnut, Brazilian Rosewood, White Oak, Cherry and Epoxy Resin. I used MAS Epoxy "Deep Pour" resin. Huge thank you to MAS epoxy for supporting this build. This was my very first chainsaw carving I have ever done. I am beyond happy with how the end result turned out and I cant wait to do something similar again.

    I absolutely LOVE the detail you put into it. Not just curves but to put indents of the rib cage and the way the arm has a cut to show muscle tone, just incredible!!!

    I really loved watching this I'm utterly impressed by how talented and thoughtful this project was.. I'm used to being impressed by furniture but a sculpture is awesome. Really inspired to go make something with wood.

    as my husband said: a talented person will make a gorgeous thing out of any crap. It's super professional. Very aesthetically pleasing, very beautiful, such a thing will decorate any interior. My great-grandfather was a wood craftsman, but unfortunately he did not pass his craft on to his children.

    I find the sculpture amazing. The talent to do it is also amazing. My father-in-law did paintings and portraits which is also amazing. He was a jewelry model maker which carved, grinded, and sanded, from lead-tin metal.

    I love how you did with semi budget tools and not the commercial grade stuff. It reminds me if you practice and some skill you can get a lot done with the basics.

    This is by far the most beautiful wood and resin sculpture I have seen to date. The end results were far too mesmerizing to give the imperfections any notoriety. Great job! 😀👍

    Love the sculptures and video. My dad and I have been watching all morning. It's great how the cut-offs are used in other ways. The clean plane shavings might be cool in some epoxy for a sculpture.

    Для себя всегда ставлю оценку, соотношение технической сложности и совокупности результата.
    Сложность - я бы смог такое. ...технически )))
    Но замысел, но воплощение!!!
    Наверное это самое крутое из технически простого, что я видел.
    Касательно исполнения. Я бы слепил форму из гипса и копировал бы на фрезе.

    I can’t tell you how much I enjoy your channel, partly because it brings back special memories I have of my dad’s woodworking and spending my childhood in his workshop,but the other reason is because I could very easily have ended up sculpting in wood for a living, I actually did for a few years, in a very similar manner to you in fact, but I chose another path and I’m not sorry but I do enjoy vicariously living my parallel life through you.

    Please dont lay your handplane on the blade but on the side when you are done with them :) it hurts an old carpenter :) Love from Denmark

      The blades job is to cut through wood, how is resting the blade in wood going to hurt it

      ​@@adamwolf2376 the blade can get pushed up and you can get uneven cuts. Some times it takes a LONG time to make the handplane cut perfect. I learned to put them on the side so I do it every time because some day you don't have a wooden table and then you forget to put it on the side. But I see your point👍😃
