the best part of the trailer is definitely when the atrociraptor gets clotheslined. it looks like they just turned the image of the atrociraptor or even just went ragdoll mode according to the metal rod and looks absolutely brilliant

The pyroraptor swimming makes me so hyped about it, it’s not just another Velociraptor rip off, it’s own thing he is able to swim especially in freezing temperatures, I’m honestly so hyped for this film.
Edit: comments are now fighting about what DNA biosyn used to give the pyroraptor the ability to swim, personally I think it’s a platypus type of creature with the way it swim.

Not only is it cool that it can swim but it's cool to watch it swim it's not just paddling or something it's actually almost like a penguin or a seal moving in the water I wonder if that is to help it capture fish or something.

Anyone else thinks that the guy on the E-scooter that gets eaten by the Allo was one of the lucky fans that won the "death by dino" price? Cause if so, it's pretty cool they even put it in the trailer.
It's also very interesting that we kinda got the direct confirmation that the Giga is the largest carnivore in the franchise. So even bigger than the Spino. That was certainly a suprise for me.

Why was it a surprise to you that it's bigger than Spino? Rexy, Buck, Indom, etc are all bigger than Spino, Spino is only 43 feet long, 16 feet tall at the head, and 9 tons in CC, Spino is not the biggest and wasn't ever truly confirmed to be the biggest, the reason so many people think it is the biggest is because of Spino fanboys blowing its size way out of proportion and making up their own canon that it was the biggest, Spino isn't the biggest and never was

This movie deserves to be the end of the franchise. It seems so well made the camera shots that we have seen are stunning. I am content if this is the end of the Jurassic World Franchise
That shot of BioSyn reserve on fire is probably on of the most beautifully shot scenes in the franchise.

A T-rex is only 40 feet long and 12 feet high while the Giga is literally 45 feet long and 20 feet high its the second largest carnivore to have ever lived!

In terms of what could happen to the Giga, I wonder if they'll have it fall. Edit: (Change this to fall in someway, not necessarily falling to its death. It could be it looses it's footing and falls under the tower where it gets crushed, like Beaver theorised.) The prologue of the film has a close up as the Giga's foot nearly slips fighting the T-rex, I wonder if that will foreshadow its own fate.

Actually if you didn’t notice the pyroraptor has webbed feet I see flap things on the feet which means biosyn has putted some type of DNA in it so it could be highly adaptive to water and swimming they also could have made it to not be cold in frigid water.
Penguin DNA, perhaps? It'd make sense because the pyroraptor swims kinda like a penguin and its feathers resemble that of a penguins, which have water resistant and insulating properties.

@@darkdraco02 Every dino (to our knowledge, at least) that has been created has frog DNA to fill in certain gaps in the dinos genome, and we don't see webbed feet on any of the other dinosaurs.
@@GodzillasGhostGaming I was thinking it could be like in the jurassic world evolution games where we can add more frog or shark or turtle etc DNA to the dinos for better stats. Maybe if they used more frog to fill in the space for a Dino they had less normal DNA for then it may have stranger features. But yeah. If they used the normal amounts it probably wouldn't have changed the feet.

@ImCATA trex is back to being the largest. Max weights for trex is over 10 tons and the max for spino is 7. The average of a trex is still higher than the max of the spino.

I love the music tone when Pyroraptor shows up ... And can´t wait to see the magnifecent Therizinosaurus in action, and hope the World Era Pteranodons to return ... They are my absolute favorite ones, especially the red headed ones.

I love how much they're utilising animatronics this time around, and they look incredible. Especially with the Giga. I'm not a fan of the Giga design but for what it is, it looks pretty damn great!

He may have seen the Spino but the Spino isn’t the largest carnivore in the franchise. In fact Rexy is larger than the JP3 Spino. The only cannon size for the Spino is 43.9 feet long, 16 feet tall and 7 tons. Rexy is 44 feet long, 17 feet tall and 8 tons. So yeah technically Rexy is the largest carnivore Allan had seen before the Giga.
Actually Spino and Rexy were the same length 13.4 meters but rexy is a little bit taller when in comes to Head to Head but Spino is taller with the sail plus we also saw that Spino has differeny ways to stand(I mean in Camp Cretaecous) he uses different stances and in one of them he Looked taller than what his size is suppose to be like Darius said "you are bigger than I thought".

@@kaijuaceanimations83 I'm pretty sure the JP3 Spino is confirmed to be also 8 tons by the behind the scenes footage of JP3 and then we have Camp Cretaceous S4 were DreamWorks mentioned on their Official Twitter Page that the Spinosaurus(which is the same one btw from 2001) is now 10 tons during 2016. I mean we don't have an official size for the Giga yet so let's just wait and see.

@@kaijuaceanimations83 Well that's what DreamWorks stated so IDK, maybe because the Spino looks like it has more cartoony proportions or maybe it's because the Spinosaurus was subject to cruelty which is why it looked very malnourished?
The most amazing trailer in the world.I literally got chills down my spine.
After watching this the first time I've noticed that the carno has its horn broken off (don't know if that was from Fallen Kingdom) I'm for some Unkown reason interested in that.
Actually carno (or toro) had both his horns in fallen kingdom! So this definitely has to do with either the battles or.. something related to that!
I haven't watched the animated camp cretaceous series, but I think I heard someone mention that the carno with one broken horn was a character in that.

@@kingcrunchking Spinosaurus was the longest, Trex was the biggest because it was heavier than Giga and Spino. Colin doesn’t know anything about dinosaurs or he just doesn’t keep up with recent research, it’s been a few years since Trex gained it’s title of “the biggest theropod” so I doubt Colin pays much attention to science.
Something can’t be “confirmed” by someone who doesn’t know a lot about the topic or by a movie who pays no attention to scientific accuracy.

I think he means land animal and YES it is the biggest land carnivore known to man!!! Interesting fact btw, originally the mosasaur was an endangered species of small lizards before it went into the ocean and became what it's known as today.
Guys, it's possible Alan Grant isn't considering the spino when he calls the Giga the largest 'carnivore' ever, because he might class spino as a piscivore(NOT a carnivore). I know in the evolution games spinosaurus is listed under piscivore, he doesn't even show up if you search through the carnivore list; so it could just be the jurassic universe spino is outright officially regarded as piscivore. If this is the case, it's irrelevent how big either one is in comparison to one another. That's just what my initial thought was, probably wrong but it's just a guess...
Well, as Spino isnt known to ONLY eat on fish, it could be considered a carnivore.
@@solitarything1209 well yeah, in Jurassic movie universe it most likely IS a carnivore because the only one we know of on site B hunted trexes. But that's irrelevant, my point was to try and explain a scenario in which Alan correctly states the giga is the largest carnivore, while also allowing for the potentiality of the spinosaurus still being a larger animal. Only scenario I can think of is if for some reason in Jurassic universe paleontologists considered the non-clone original animal a piscivore, and the only evidence to back that would be the fact it's classified as such in the Evolution games. Only other option, is Alan is just plain wrong and not up to snuff within his own profession lol

I just want to clear something up. Giga is confirmed to be the biggest carnivore IN the JP/JW franchise, that is is you discount the Mosasaurus.
Yeah he is Probably Heavier than Rexy and Spino and if the Giga is Longer thsn Rexy than is longer than Spino since Spino and Rexy are both 13.4 meters long and Rexy is a little bit heavier than Spino so yeah Giga is the Biggest Carnivoure in the JP/JW Francise I mean if we don't count an Adult Indominus Rex.

My most favorite part of the trailer was Alan Grant commenting "The biggest carnivore the world has ever seen" when the protagonists encountered a Giganotosaurus, because even as a paleo nerd and I love the Spinosaurus, I highly doubt the Spino was the biggest land carnivore, yet it was the longest thanks to the 2014 and 2020 reconstructions that Spino fanboys hated this.
Recently Trex is considered the “biggest” theropod because size is determined by mass and Trex was considerably heavier than Spino and Giga, Spino was indeed the longest though.
Giga wasn't the biggest carnivore either though, rex holds the title of largest carnivore.
Spino is the Longest and the Rex is probably the Bigger because of Weight so.... This comment of the Giga is wrong but remember this is not a real paleontological accurate movie of dinos
Since Spino has the Tittle of the Longest and The T-Rex of the Bigger.... and the Giga is like in Between because its like a little bit longer than T-Rex and is heavier than Spino not by alot but in the end is Heavier.

I actually still have that game for the PS1, made me jump the first time I played it when that scene happened. Plus the prologue with the giga Vs trex, is also a reference to Dino crisis 2

Its kinda funny they set up the Giga as the biggest predatory dinosaur EVER!" When in reality that was still the Tyrannosaurus cause they where larger in terms of mass and weight. Suge Giga had a bit more lenght and hight but it wasnt a chonkie ball of pure muscle like Rex was.
I agree but that line honestly doesn't bother me. I think the most complete specimen of GIganotosaurus was something around 70% complete so its maximum size varies. I suppose it depends on what you mean by largest I guess.

I actually think pyroraptor swimming makes perfect sense. Beavers mentioned how could it swim with feathers, but we have hundreds of birds that swim perfectly. And as for the water temp, I think they’re probably gonna be warm blooded, so it wouldn’t be too much of an issue.

I think ever since Fallen Kingdom, The new trilogy makes the audience feel like dinosaurs are finally in our world now aka in cities, wilderness with modern wildlife etc. However they already were ever since JP3 at the ending, where Dr. Grant and all the other survivors are on a helicopter to go home and they see a group of Flyers migrating. So they were already in our territory from the third movie.

I think if the tower does come into play it should at least just trap the Giga by the tail or something mid fight while I'm guessing the Rex goes for its neck or something whatever goes down in that battle. I actually wouldn't mind the Rex dying either in this one.

Indominus in JW was (without confirmed weight) 43 feet long and 18 feet tall (NOT FULL SIZE, as a full sized Indominus would’ve been 55 feet long and 22 feet tall). Giga from Empire magazine was stated to be 22 FEET TALL AND 11 TONS. Empire also stated Giga was “bigger, badder, and nastier than even the Indominus”.
Therefore, Giga is indeed the LARGEST of all the theropods in the film universe, NOT Spino. Giga was also probably the largest theropod that walked the Earth, while the Indominus in JW was the largest MADE (if the JW Instagram is correct that the Indominus was 55 feet long in JW, it probably would be the same size as Giga).

love the speculative behavior from pyroraptor. its so unique the actually manages to set it apart from the other raptors in these films. we know birds, other than penguins, who are preety effective swimmers, andd that use similar stroke techniques. iven if theres still realism issues, idk i still like seeing something like it, its unique. i hope we get more stuff like that in the film. also correct me if im wrong but isnt the byosin base at sorna? what if spino shows up to kill the giga, in actual rexy style. that would redeem him in the eyes of everyone that still salty about it killing the rex. or do we have confirmation that the spino is dead? i dont follow much of the promotional canon outside the movies and havent read much of this one, so my guess could be utterly impossible on all fronts, if the base is not on the island and spino is dead.

About the “Biggest Carnivore” stuff:
In reality, Spinosaurus was longer than T.rex and Giganotosaurus, but probably not as heavy and robust. While in JP/JW Universe, it is possible that the INGEN Spinosaurus was long dead at the time of Dominion, which makes Giganotosaurus to be the largest cloned carnivorous dinosaur in the film.

Alan may have said that Giga is “The biggest carnivore the world has ever seen” because many palaeontologists call Spinosaurus a piscivore (A fish eater) and as we know in the movies Dr Grant is a diehard palaeontologist, I understand that in jurassic law Spino would be a carnivore (as we know from the events in JP3) but it seems that Dominion may be adding more scientifically accurate Dinos especially in the prologue that we’ve seen also in Jurassic World Evolution 2 when searching for dinos, there’s a piscivore tab dedicated to Spinosaurus, Suchomimus and Baryonyx so Frontier are also classing Spino as a piscivore. That’s my theory behind it 😅

Alan Grant saying the Giga is the biggest carnivore doesn't necessarily mean they are saying it's the biggest in real life as a lot of people seem to be arguing about. It could just mean that it's the biggest carnivore in the series. Bear in mind it was likely created by the rivals of InGen, Biosyn or whatever they are called, so in all probability they may have purposefully exaggerated its size so as to compete with JP's T Rex.
