Bob is not only hilariously funny but a genuinely lovely person. He teamed up with The Cats’ Protection League in an effort to get as many cats adopted as possible. He gave the cats crazy names and made personalised artworks to help capture the people’s imagination online. What you see is what you get with Bob. He’s just a genuine sweetheart. His autobiography is well worth a read ❤

They've probably got a big sales bump for Fuji 9 since this show first aired. I'm assuming it's Japanese, and possibly they've not heard of Bob Mortimer or WILTY. Their sales person is probably 1) totally mystified, 2) making up all sorts of garbage to their boss to explain the increased sales, and 3) enjoying the unexpected bonus!
Girls, Bob Mortimer used to be a solicitor (lawyer,) from the neigbouring town to me, six miles away (Middlesbrough). He met up and got together with Vic Reeves (Jim Moir) from Darlington, another local town. But please check out his fishing series where Bob and Paul Whitehouse travel the UK on fishing trips. It's such a lovely series. They just rock up to fishing spots, cast their reels, and discuss life, the universe and everything and enjoy Mother Nature.
Love that programme, so relaxing and fun, love their musings, though Bob does spend most of his time on the floor 😂 feel an infinity with them now as I’ve also had open heart surgery this past year 💕

Just on an unrelated note for you, its Armed Forces Day in the UK Saturday 29th of June, if you wanted to put up something military related you may have on your to do list. Wasn't sure if anyone had mentioned it. A bunch of places did parades and such today , they often have events going on leading up to the actual day.
Bob Mortimer is a legend. Poor David Mitchell - Bob drives him insane with his preposterous stories: setting fire to his house, going to see the gulf stream, cutting hair for sandwiches, his childhood neighbourhood game, cracking an egg in his bath, his home-brew beer names, giving food to a Formula One racer... completely mad, and often (but not always) true. And yes, you can get Fuji 9 online :)
Sadly the 17 sugars is also true. His father was killed in an accident when Bob was 6 and he believes part of his reaction to that was to become fixated on having exactly17 sugars in a cup of tea
Stopped doing sugar a while ago, only creamer. Then I stopped the creamer as well, only black. It takes a little getting used to, but creamer/sugar now tastes terrible to me.

Yes Bob has many clips of his appearances on WILTY. Every one is hilarious and outlandish. The other team guessing, always David Mitchell's team, are continually bamboozled by his stories.

I tried to read all of the comments & failed. But I’ll go ahead and make sure that Jo Brand gets a huge shoutout! She’s absolutely one of my personal favorites. Her “family’s favorite Christmas game” is a hoot, as is her story re: playing chauffeur for one of the Jackson 5. And James Acaster’s [and actually everyone else’s] Christmas stories are STELLAR. I love his story about the volunteer fireman on Boxing Day, and the year he tried to drown himself when he didn’t get the present he wanted. 😂

I love that Natasha you are Scottish 😊. I found your channel last night and binged watching you guys. To find American who understand the United Kingdom is 4 countries is refreshing. I watched you guys watch the Last Night of the Proms and you stood up for the British Nation Anthem was very touching. In Scotland you are either 2 things. Yeah i watch the show so I've seent this so funny. They also have a part on the show where they bring out a mystery guest and 1 team each member claims they know that person and goes on to tell funny stories of how they know that person and what happended, the other side have to guess who is the 1 telling the truth.

Given, Natasha, that in the past you have mentioned that you enjoy fishing and WE all know that you kinda like the countryside over here in Britain, I really think you both will absolutely love the BBC series 'Gone Fishing,. Each episode is 30min long and has the equally fantastic Bob mortimer and Paul Whitehouse going on a fishing trip around the UK. Already friends they formed a stronger friendship after they both had heart attacks. It is funny, heartwarming, and very peaceful to watch and the scenery is outstanding, cheers, take care, Tony here in the UK 🇬🇧

Every time he is on WILTY he comes up with some crazy story and it's nearly always true. And even his friends and companions who were in the stories have the most amazing names. I'm glad you like him, he is indeed a strange unit but also a legend
Yes, please do forget you heard David's spoilers! It's the only bit of this video that I wish they'd cut (just for future viewers!). Bob HAS told a few lies, but they are few and far between - having said that, please also try James Acaster, Henning Wehn and Claudia Winkleman. They, too, are gems.
You should also check out the 'this is my' segment of the show. Where a mystery guest is introduced. The members of one team all claim to know this person, but for 3 different reasons. The opposing team then have to decide which person does actually know the guest. Hilarious.

Oh yes, this is one of my favourite shows too. Lee has a sitcom called not going out if you're not aware. I'm new here, only watching for a short while, so I don't know if you've ever reacted to the following or not, apologies if you have. but off the top of my head, some hilarious shows/people to watch are. In no particular order. Miranda (sitcom by Miranda Hart) Mrs browns boys, Dave Allen, Dave Gorman, Harry Hill's tv burp, Saturday night take away (it's kinda a variety sorta show, but there's certainly a lot of funny moments, especillally their stitch ups of famous people, and i'm a celebrity get out of my ear bit they do) Michael Mcintyre, especially his skits on the kilt, the dentist, his wife & kids, there's several there & they're all hilarious. Joe Pasquale, Sarah Millican. And that's about it for the moment. I can't think of any more right now, But I hope there's something/someone there you haven't seen yet & might like. x
If you can get access to it (and it is a BBC property and they're about as protective as you would expect) 'The Fast Show' AKA 'Brilliant' in the US. At first, you can't quite figure-out what's going on. But it builds and builds and it keeps on going. It also has some of the funniest lines ever uttered in television comedy. Including one that required about five episodes of build-up before the punch line.

Given, Natasha, that in the past you have mentioned that you enjoy fishing and WE all know that you kinda like the countryside over here in Britain, I really think you both will absolutely love the BBC series 'Gone Fishing,. Each episode is 30min long and has the equally fantastic Bob mortimer and Paul Whitehouse going on a fishing trip around the UK. Already friends they formed a stronger friendship after they both had heart attacks. It is funny, heartwarming, and very peaceful to watch and the scenery is outstanding, cheers, take care, Tony here in the UK 🇬🇧

I've done some minor surgery on myself before. Had a piece of glass in my arm for a year, eventually just pushed it through the skin and pulled it out with tweezers

Bob Mortimer has done some crazy sh!t over the years, I won't say what because I don't want to spoil it for you. Every time he is on WILTY he comes up with some crazy story and it's nearly always true. And even his friends and companions who were in the stories have the most amazing names. I'm glad you like him, he is indeed a strange unit but also a legend

You should also check out the 'this is my' segment of the show. Where a mystery guest is introduced. The members of one team all claim to know this person, but for 3 different reasons. The opposing team then have to decide which person does actually know the guest. Hilarious.

Oh yes, this is one of my favourite shows too. Lee has a sitcom called not going out if you're not aware.
I'm new here, only watching for a short while, so I don't know if you've ever reacted to the following or not, apologies if you have.
but off the top of my head, some hilarious shows/people to watch are. In no particular order.
Miranda (sitcom by Miranda Hart) Mrs browns boys, Dave Allen, Dave Gorman, Harry Hill's tv burp, Saturday night take away (it's kinda a variety sorta show, but there's certainly a lot of funny moments, especillally their stitch ups of famous people, and i'm a celebrity get out of my ear bit they do)
Michael Mcintyre, especially his skits on the kilt, the dentist, his wife & kids, there's several there & they're all hilarious.
Joe Pasquale, Sarah Millican. And that's about it for the moment. I can't think of any more right now, But I hope there's something/someone there you haven't seen yet & might like. x
If you can get access to it (and it is a BBC property and they're about as protective as you would expect) 'The Fast Show' AKA 'Brilliant' in the US.
At first, you can't quite figure-out what's going on. But it builds and builds and it keeps on going.
It also has some of the funniest lines ever uttered in television comedy.
Including one that required about five episodes of build-up before the punch line.
A few with David Mitchell : "Victoria (David's wife) doesn't know this...", "Lee Mack vs. The Mitchells", "David Mitchell's Cape", a Lee Mack : "Wok Around the Clock"

If I recall, he didn't go into details on it. Theres not really been any time when they discuss the stories afterwards other than one word answers. I guess they are too strapped for time, as thatd be a show on it's own 😅
