- GO train Northbound at mile 57.49 of the CN Newmarket Sub pulling 10 passenger cars. What an ear splitting horrible horn on this cab car!!!

Tbh I miss these horns. The new cab cars don't have horns this bad..

You might actually be right. It kind of does make some sense that something would be blocking it.
There's nothing blocking it. It's the newer K5CA-LS horn, which can
either have three or five chimes blast at the same time. The three chime
blast should be the lower pitched bells, but if the bells are placed
the wrong way on the manifold, then you get this horrible high pitched
sound instead. The manifold looks very similar on both sides, so it's a
mistake GO shop employees used to make frequently. Thankfully they have learned, and aren't doing this anymore.

It sounds a bit like the kind of train horn you'd find in Eastern Europe.
Train horns in Central and Eastern Europe do not sound like this at all.

Train horns are just train horns. Tones can sound different sometimes and frequently all the time.

XxMattPlayzGamez xX it's an out of time Nathan K5LA! The last piece of equipment is an MP40 engine. GO uses a push/pull operation so that they don't have to wye the entire train after every trip to have the engine on the lead. The lead is a cab control car.
That zoom sound is probably the Doppler effect.

Not exactly always. It used to sound so much better back many years ago... Find tyfen's old video of it from 2006, and you'll hear a difference.
From my understading, this is a K5 with only bell 3 and 4 sounding. Not a pretty combo.
