@@RailroadCrossingsAndFunStuff uh he literally couldve stopped behind the white line he literally let go of the brake when he touched the white line 😒😒😒
This is nice with longer gate down time. Now on this day when RR crossing barriers are down I counted 16 to 18 seconds (The timer is between gates are fully down and the train approached on street) is not enough time to run or drive out of the track(s) which is bring more number of accidents. Those days in the 50 to 70ish the RR barriers are holding down in 40 to 45 seconds is less accident is given more time to leave from the track(s) as well the length of vehicle is longer such as SUV, larger rigs, bus, travel trailer, and hauling trailer behind plus pedestrians or with children as well baby stroller with carry objects such as shopping bags and elders are difficult walking on track(s). It's need to adjust the timer to longer length before the trains are passing on the street/roadway for the safety!
@@cruisevideo1 Actually I DI D hear it crack. If that driver had pulled ahead instead of back up, that arm would nev er have broken off & needed to be replaced; he had time t o drive off before the train g- ot there.
Do not Cross the Train Tracks when the Gate Arm is Down. That Driver should kept going when Signal approaches before the Gate went Down. If they Brake the Gate they will pay for the Maintenance to replace the Gate.
@Mr_Ordinary101 YT why do you wish bad for that driver , mistakes happen , he didn't do that with his willingness. Driver must have confessed his fault.
@@Manish_Kohad That mistake would have never happen in the first place if that driver had learn to stop behind that white limit line in the first place there is no excuses for stopping at the last minute like that the white limit line is there for a reason it's not there for looks if you can't learn to stop safely at railroad crossing then you should n't be driving.
NO I HEARD IT SNAP IN THE MIDDLE,,, IN A FEW MONTHS THAT GATE WILL GET WEAK WHERE HE SNAPPED IT AND IT WILL START TO FOLD OVER LIKE A STEP LADDER,,, HE FUCKED UP ABOUT $1 ,100 DOLLARS,,, THE TAX PAYERS WILL PAY HIS {HIT AND RUN} BILL,,, I bet he scratched the CRAP outta his car,,, he will lie and TELL the INSURANCE COMPANY THE CAR WASH DID IT,,,, HOPE HE GETS BUSTED FOR FRAUD,,,
Most of the newer one do spring back to center with no harm done to the gate. Some of the older ones have shear bolts that are made to break on an impact like that and the gate will just fall to the ground. Then the maintainer gets called out and re-hangs the gate and installs new shear bolts. (And makes a pretty easy three hours of OT)
Bet that left a big mark on his roof LOL, cheers Col
Bruh the gate came back in 2 peices 😂
That driver was Very Careless!
Bell goes BRRRRRRRRRRR, gate spit the screws, and crossbuck goes crazy.
This is why WC Hayes invented the bi directional gate guard
he could have stopped if he didn't hit the gas at the last second
+elilovestrains what a idiot driver
Well Chris he probably didn’t want to be to close

Thank god for that new hinged/spring gate
I’m surprise the gate didn’t snapped off because there’s no gate saver on this mechanism
Ooh, he almost broke the gate off
Trains are the biggest antiquated nightmare. They'll delay you an hour without giving a fuck.
Someone could have lifted gate off there is no down pressure.
0:32: The Car Saved The Gate.
SMART PERSON WOULD GONE RIGHT ON THROUGH AFTER OVER SHOOTING THE MARK.

you live in Georgia too
There goes his antenna lol
All crossings should have HD recording prosecute drivers & bill them for damage

0:31 the sound of the crack
It's a wonder that driver didn 't break the crossing arm off backing up the way he did. I can't help but wonder what he was thinking?
Actually you can hear it crack as he's backing up. CSX had to replace it a few days later.

Kevin Miller: So many people don't know how to pay attention to their surroundings and just zone out.
Why we let drivers with licenses from a cereal box drive we may never know
I bet the person will make a better effort to stop at the heavy white line in the future.
if that crossing guard could talk. i can here it calling that driver all kinds of names. lol
Lol
What limit lines are there for people...
15 20 feet

Broken gate on a brand new crossing
*Railroad Crossing gate (Im sorry my brain got the best of me)
They Could of Just Waited till the gate Lowered back Up instead of backing up but at least they were careful
That signal looks 1 1/2 times BIGGER than other normal signals... stack 3 of those cars on each other and then it will be as tall as the signal!
American Railfan I hadn't thought of that. That crossing is at the bottom of a small slope. Maybe it's so the lights will be visible at a distance?
