I’m 19 and as long as I can remember I’ve always looked at the republicans as a significantly worse party. Part of it is definitely the reason I was raised, but it’s kind of sad that we have voters that fully believe in their side and hate the other side. They definitely have a reason whatever it is, but imagine how cool it would be to have both candidates running for president that actually represent you
Voting strictly based on party is inconceivable to me.
If you can back it up, fine, but I specifically speak to my Christian conversative family who tell me directly to "Vote all Republican, like [I was] raised," yet have no specific political talking points to back up that reasoning.
They understand almost nothing about current political issues, policies, and the accumulative desires and goals of democrats. All they can say is that democrats are evil, godless, etc and point to our taxes, inflation and gas prices.
I pointed out that gas is high due to the russia/Ukraine war and our boycott on Russian oil and noted that gas was extremely high during war with Iraq, in the Bush Presidency. They said nothing.
They offer conspiracy and religion, instead of looking at history, facts and evidence.

I've always voted for the politician who was the most likely to push towards a future for all. As the years have progressed I've been voting more and more blue. For the past ten years I've voted exclusively blue. The Republicans have done this to themselves.

If we do not cause folks to express their deep seated crap, if we do not dig into that, there is no way to move culturally to the next level, as it will just show up again in one or two hundred years, as it keeps doing. Fox News is not causing people to do illegal things, that is on the people choosing to do those things.

It's true that some violent people like all those things I mentioned, but those things do not cause people to go off, only they do that, and they know better. If they go over the line, we will arrest them. Overwhelmingly, I would argue, folks who are riled up do not do bad things, they get over it, and the exercise is worth it because they end up satiated.
