Elizabeth Debicki is so underrated
Did you see her in The Tale? Not a huge role but she makes quite an impression.
@marvel nephilim This might be the year she could get a Supporting Actress Oscar nomination for "Widows". Reviews of her performance has been favorable and her name always seems to be tossed around.
Brilliant in Kettering Incident
Debicki is so stunning
Goddess
*Elizabeth talking about the fireplace kiss*
"there was this brilliant moment....it was going on for quite a while...ages...I mean we were having a lovely time anyway-"
I will never understand how actors and actresses don't fall for each other in real life
They do, a lot of the time actually
Really loved the film. Elizabeth Debicki’s performance blew my mind. The music is so powerful that it drags you in the film since the very beginning.
Wow Elizabeth reminds me of young Cate blanchett, and they also sound alike too since they’re Australian
THEY SOUND EXACTLY THE SAME I'M AMAZED
For the fist few minutes I was like.. 'I guess I can kinda see the resemblance with Cate? ' and then she spoke, and wow do they sound alike😂
@@loustick I finally understood why I fell I love with her since the first moment I see her. Everything is clear now. Thank u
Absolutely
@Zeke Lance bot
Gemma is just stunning.
Oh yes completely agree wow
The chemistry between Gemma and Elizabeth wow
4:18 that was so adorable wtf 🥺
ED seems to be very hmm tactile.
I can't believe they stood the entire time lol
I read Orlando and it almost felt like I was reading someone's diary. So expressive and so weird. Then a few years later, I heard of this film and thought I hd to watch it. The first forty five minutes made me uncomfortable, felt disconnected and couldn't really understand Vita's obsession with Virginia. But idk, Elizabeth Debicki must be one hell of an actor, because by the end of it I was so immersed. I was actually recommending it to my best friend because the last half hour is absolutely fabulous.
Vita was a bit of a collector of women, Virginia was a much better writer and a member of a literary set ( the Bloomsbury group) that was condescending. Culturally a bit of a scalp.
both gemma and elizabeth played their roles incredibly, if vita made you uncomfortable with her chasing of virginia then gemma did a good job there too
"i see your truuuue colooors" XD Gemma is so cute
She is adorable love her ❤️🏳️🌈
Elizabeth, what a majestic human being!
i am now in love with the voice of Elizabeth Debicki,,,so warm and so bold.
Gemma's voice... OMFGOSH! 😍 No words...
And Elizabeth is amazing, everyone is talking about her. But also Gemma is pretty wonderful (no only physically), we should give her more credit. I mean, in this case Vita is likely treating as an extra character but she was a main one in real life.
Ok I need to. I have to… point out the chemistry between Gemma and Elizabeth. Agh. The unique expressions of joy and energy exchange with one another!!!
Right there with u, gf. ❤️ That moment when Liz strokes Gemma's back is, Whuutttt?? 🥰 What we don't know or will never experience re: the performing arts ...
More projects for Elizabeth!!!! She is wonderful
I love their eloquence, especially Chanya's.
And on a side note: Elizabeth is damn fine.
Elizabeth, look at her so cool, hot, smart beauty... I love her
This was such a beautiful and alluring film. Probably my favourite from all the movies I saw at TIFF
23:04 omg the way elizabeth looks at gemma
I loved the film. I thought I was obsessed with Virginia but actually with Elizabeth
Sorry for my poor English
Thank you, Chanya Button, for making my dream come true!
Hi
I'm sorry ,but that middle finger 12:29 - 12:46 , I just can't stop laughin.
hahahah didn't notice it thanks for pointing it out it is hilarious
I love this film, I have watched it so many times. Everything came together so perfectly. Very talented women, these.
Im here for Gemma
this was so wonderful to watch, and the film was too. i wish i had someone to share my passion with -- someone that finds the film and this Q&A as enthralling and lovely as I did.
Ms. Button 's speech at the end regarding the marriages of both women. Their marriages were their anchors allowing them to pursue their writing. Mrs. Wolff 's husband, Leonard, published novels by both women. Although, Mrs. Wolff 's novels I are now acknowledged as influential and great, at the time of their publication, Vita Sackvill-West's works outsold her friend/lover's works.
So elegant, smart and beautiful piece this film. Thanks so much for such great quality art. Congratulations to all the team. Sublime!
Elizabeth is a mood seriously always cheerful and moving, love her
Elizabeth @23:55 when she starts rubbing Gamma back, just gives me all the feels!!!! I feel the love!! lol
Smithy omg same!
I was like my gay heart was so happy!! Hahah love this !!
same here! :)
Looking forward to seeing this film!
It's really nice watching gemma talk and explain
Omg Gemma is so cute.
Two brilliant theatre actors who’ve transitioned with considerable ease to film.
the director is so charismatic really
Gosh!! I want to watch this movie so badly 😍
I will love this movie! Cant wait! Amazing girls!
TheLovane GIRLS? Just how infantile do you perceive these WOMEN to be? Yes, language matters.
your pet crow sucks idiot
virginia sounds like a young cate blanchett, but nobody can beat cates voice😩
... or Elizabeth's. 😉
Which is funny cause if you watch some of her old videos, Cate has quite a "girlish" voice (can't think of any other word to describe it, don't know any technical terms, high pitched maybe? sorry) while Elizabeth has already an incredible voice being young. I think Cate's changed not only bc of age but bc of smoking as well; still a hell of a beautiful voice tho, I love their voices ❤
@@heyletsdoitcrazy Hard liquor will affect the voice, too. Cate has mentioned that she likes vodka. Perhaps a coincidence. 😏
Vita was very busy: many partners and parallel relationships. Virginia needed loyalty and support which she got from Leonard. She was passionate emotionally but not sexually.
So not true. Have you seen the film? And most importantly, have you read the letters?
I love that two women who played Virginia Woolf in film were both Australian. It would be interesting to see Elizabeth Debicki and Nicole Kidman sit down in an interview setting and talk about their experiences of playing VW.
Gemma is a gem omggggg
14:09 is so so funny
Looks like comedy scene lmao
Lmao they way they all move in synchrony
Elizabeth is such an amazing actress when I found out it was her in great Gatsby I was shocked j didn't even recognize her, that's how you know an actor is good hahaha
It’s an beautiful film.
Gemma is so beautiful!!
Vi la película varias veces m facino .Vita y Virginia.
fico chocada com a beleza da Elizabeth
(Okay I'll take this to bracket but like when Elizabeth's hand wanders down on Gemma's back and then Elizabeth takes it off and sort of realizes where she is and she's like "no I need to concentrate...fuck concentrate..." and shakes her head a little... Don't tell me that's not gay... :D 24:05, play it in a loop!)
LOL Trust me, you are NOT alone with this.
Gemma reminds me of Rachel Weisz
Ephraim S George yeah no. They are both talented.
@Ephraim Samuel George it’s not a competition
@Ephraim Samuel George wrong “facts”
21:32 mygod my ears and whole soul has been blessed with gayness. Elizabeth 😭❤️
gemma omg here smile
Lovely.
how perfect act Elizabeth Debicki...ıts ımpressive
Good to see Bob Mills still working.
No one is going to talk about the look elizabeth debicki has towards the director of the film?
this was actually a really great film. it was adapted from the play so i suppose you could get why the dialogue was like that.
Some filmed plays are exceptional. I'm thinking wayyy back to "Come Back to the 5 and Dime, Jimmy Dean Jimmy Dean" with Cher et al.
I love Jemma ❤️😻
GEMMAS SOOOO CUTE
Debicki's aussie accent is surprisingly subdued
ONLY HERE FOR GEMS
❤️❤️❤️
Gemma is probably one of the most beautiful women in the world
...can't believe a human being like ED exists, but it does o.O
A Gemma la Vi en otra película sommerland
I am in love with this film bravo they are amazing sexy and beautiful ❤️🏳️🌈
Elizabeth Debicki is so cute!❤❤❤❤
Elizabeth is beautiful and hot. I adore her so much.

The middle finger at 24:41

Its a 6 volume set of letters! Two of these have lots of letters
"Oh, amazing!" on the russian language in 01:09-01:11?
Где там русский язык?
@@nikanix2558 "o, прекрасно!" - just hear that
@@myharmony41 прикольно, я не замечала)
I love only the acting of Elizabeth and the music . And there's not much chemistry between two actresses. I am impressed by every act of Elizabeth as Virginia Woolf but feels like the other actress is acting in different movie. The plot and script are flawed. If not, this would be a great movie.
their chemistry is incredible and i think vita is so separate to virginia it might seem that she’s distanced but isn’t that the point that vita doesn’t fit in
I posted the movie 👍
the movie had so much room for improvement. The sets were boring, nothing remarkable about them. and the actresses lacked chemistry. Gemma carried the movie imo ❤️
I watched the film last night at the BFI at last. I’m a huge admirer of VW and was looking forward to watching this. Alas, perhaps one of the worst, most banal and cliché films I have ever seen. The actresses and actors are wonderful, but the script, dialogues, plot, visualisations, are pathetic. It’s a shame, I was dying to love it.
Chanya Button was the wrong director for this movie. How do you fu*k up such wonderful material?!??! So poorly executed. Thinks it is "feminist" and "queer" but is actually heteronormative bullish*t.
It really wasn't. You must've been watching with eyes and ears closed, because it was as feminist and lesbian as it could've been.
elaborate. I saw nothing but greatness; where is this lack of feminism and queerness?? i thought it was there -- they even had the decency to bring in Virginia's troubles with physical intimacy. if that isn't feminism then what is
I'm hoping for a movie of Elizabeth and Vanessa Kirby!!!
And ... they're good friends! 😉 (from one of Elizabeth's talk-show interviews)
@@rrrusty49would you mind posting a link of the talk show? Thank you
