Elizabeth is the best Diana I have ever seen. So natural and not feeling like a performance or a voice put on. Just HER. she blew my mind.

@@--julian_ I liked Emma Corrin best. Not perfect but with her portrayal, I sympathized the most with Diana.
For me, Elizabeth's portrayal felt manipulative and standoffish. Maybe this is what they were going for? I mean, it was a veeery difficult stage of Princess Di's life.

I was one of the few people that didn’t like Diana at the time. And I felled the same when Elizabeth played her. So job well done. But Elizabeth seems to be a great person. Looks like someone who’s great on a pubcrawl.
My only gripe with this season is Dominic is too handsome and charming to convincingly play Charles

Elizabeth Debicki was so good as Diana, I really enjoyed it!
Them recreating that Diana and Charles moment with Elizabeth hitting Dominic with that plate 🤣 only in real life it was a bottle.
Her performance blew my mind, it fit her perfectly to embody Diana that I became emotionally sympathetic for the character, even cried sometimes and felt her unhappiness all along.
The fact remains that Diana was isolated by her and Charles choices, loneliness, sorrow were all by products and the screen Diana depicts it movingly.Everyone is busy except her.
The detail of items, facilities, clothing and even the jewelry is remarkable. I believe that I am not the only person to notice the hard work of each detail put into each episode. The voice of Elizabeth Debicki as Diana is incredible as it seems so well matched. Great work!
More than ANY other show I've seen in a recent years, the prop and set design is absolutely INCREDIBLE. I feel like I'm really inside this royal world. The cars, palaces, the amazing interiors... it's unreal. Amazing job. The acting is brilliant but the visuals are something else.

Elizabeth Debiki is much taller and thinner than Diana was, but still it's the best portrayal of Diana so far

As far as the word goes around, Diana liked Hermes 24 Faubourg, Quelques fleurs by Houbigant, Bluebell by Penhaligon, and Diorissimo. Never heard about Blue grass being her favourite before.
Bluegrass is a very light
summer scent.
It was her favorite when she was younger.

I’ve read that she had dozens of favorite perfumes and loved anything with prominent Lily of the Valley (green floral) / Lily (white floral) notes in the top and heart of a fragrance. She kept everything even old favorites from her younger days.
But you know who would know for sure, based on research: The Duchess of Sussex.

Fabulous. Can you make a series out of the making of the crown? Great job Elizabeth & Dominic so realistic I got lost in the story watching it. The sets are tremendous too, you really feel like the filming is done in the Royal properties. Well done. Looking forward to the next chapter.
She is the perfect Diana, but I think he was totally miscast Dominic to replace how accurate Josh O'Connor was. He even said himself that he didn't do the work that Josh did. His mannerisms, his voice and his look are all wrong.
Dominic was too handsome to play Charles, I agree, but he's one of my favorite actors so I just went with it. Enjoyed him immensely.
I agree except for the voice, If you played O'Connor's performance and then West's performance back to back with your eyes closed, its hard to tell who is who.
@@orion8835 they didn’t care that much about physical appearance since season 1, John Lithgow was way too tall when he played Churchill and when he brought that up to the creative team they didn’t care.
@@LuigiUniverseReal He looked like Winston though. The eye colour is important because that what made Margaret stand out. Her baby blue eyes. Same with Queen Elizabeth. It’s like having Diana with brown eyes. It kinda doesn’t work.
Dominic West has that underlying smug, selfish, asshole vibe down that goes well for Charle's character at the time.

Was in Australia during their 83 tour. At a film set, Charles egged Diana on to smash a bottle over his head. She did and giggled like hell...Herald newspaper...
Also the details and precise sets were so amazing and realistic

The change of EYE colors really was absurd in this series. I mean how difficult would that had been to obtain blue contacts for Bonham-Carter, West, Kirby, Hamilton and Coleman? Easy. They ALL were supposed to have had blue eyes. And yet all of the minutiae of props were in overload and incredibly perfected detail. Utterly baffling. I personally found it maddening and weird

They tried with Coleman but she acts so much with her eyes and they kept irritating her. But yes I agree that is distracting.

@@SWLinPHX That is absurd regarding Olivia C actually trying them then rejecting them. Weak director there. Also contact lenses are no where near irritating nowadays. Re/Bonham-Carter( now age 56) not continuing the role that was rather DUMB. That said she must had been frightfully expensive. Manville is 66 now. So… Princess Margaret was 62 in 1992. At either rate Manville is a strong actress but looked very little like the the Princess except wigged and from behind.

🇬🇧🏰You must watch the CROWN since the first season. I think a lot of people watched only saison 4 & 5 and not the other because they is 🌹PRINCESS DIANA🌹. The other saisons are important to appreciate the CROWN.
