When we got on the beach it looked like it was going to be a perfect day but by the time we went down the 20-30 miles the wind had picked up and clouds covered up the sun. We stuck it out for a bit and wound up getting a few. How has Pompano fishing been for y'all this season? Thanks for watching!

Thanks, Miguel! Yeah we were lucky to get a few before that wind really started to pick up. Thinking about it now, I wonder if we would have had better luck right at the sticks when we got on the beach.

Good job guys! I was out there Monday I did good also. Me and my wife caught over 20 pomps.
Sounds like y'all had a heck of a day! We're still looking for days like that for this season. In previous years when we get on them we have caught 30+ by 11 and we just call it at the half day mark. These past few trips we have definitely been having to work for them though. Lol

We've been out fishing for Pompano a few times this season, was it on this day or another day? Sounds like a great day! One of our friends told us they got about 20 before noon. We just haven't been able to find the secret spot yet. lol

Pompano are some of the best tasting fish on the Gulf Coast. Definitely worth targeting them if the conditions are right and you are fishing the surf. I have a lot of older videos I need to work on, figured I'd do some of the recent stuff first though.@@christophervela5447

How's the grass situation?
On this day it was pretty bad. I didn't show how bad it was in the video but lines couldn't stay in place for more than 5 minutes at certain times. The last time we went it wasn't bad grass wise though.
Thanks for that info. We're planning to head back down Monday and Tuesday to try and get pomps. We were there a couple of weeks ago, got one nice sized, and alot of keeper reds. Also landed a 5' black top shark. Water was pretty dirty.
You're welcome. Just keep in mind that a cold front just came through this morning and the wind right now is currently 25mph. So water is probably gonna be dirty Monday and Tuesday, might be on the harder side to catch Pompano. Good luck out there!@@pistis6625
