The first clip in Chicago the cops handled themselves very professionally and so did the motorcycle rider. That is a prefect example of how an interaction with the police is supposed to be handled.

You can here dispatch yelling all other units to disregard that call because it's the wrong guy and enough units are already on scene.

When a citizen that hasn't committed a crime requires a supervisor, the cops that pulled him over have the obligation to bring him on the scene!
Besides, this is an unlawful detention and arrest, firstly because their accusations are false, secondly because refusing to answer questions can't be considered as a valid reason to do so (5th amendment).

The first stop with the mini bikes in Chicago is a perfect example of be respectful to cops and they will return the favor.
I had an incident where I was hanging out with friends and running to catch up with them but they were just on a regular bicycle going down the street and out of nowhere 5 cop cars (1 with a k9 dog) pulled in front of me almost hitting me with his car then they had their guns out telling me to put my fking hands on the car. One cop was checking my pockets and stuff and they were suppose to go to this street 1 block down from where I was and boy I was scared for my life. They obviously got the wrong person who had similar clothes on as me and the guy who called the cops (who was still on the phone with the dispatcher) for some serious domestic call was on the corner of the street where the cops were suppose to go to. I swear, these cops need to double check before approaching a random strangers with a k9 and guns out at someone.

People could take a good lesson from that first clip. If you're pulled over for something you didn't do, let the cops do their jobs. They'll realize it's not you and you're on your way. People get arrested or even lose their lives for acting like a badass or a martyr and it's not worth it.
But to instantly put him in cuffs, for no justifiable cause? Suspicion is not a justifiable cause. His description loosely matches, but white and black shoes are quite common. A white helmet is common. His bike isn't even a dirt bike, but I'm sure they left out the reported colour of that too, just so that they could look like they are proactive in their search for something they know they won't find. Actual dude on a dirt bike who pulled a gun, is long gone taking pathways and parks between streets to keep a down low.
Unless it's just a bogus report from someone who doesn't want the noise of bikers around.
@@Dan_Tactics matching the description of a suspect in a crime is enough for the officer to detain you. They have the right to do so until they identify you. After identifying and confirming that you were not the perpetrator they must let you go. Any further detainment would be unlawful detainment.

That seems like the only piece of truly defining evidence the police were looking for. so the guy would have probably been arrested even though it was someone else. Not to mention, a dozen officers showed up after he was in cuffs, it's a spectacle to them. That description is pretty vague, as well, white "dirt bike" with common helmet and shoes.
@@phatcyclist so when given a description, police can detain if they match most of the description. However, the description has to be substantial so something like "the guy was white" isn't substantial, but he was x, y, and z is. If he did have a concealed carry, they now have probable cause and can legally arrest him. They would test the gun and the casings for recent firing and shell striations from the barrel. Unless the guy came straight from the range and had the exact same gun, he would be let go.

If a cop pulls up to a traffic light and asks for your name and you refuse to give it, they cant then use that as a pretext to pull you over.

Thank you for this video. Moto Rides AZ makes multiple requests for a supervisor - obviously seen on TV and in the movies. Police officers are NOT obligated to get a supervisor at every request, they aren't McDonald's; if that were true, the senior supervisor could be the busiest man in the department, having to run from one event to another. Imagine the wait time to see a supervisor that mandatorily had to attend EVERY infraction when and where they were requested.

Newsflash guys: You can ask for a supervisor four times or a hundred times; there is zero requirement for a police officer to call up his sergeant, supervisor, watch commander, captain, or chief. Whatever you’ve been told or whatever you read, this is the absolute truth.
Go visit audit the auditor..if you ask a public servant for his supervisor he is lawfully obligated to call hime here

That had to happen a few years ago, and no one did any wrong doing, but the supervisor had to come to clear everything up.

The rider was well with in his rights, it wasn’t about being petty it was more he didn’t do anything wrong but they stopped him for no just reason. Petty would be if he did do something wrong and acted the way he did, a cop can’t just stop you for no just reason and ask for your name or legal paper work thats illegal. So yes the biker was well within his rights not giving up his name and that officer was harassing him.
@@Itsjustgaming859 Officers do not have to provide you with why you were stopped. But is illegal to not follow an officers commands. It was bs why he was stopped but he didn't comply that is an arrestable offense.
Mike Jabs I guess I was wrong, I was under the impression that officers needed a reason to pull someone over in order to obtain someone’s identification. But I’ve gotta admit that is kinda shitty and definitely feel like that’s a violation of my rights if I did ever get stopped for no just reason and still have to provide ID, but then again I give the cop the benefit of the doubt and hand over my ID regardless because 9 times outa 10 he’s got a reason why he’s pulling me over. I own a Cadillac Escalade in a state were well lots of people like to steal those vehicles, long story short cop pulled me over asked if the vehicle was mine and asked for my ID and I was on my way. Clearly I was wrong sorry bout that.
Mike Jabs ; Yes they do. They have to give you a reason for stopping you. They cannot randomly make a stop. But, they DID tell him why and it was that he was tailgating. Biker just wanted to be an ass. Had he just told them his name, they would have let him go, but he had to drag it out like a drama queen. I’m sure they found his name on his drivers license 😂
