  • Video from the evening of the 29th and the early morning of the 30th of April around Bendigo with a continuation of the Deniliquin grain train procession plus one to Piangil as well as another of SSR's loco transfers.
First up is SSR's 0082, this time formed by a couple of P Classes, S312 and BL29, while later in the evening it's out to Epsom again to see Pacific National's 9048 Deniliquin grain with G524 leading a pair of XR's, with this train being seen again at Bendigo and then Kangaroo Flat. Early the next morning we see PN's first train to Piangil in a while barreling through Kangaroo Flat with triple XR's in charge of 9055 empties from North Geelong.
    Trains seen in order are:
    0082- P18, P17, S312 and BL29
    9048- G524, XR557 and XR552
    9055- XR554, XR553 and XR555

The little "P" class in the lead, that's what I like. Night filming turned out nice too, especially the passenger sets with the shiny bodywork. Great video young Brad!

It's been nice having SSR buy up some of the P Class fleet, for a class that was never really common in Bendigo they've certainly made themselves common here now.
Not many Vlocities left in their original non-PTV liveries and it looks like the Sprinters are now in for it with 7001 being released today in the purple. Video of that will probably go up tomorrow.

Thank you Brad, lovely footage. Great to see the Bendigo line having multiple PN grainys at a time. Hopefully more to come 🙏

Should be 3-4 more Deniliquin runs to come this week but nothing else for Piangil at this stage from what I've seen.

@@Greensleeves94 Great to know. Piangil is always hit and miss. Thought PN might run a few Emerald grainys as they have been flat out exporting at Appleton Dock but none really yet. Surprised there hasn't been more for Mitiamo and Elmore. They both had record recievals at harvest.

    Nice video.
When you film at Bendigo yard where do you stand an film like is there an area where you are allowed to film?

The Bendigo Yard scenes are filmed from the footpath on the Myrtle St. road bridge, which while it provides a good vantage point comes with the downside of road traffic noise as it's a heavily used bridge, though that's a downside I can easily live with.

Their locos are usually too busy to sit still long enough to get repainted

At 13.46 i am very suprised the 30 wagons can handle 3 turns of Junction switch...Should hand gone through Plateform 1 with smooth turn.

I'm surprised they sent it through platform 2 as I don't think there was anything in 1. They put a Vlocity set straight into 2 after the grain cleared though so maybe that was part of the plan.

Hello been watching for quite some time and I've been wondering where do you source your current freight timetables? - I can't seem to find them anywhere - only 12 month old stuff

    • @Greensleeves94
      @Greensleeves94  3 года назад

Links to both V/Line and ARTC timetables are in the video description, but grain trains aren't listed in them as they only run when required. If you watch them enough though you'll start to recognise patterns to when they run.
I.e. Elmore trains usually return into Bendigo around 15:00 in the afternoon; Deniliquin trains around 21:00 in the evening and trains from the Swan Hill line anywhere between 02:00 and 03:30 of a morning.
