Stunning video Will.
Thanks Lee!
Awesome! I recorded you going past Wallan!
Thank you! Ah you’re keen!
@@WillJamesRailways Yesss! Did you see me as you were passing by?
Nice.
Thank you!
Excellent Will...thanks
Thank you George!
Excellent video Will James
Thank you!
This is absolutely incredible.
Thank you mate!
Thank you for posting your trip. So much to see and do and I had no idea these slow tours existed!
Thanks for watching!
Another interesting vid on an unusual trip.
Seems to have a glitch in the description with the reference to Sealake.
Thanks John! That’s all fixed!
What an awesome journey Will, loved the Silo Art tour and what an amazing livery on the train.
I enjoyed the professional filming and the commentary as it felt like I was hanging out on the journey.
Keep up the great work Will.
Thank you very much Luke!
Excellent video, thank you. G J Coles first store was in Wilmott Tasmania
Thank you! Sorry I just went off the information I was told when there. I can only try harder in future.
Sorry about the mistake if it is the case.
Nope, His father George W Coles moved to Tasmania after selling his first store to George.J. in 1910
then he moved to Wilmott and opened another store according to Coles's official history.
Does that fit in with the date the Wilmott store was established?
I know histories often get twisted in the name of tourism :)
@@ausfoodgarden Don't know much about the Wilmott store history. The locals were always adamant that it was GJ Coles who set it up. The original store burnt down about 10 years ago
Did Steamrail’s Northern Weekender back in 2018, had a fantastic time in the sleeping carriages. I was the only kid onboard!
Ah great to hear Matt! I hope they also go back to running them next year!
@@WillJamesRailways same! I was in a carriage called ‘Werribee’ which is a blue air conditioned carriage that was used on The Vinelander
Great vid Will, I have been to all those places, good to see them again. Loved the vision of Toc in the fog 👍
Thanks Robert! Yes it was a really atmospheric morning, had to make the most of it!
What a fantastic video that you have put together well done mate
Thank you!
That looked like a great weekend. A66 sure looks in awesome condition. Cheers for sharing your trip with us Will.
Certainly was Chris! They’ve done an excellent job with it, and hopefully it’s around for longer to come! Thanks for watching!
Another great video Will. 👌 Looks like a wonderful trip. Also loved the drone shots near the end. 😍
Thank you mate!
Hi Will. Will you be posting the K class tour that happened on Saturday. I’d love to see the video
Eventually, there’s a lot of videos in front of it! However it’ll be on Patreon soon.
Will, what an amazing journey. Thank you for sharing the trip with us, you made us feel we were there with you.
It is certainly something on my bucket list to do some of these heritage train journeys.
Thank you for sharing with us, and stay safe, Michael
Thanks Michael!
Tocumwal is a lovely town - a great real opportunity was missed when it was decided not to use that line as part of the inland rail route to Brisbane! Anyway great video mate!
Absolutely Ken! I agree there, would have been great to see the railway back to somewhat of its former glory!
This looked like the best one yet, we love that part of the world
Thanks Daniel! Was a great trip to make!
Nic video Will. Great trip review as always. I would love to do something like that in the future! maybe once I'm a bit older I'll do one. - Nicholas.
Thanks Nicholas! Certainly a great experience
Great video! The engine looks so well cared for. The end of the video with the drone footage of the bridge is spectacular. I would love to learn more about that bridge too.
Thanks Richard!
Yeah it’s a really interesting bit of infrastructure!
Bravo and well done! Glade you enjoyed the trip! I will be going on the Quambi trip at the end of the month should be awesome!!!
Thank you Les!
Ah good as, I hope you have a great time!
Excellent video. What are your thoughts on upgrading your room for this trip compared to the Grainlander?
Thanks! Well, as a Railfan and someone who travelled on these with a second back with all my cameras, I much preferred sleeping in Wando, even though it was cold I liked the space!
I would probably still like to try a bigger room in on of the overland cars just to see how it would be!
@@WillJamesRailways thanks for your feedback. From what I saw in your video the bed looked smaller. The layout of Wando I find appealing. And of course the opening window's. I'm guessing in Wando you had all your gear charging by power banks etc?
@@DanTheRailFanMan85 yes I took a number of power banks to keep everything going!
Tocumwal not Sea Lake? :)
I’m not sure where this mistake is in the video, if you could time stamp it, as I’ve watched it back through and can’t find it.
@@WillJamesRailways not the actual video, but the description :)
