Another great video Will. Of course I followed the train to Traralgon, then headed up to Walhalla for the trip. Once again - a pleasant surprise seeing you at Walhalla. Looks like it was just as good riding as it was chasing!! Keep em coming!!
Will, another great trip report. You really make us feel we are on the journey. Thank you for sharing, we really appreciate your reports, I am sure I speak for all of us. Cheers, and stay safe, Michael
I’ve watched the Snow Train come into Traralgon for my entire life, some years dad would take me to the Traralgon foot bridge on Bank Street and later years trackside to watch this massive spectacle leave the town, and this year I finally rode it, and it was probably one of the greatest experiences I’ve ever had. The whistle through Melbourne just bringing the city alive, an amazing sound and echo that is almost indescribable. Definitely recommend anyone to do this trip as I definitely will every year
Those images you captured from outside the train were epic, they were giving those engines the full beans, it gave me goose bumps. Also the sound of that steam whistle when you got back into Melbourne, echoing amongst the tall buildings, that was unreal. Great video
Great film and yes it would be great to see you document the surrounding rail activities in the mountains. Cheers for filming...loved the run by with the restored Auto in the foreground...so nostalgic.
It was my first time on the snow train and I absolutely loved it from start to finish despite the rain and the delays but just meant more time to enjoy the experience. The best part of the trip has to be the R's blasting the whistles across the Flinders st viaduct. Will definitely be making this trip again. Will you've made yet again another great video, absolutely love your hard work and commitment to these videos you make.
If you do a story on the Walhalla line remember to include the work done by the Army Reserve 22 Construction Regiment and Mr Steve Bell who helped get it to happen. I was the operations officer when this was done.
Nice video Will. I rode the train from Pakenham to Traralgon and return. I had a nice day in Traralgon and overall it was a really nice trip and day out. The Walhalla Goldfields railway is a place I really want to visit. Nice one mate. - Nicholas.
Brilliant video apart from that Wyalla is in Queensland! Keep up the good work though. These videos are a bit of inspiration to get my model trains happening. And the echo of that mournful whistle off the city buildings.....!
Thanks! Yes I understand the mistake I’ve made and I can only work harder in future to hopefully prevent this happening again! Thanks for watching and I am sorry about the mistake!
I’m so sorry about the mistake. I’m still weighing up taking down the video as I’ve upset a lot of people about my mistake on the pronunciation. I’ll keep trying to work harder in the future. Sorry again.
I know there was a lot of comments and messages about the mispronunciation. I am still incredibly sorry for the mistake, I had weighted up deleting this video because of it. The constant mistakes I’ve been making with name mispronunciation has led me to reconsider making certain videos. I am once again sorry, and I’m still trying to improve videos but yeah on the other hand might be time to stop! Thanks and sorry again.

The sounds through the city at night are just pure magic
It’s a really great experience!

Thank you very much Michael!
Knew the snow train was popular but 13 cars blew me away. Must give thanks to the lads in Glasgow for making such a great sounding whistle.
Yeah it’s awesome to see how popular it is! I agree, something really amazing!
Sorry Chaps, Fairly sure the whistle is a Vic made 5 chime. But I'm a Diesel driver (well ex!) so I do not exactly know ;)

Thank you! Hopefully I’ll go back! I think it’ll take a bit of planning to hopefully get it all in and correctly! But I’m keen to do it!
@@WillJamesRailways Going by the footage you got on this trip I'd say you'll do a great job of it!

@@Rheilffordd I thought it was but also found one in Queensland, but, it is spelt Wyalla not Whyalla. Everyone confused now?
@@WillJamesRailways All good. Keep up the good work.
Excellent stuff: I hope you get a commission from the Victorian Tourist Commission; brilliant presentation.
Thank you very much! That would be alright! Haha
Haven't rode it yet but one year, I'll do it
Always next year!
Wanted to get a ticket from Moe to Traralgon but missed out.
Ah hopefully next year!
Walhalla not Whyalla!

@@WillJamesRailways easy fix jst a bit of re editing, the rest is fine. Even a sub title will suffice.
great video but please get the name Walhalla right

Steam engines are steam engines
