One correction I would add at 3:20. The arms are not suspended by the thumbs. It should feel like they are suspended at the Peritoneum/triple Heater 6 spot in the forearm. This should make the arms feel like they are floating/suspended.
Roll the shoulders back? My Laoshi, a student of Grand Master Sam Tam for almost 20 years has us roll our shoulders to the side and forward as to create a hollow in the chest for Qi to flow without being choked off. Meridian must be open!
Hi John. I only mention the shoulder roll back at the beginning to get people to relax the tension in their shoulders before they start. When I am raising my hands up the front and create the first pose of holding the ball, I mention the slight squeeze of the ball which helps to hollow the chest. Enjoy your practice!
This is not yi chuan.the most important parts are missing.mind induced contradiction force.and the “relax in yichuan is specific. Relax is in all internal arts not “relax”. But in yi chuan its the state of a specific distribution of tention and relaxation.its not called yi chuan for nothing. Vhange how wangxianzhai placed yi as king(the be all end all) and its a different art. Its not even hsing-i chuan. Closer to how most practise taichi zhan zhuan

Thank you so much for sharing! Your instruction has greatly improve my zhan zhang practice.
simply, and aptly demonstrated. an explanation of grounding, and of rounding would be helpful.
