  • Hey everyone and welcome back to Zeepkist! Today we're building SLIPPERY Tracks and apparently I made the most impossible track of all time. Seriously this track is so gnarly we had to run it twice and it still was extremely difficult for people to finish!

    As usually, the map got fun after finding the correct lines. Just finding those lines was "slightly" hard this time around :D
    Also, I am sorry about today's lobby if you were there still when the madness began, should keep that host to myself firmly in future.

    I have theme suggestion: "Choose your challenge". At each checkpoint you get 2 choices: 1 of the tracks is hard (but not near impossible) to survive; while the other choice guarantees survival, but takes a few seconds longer to arrive at the next checkpoint than the challenge route. That way if the track builder makes a challenge too hard, any driver can decide to skip it.

      @@AhmedUqaili Not really one risky route (which sounds like it's just 1 decision), more like a bunch of risky sections (that you can individually skip). But apart from that nitpick, you could call it that. I was thinking more along the lines of something that is hard to master, but the challenges could theoretically also be 3 hammers in a row.

    Map idea: Parallel Tracks. You pick your track route at the beginning and then stay side-by-side until the finish. They can do whatever they want: go up, down, into tunnels, cross each other, over each other, etc. The only thing that would limit it is that they need to have similar or exactly the same route time because if one of them is simply faster, there is no point. That is what I mean by Parallel.

      I had a similar idea on a previous one, it would be a faster but much harder track and an easier but slower track, no by much but enough so if people get really good on the easy one it would be better to try and get the hard one

      @@cholsreammos I like the idea but I have one flaw with it. If there was an easy side and a hard side, it would be really hard to perfect the timing because our definition of Hard may be harder to some, or easier to others. That’s why I believe it’s better to have two tracks of similar difficulty because either way you’ll get a fair experience both ways

    You COULD make a rule that you have to be able to validate your track within 10 minutes. That would eliminate impossible tracks like Dapper's where he needed 2 hours for the validation.

    I like the idea of no time limit but I think a lot of the fun comes out of seeing how much each person can do in 15 minutes

      they mentioned 30 minutes, i like that more. a little more time to work stuff out wouldve been nice with many of the tracks in the past

    I'd love to see you guys do a set of boards inspired by classic racers - Mario Kart, F-Zero, heck, go all the way back to RC Pro-Am.

    I love these Zeepkist videos so much! They're so well done and the game really does lend itself to your style. Much love Kan! Also, I think the 30 minute and longer track builds end up being more interesting and they feel more creative and whole.

    Next challenge. A track finishable in less than 50s.
    Ps. 15:50: what I like to call noob boosters. A booster that's enough to climb up but you won't even get it if you're in the right line

    Longer sessions per track seem fun. 15min per timr trials are a good choice.
    Reducing the build time could work, since the short more exploitable tracksoffer many tries and less frustration (example the sandtrack of . . Kosmo?)
    Overall it's a very enjoyable series

    Track idea: Hill Climber Choice: Climb a hill. Every now and then, the track splits in two, into a tunnel where they don’t see the end of the tunnel. Do like five tunnels, then a final curve for the finish where you drop a while before winning.

      The last tube to go into has a hill that you have to be going more than 130 to make it up...I couldn't get up that last hill

    A speed chack in a map makes it harder, but not unplayable. I think this is a great map improving ice and tunnel skills. Keep it up! Dont let them talk your creations down.

    Suggestion for the next unlimited time track theme: The Dark Souls of Tracks. Whatever that means to you, make a track that embodies it.
    Also, it seems like you've found Warcan's one weakness: Ice.

    Track theme "Choices".
    Build tracks that split off into two tracks, rejoin into one and repeat.
    You can try to make each split section equal in time to complete, but I think a super hard half that is slightly faster will be better.
    Then new players can take the easy lines and post a time, Warcans can take the hard lines and win and everyone else can do a mix of hard and easy to compete for 2nd place whilst still being able to finish.

    You well executed a good and interesting theme , and calling it a hard track is probably going to age like milk as players get better at the game .

    I absolutely love these zeepkist videos! You inspired me to buy this game, and I always watch all your guys' zeepkist videos within an hour after they come out.
    A theme I'd like you guys to build is something with an ocean/sea/islands! I played in a lobby that had a pirate ship level that was really awesome, and I'd like to see what you guys come up with!

    I like that track. Idk why people are complaining. just play more and you get better gradually. why is that such a hard concept for people to grasp these days, everyone just expects to be good out the box.

    Possible idea for new tracks?
    - Rock slides
    - In the mines
    - Uphill
    - Space/low gravity? (is this possible in Zeepkist?)
    - Jungle
    - Skydiving (could just be a super steep track)
    - Troll levels?
    Perhaps 30 minutes is a better time limit. 15 minutes feels too short, but obviously unlimited is too much.

    Ice level being controversial? Clearly you need a more universally recognized good level theme, like an underwater level, or maybe an escort level. A level where if you go too fast you fall off the track.

    Cheat track: add lots of random elements that have lots of ways to skip sections, some obvious some hidden and some unintentional

    I think a "perfect/near perfect" line track would be cool. It's something that would have to be longer than 15 minutes, but the concept would be all acceleration is via gravity, no boosts or fans. You go down bits and then you end up going around obstacles or up slight gradients and if you choose correctly, you'll have enough speed to crest over into the next drop. Basically similar to what you did this week, sans the ice. I think it'd be cool to see what everyone else does because what you should do is make an obvious optimal line, like if you keep your car in the middle of the track as best you can, you will make it. But then when skill and gambits gets involved like taking turns a bit tighter or hitting 1 obstacle instead of swerving around it that is the difference in time. Maybe have the big builds be something like ever 4th themed track build. So you guys will do 3 speed builds and then one 1 day build (like 24 hours is the absolute cut off.)

    Track theme "Random".
    Think open arena with a bunch of Booster pads (clearly marked) and checkpoints and obstacles / stunts scattered about.
    Your only goals, pass through all the checkpoints in what ever order and finish.
    You may never know which checkpoints in what order gives the best time.

    You should make just a normal soap box race with no boosters and all down hill. Make the start really slow but at the end you are doing at least 160

    i think the trouble with ice is that it's very learny with regards to the lines you use. (it requires a lot of trial and error)
    you learn your own level while testing, and then the lines are slightly different and nobody else knows them online

    Theme idea: Mazes((have to gradually figure out what routes lead to end and which is best and how to drive that route the best but no checkpoints or way to really know what goes where))

    For next weeks theme try, old school game tracks. Basically rough replicas of tracls from games you played when you were younger such as maybe mario kart on older nintendo systems as an example.

    Oh what about a Sky fall challenge?
    Each track involves minimal ground, or something like a steep cliff side, that makes you have to fall and land on the ledges or plateaus.

    This map itself can be improved with 1 simple step.
    Numbers on top of the pipes. A few of your lines are guessing and the arrows are confusing at times as it could be the final one just as much as the first. You can also add normal land patches off line to allow people to not be perfect but still reward on center.
    Remember the player needs to trial and error to figure out where to go. This isn't good for a quick race.
    Otherwise this track was really cool, with a bit of "forgiveness at the cost of time" and guidance it would be amazing.

    I was rewatching the hill segment of this in my head for some reason and just came up with a cool idea that may need a 30 minute timer
    Make a track where you are upsidedown or sideways for as much of the track as possible
    And another idea i mentioned on a previous episode
    There are two tracks, one would be a faster but a bit of a harder route and an easier but slower route, not by much but enough so if people get really good on the easy one it would be better to try and get the hard one

    Idea for a track: a long circuit track, maybe formula one style, and the idea isn’t to put down the fastest time, but the longest time by doing as many laps as possible without dying OR finishing until just before the timer runs out.

    TRACK THEME SUGGESTIONS:
    1) "Open world" Track - Choose your own route to the finish.
    2) Rollercoaster Track
    3) Trap Track.
    4) Drift Track?? (Boost + Braking)
    5) Labyrint Track. Only 1 way to the finish.
    6) Build a track on my prebuild rocky vulcano level/map layout

    Video idea, or multiple video idea... : Make multiple short tracks, like 30 seconds long. Each one a different biome like water, ice, fire, lava, forest, desert, mountain, snow, swamp, etc.. And then after making a dozen tracks or so, Combine them all into one map. and call it "Traveling the world"... or something like that.

    When talking themes, I'd suggest sumthin not too different from kAn's idea: A track that comes back at itself multiple times - would u rather like to built sumthin like kAn did today? Or do u prefer a track that crosses its own paths along the roads without that big open space? Choice is yours, have fun

    Long straight track with jumps but at each jump there are different size ramps with different distances so you kind have to find and optimal route.

    Side thought. I image y’all stopped posting your view of the others track to incentivize people watching other channels but sometimes I think it’d be cool to see the POV, not sure if it would be worth it but maybe put the POV of the other track a day or two after the initial run?

    there's a track type I've wanted to see done and it's based off of a hot wheels track I had when I was a kid, the best way I can describe it is tornado
