    This is infinitely more educational than the Discovery Channel or regular television.
    Nick consistently gives superb tours of distant lands that he skillfully sheds insights into that westerners would otherwise never get to see or learn about.
    I firmly believe this is the future of education, decentralized by travelers such as Nick who respectfully interact with locals while simultaneously illuminating fascinating aspects of these beautiful cultures.

      @@yasinjd5164 also known Djibouti was part of Somalila got separated in 19th century by France and know British Somaliland is saying it not happy people of Somaliland what to be separated from Somalila because of war when Somalila had power in 1970 Somaliland and Somalila were 1 not they are in safe place they just want to cut not happening before Europe east Ethiopia,Djibouti,north Kenya and Somaliland know as British Somaliland they were all part of Somalila 1 country these Somaliland people are the children of the true people who knew their history and country so a bunch of Somaliland people will not separate of what is left of Somalila my brothers and sisters thank you.

      It was due to a major problems with counterfited currency in somalia so they just geared everything to electronic payment instead

      Brittany Palmer the Telecommunications services provider companies own those systems. it’s a mobile phone banking system. your money and your simcard are attached. when you deposit sum to your phone number which is also your account number, you have access to your money on your number and do transactions of different sorts including top ups and many more. it’s awesome.

      I'm not joking, Ethios and Somalis have freakish powers of observation, memory. An Ethio youth remembered me from Myspace, 10 years earlier! A Somali man in '17 remembered having seen me @ 'the Somali Starbucks' in a different town -- 15 years earlier! This tells you something about their orientation to the world, to people.

    I don’t know how I found your channel but I’m hooked on it. I started watching your North Korean tour cause I’m so enthralled about that place. But now with this Somoliland it’s amazing .       Leila Musa you will never have the same experience as some white person in Somalia the locals will treat you as they treat themselves for good or bad and you’ll just blend in like any Somalia individual where a white person who you seeking his/her perspective will stand out and will attract different kind of attention. No one cares that you are born in a foreign land, your birthplace will not be writing on your forehead where a white person will be. You shouldn’t even allow another Somali person to experience anything for you let alone a foreigner. Go experience for yourself and make your own independent decision.

      Mowlid Gedi Mogadishu hasn’t seen any attack for the past few months; in other words, the number of attacks have dramatically improved. Somaliland on the other hand can’t control Awdal state and is gonna collapse anytime. Mogadishu is developing very quickly and forces in central and southern somalia have joined sna, This Tribal and poorly structured ‘Government’ of ‘Isaaqland’ will be destroyed and the people of the north somalia will be re liberated from ethiopian puppets.

    Hi Nick, love your Somalia videos. It bring backs some exciting memories of when I worked there in '96, at Galkayo and Garoowe in Puntland Province. It has certainly progressed since then and its good to see that the people are still very hospitable and inquisitive. Its a memorable experience, however I could never get used to eating pasta and camel meat with my hands. Keep up the great videos.
