    Thanks Indigo Traveling for this wonderful and eye-opening video. When I was starting with this video what I thought I would be seeing are ruins, desert, old building, many people wearing traditional arabic clothings, untidy people weary of war, old and few cars, some tanks and war vehicles, guns , and poorly maintained streets and environment. But I was so so surprised to see a very progressive place in this part of Iraq. I'm so impressed with the proofs of wealth: gold, luxury cars, new buildings, good restaurant, well clothed and good looking people. With so much honesty, I can say that I'm so happy for the Kurdish people in this area. May the Lord give me and my family, the opportunity to visit this place someday. I hope and I pray that this territory will remain peaceful and affluent; and that other Kurdish people will be joining them, and they get their other ancestral lands from countries that annexed those lands. May the Lord continue to bless the Kurdish people, and may the Lord bring spiritual revival and salvation to this land.

As a tourist I wasn't part of the friction between Kurds and Turks, nor was I fully aware of it, and I'm sure still am not. I met some Kurds who explained the oppression they experienced in Turkey, such as not being allowed to speak Kurdish. It is nice to see that they have an autonomous area doing well. @olehomer1988 This is a ridiculous fox news, uneducated comment. Islam gave the middle east everything. Middle easterners practically created science which led to the modern science you read about today. My friend, the modern western world owes it's due to Christianity (your modern world) just like Middle easts golden age is owed to Islam. This is one of the most ridiculous comments I've read on here in a long time.

    It kind of sounds like Kurdistan-Iraq is a bit like Catalonia in Spain. Would that be a correct analogy?

    • @rose24244
      @rose24244 5 лет назад +3

      Marilyn Duke not really due to the fact catalonia is much smaller and Kurdistan spreads over many countries and was once its own and it has separate language and other stuff

      Ramyar Rwandzy even if kurds receive their own country (wich i doubt). It will never be independent. They don't produce anything and it will be a landlocked country. What are you going to do about this? Force their neighbors to take care of them? If you want to give these nomads their own country them give them part of your country and take care of them yourself.

    as an iraqi with some experience with tourists we treat foreigners much better than we treat our own people
    cause iraqi people are famous with being generous to people who seem different
    especially in (anbar) they treat you so well if you come from another city
