Sal DiMarchese Islam is not fucked up man. Extremists and people who twist words to favor their own belief systems are fucked up. You act as if people in Afghanistan want to live their lives like this...it’s sad to hold hatred in your heart. Especially when life is already short as it is...hoping for global peace in my lifetime (probably won’t happen) but it doesn’t hurt to dream! Much love to every race, we are one! (Ps. Every single country has its “THUGS” sadly)

I remember reading about Kabul being a backpacker hub on the Magic Bus hippie trail in the '60s and '70s . Wild how now, not so much time later, there are hardly any travelers able to go. Thanks so much for sharing this.
In the 70s I had a friend who was kidnapped off a bus traveling overland. Swedes and Germans were kidnapped and government workers they were taken to the mountains .The government workers were shot dead. And the Europeans waited to see if they would be shot. Eventually they were released and sent across the border,
Sad. Such a beautiful country with rich history got ruined by mindless war & conflict. But Afghan people are beautiful, warm & brave. Thank you for your awesome work Nick 👍
@Spoony G there has been conflict and war on and off for thousands of years in the middle east... yeah in certain places you wouldn't necessarily be as bothered or in danger, but the middle east has always been heavily in conflict, it's just gotten worse every century.

Well done. I went many many years ago. Herat was lovely. Kandahar was like a garden. Kabul was cold in April. Lovely people. You did such a great job to show the good side. Used to be full of cafes guesthouses and wonderful wooden buildings. Travelers those days rated A as the best place on the way to India.
Oh yes. There were no Russians but lots of colourful Uzbeki and a Russian feel to Kabul. I was studying Farsi so it helped a lot in A. Oh. The music was sublime.

Kabul was called the “Asian paris” in the 60s and 70s. Modern society with Afghan people wearing regular clothes, a lot of tourists and a nice holiday destination. 1978 a communist party took over inflating more series of radical modernisation, one of them being more equal rights to women. Unfortunately the Mujahideen (talibans) started growing and soon they wanted the country to follow more Islamic rules and radical way of living. That caused a civil war between the Republic of Afghanistan and the Mujahideen which led to 500k to 2m people dying. If I’m missing something please let me know, I’m not so quite sure about the Russians part of this conflict
The mujahedeen were a reaction to the russian oppressors. Country folk were upset with the russians and wanted them out, so the disgusting mujahedeen took advantage of the country folk. Then the disgusting pashtuns/mujahedeen/taliban completely destroyed afghanistan.
my understanding is that: officially, most of the war soviet troops were a volunteer special contingent assistance force... under command & of working alongside of 'local' forces. the army soviet supported president (who overtook government in a USSR resident-informant staged coupe) how many soviet people were involved in this early stage is unclear, but the regular army units clandestinely based on Afghan soil, rapidly grew. the same government was to a much lesser degree supported by India. As a counterweight to these actions, the US through and alongside Pakistan covertly helped support the local tribal leaders, who joined in a horse-riding, mobile, resistance group to become known as the Mujaheddin, which later sub-divided into a loose network of highwaymen warlords, and an organised hardliner Muslim group who had the support of the rural population, the council of elders they formed became known as the Taliban (or disciples), whilst the first group, along with some who had supported the old government, became the Northern-Alliance

Sal DiMarchese this is not islam at all watch what you say
Sal DiMarchese Islam is not fucked up man. Extremists and people who twist words to favor their own belief systems are fucked up. You act as if people in Afghanistan want to live their lives like this...it’s sad to hold hatred in your heart. Especially when life is already short as it is...hoping for global peace in my lifetime (probably won’t happen) but it doesn’t hurt to dream! Much love to every race, we are one! (Ps. Every single country has its “THUGS” sadly)

We live with our grand parents all together as a family...... Finally what's with the girl skating and Islam 😂😂.... Westerners😂😂
@Soccer90 Tem skateboarding is new to Afghanistan but there has always been things like this in place but in secrecy because of Taliban. There are a lot of underground martial arts for women here.

Eventually they were released and sent across the border,

one of your best videos and with many happy messages that we understand the world peace servers that we were lucky to be around
@@AA-no1wr dont disrespect Pashtun people. you cant blame everything on a whole ethnic background
my understanding is that:
officially, most of the war soviet troops were a volunteer special contingent assistance force... under command & of working alongside of 'local' forces. the army soviet supported president (who overtook government in a USSR resident-informant staged coupe) how many soviet people were involved in this early stage is unclear, but the regular army units clandestinely based on Afghan soil, rapidly grew. the same government was to a much lesser degree supported by India.

Thank you Gaeme. Appreciate it a lot.

سلام به روی ماهت عزیز برادر
Once again you show me places I would never go myself! Stretching my horizons
Cheers Mike, thanks for watching the videos :)
@@slangingiron4016 same, all these People in the comments forget about the real situation there. Wich is a very tragic one.
criticalhard yeah for sure. Don’t get me wrong there’s definitely decent people in any country you go, but %99 of the Middle East HATES US. Their own Quran scriptures say kill the unbelievers. Why the Fuck would you go there.
Militant Mind State please give proof of this nonsense, it’s highly sinful to even harm an animal so how do you think it’s ok for Muslims men to lay hands on women. Stop basing your facts off Fox News and the internet, grow some balls, go to your local mosque, ask for an English translation, and read it if you really believe the fastest growing and second largest religion in the world is all about violence and mistreating non believers. If you really believe Islam is about violence, don’t you think 3 billion Muslims would’ve killed your dumbass by now? Or we trying to create some secret diabolical plan. All this talking about a religion when you probably haven’t even met one Muslim.
Great work Nick! There is so much history in Afghanistan. It was great to see the children playing despite their environment...hopefully in the future their generation will find peace and joy.
Miss my sweet homeland😕. Thank you for showing the hidden face of Afghanistan .I Love your vedios keep making them. Much respect from USA ❤️❤️🇦🇫🇺🇸
🇦🇫✌️❤️😍
Long live Afghanistan
From Iran 🇮🇷❤️🇦🇫
Hey Nick, I’m watching your vlogs since you were in my country. Your vlogs are nice, your beard looking good. Have a nice trip ✈️
Thank you very much for the support!
Nick! There are 2 most important things what one person can give to an other one: love and knowledge. I can not be grateful enough to you, because you show us the world. You are not controlled by media, politics or money. Because of you, I became much more open minded. I know a lot more about planet, where we live. You are humble and objective. I can not recall any news, film from my memory, where I have seen this face of Afghanistan. Only the war. what is sad, but this country is a lot more. Kind people, history, love etc. So thank you so much, I know your job is exhausting and very often dangerous, but we need you :) Thank you, I wish you all the best! Love
When I watched This video This made me cry love from pak ❤️
Make sure you visit Panjsher in Afghanistan, it’s the most peaceful and beautiful city in Afghanistan.

He is vegan. Can’t have dairy
The closest thing to a "fair" representation of anything I've seen in years. A breath of fresh air from Afghanistan of all places. This indigo traveler guy, I like this guy. Good guy.
Love Respect From India To Afghanistan..
We Love Afghanistan ...❤️👏🏻
The places you travel to scare the hell out of me for your safety. Yet the moments of reality and humanity in some of these places actually almost, and sometimes does, bring a tear to my eye. Thank you so much for these videos!
Thank you.
_Thank you for sharing your experience in Afghanistan.I can see the kindness through their eyes.,which make my heart 💔Peace and love to afghani ppl. Cheers from Kazakhstan_
Thank you for all that you do! Never would have known that this other world even existed in Afghanistan without these videos.
Appreciate it Ray :)
All I have is love for Afghan people and respect for you to share such beautiful video 🙏.
I thought Afghanistan would be torn into pieces, but it´s quite beautiful there...
Amazing! I can’t get enough!! Love 💕 your videos. Plus, in two hours you changed my mind, belief system or what I was told to believe. YOU!!, in just two hours worth of videos undid what our own government has worked so hard to corrupt our minds with, nothing but negativity., I now would absolutely LOVE 💕 to visit and experience this gorgeous and stunning country. Thank you Nick for opening up my eyes, mind, and heart. I’m genuinely eternally grateful for this wealth of information and can’t wait to share it with others. Peace out. Keep your videos coming!!
Thank you Wendy! That’s incredible. I hope to get some new videos out in coming months.
Indigo Traveller I cannot wait!! I’m actually watching another now, getting ready to dig into Pakistan 🇵🇰
These videos are amazing. Love seeing a different side of hot spot areas in the world. He should try inner city Chicago next.
Chicago sounds fascinating.
@@IndigoTraveller if you ever came to the US, try Baltimore. Great city that needs some love.
I agree in the try Chicago Detroit Baltimore Gray or New Orleans before going to New York City or after

Should have said hi ❤ make us Afghans look good❤🇦🇫💪
Nick, your channel is educating us on the other side of Afghanistan, which we would not otherwise, see and know about. Continue the good work! I cannot get enough of the Indigo Traveller.
A question i ask myself daily while tears dropping down my eyes, will there be a time when we will have a peaceful world? no wars, no discrimination, no conflicts just people living peacefully with one another. This will be the happiest days of our lives.Hoping and praying for that daily, really happy Nick you are a great ambassador championing towards that.
Thank you for the comment, the world is filled with great people and majority of the world and people's situations are positive, we just have a distorted view of reality because we take in too much information at all times from sometimes, one-sided sources.
@@IndigoTravellerwelcome, indeed and that is why we really appreciate people like you showing us both sides of the story keep up with the good work mate.
You have to remember that this war is about the differences in their religion when they stop caring about that then maybe something positive will happen
@@gi4dtv I'm not well informed about Afghanistan but i think it's a Muslim country, I think the wars are tribal.
Sadly governments, media, and corporations thrive on conflicts and fear. Nicks channel amongst others help defeat stereotypes but the world is crazy.
My favourite youtuber, love the content and seeing stuff we wouldnt normally see in the media. Stay safe!
Thank you for sharing this awesome video❤
Thanks for watching :)
Proud to see my Afghan brothers and sisters trying to make the best of life despite all these years of war and hardship. Much respect en love from an iranian brother living in the Netherlands. Moafagh bashid!
Skateboarding is not a crime... Nice to see you´re doing well. Thanks for sharing a part of your impressions!
Cheers my friend for the long time support!
I really enjoy your videos. They give an entirely different perspective of the countries you visit, it’s people and your interactions with them. I would prefer to watch your videos over what we are being feed by the news media.
Have a safe Journy.
Love my country Afghanistan
Wow such a wonderful journey, Keep it up man! You're doing great. World travelling is not just travelling its about spreading love and connect to the world... That is one of my dreams.

Thanks so much 😍
I love the way he shows everything it looks so beautiful i am from Afghanistan but i don’t live there i wish one day everything gets better so i can live in my mother land country thank you so much for visiting Afghanistan.
We might have seen the future of Afghanistan sports! I wish to see the girl soon on international competetions... :)
*Thank you so much for making vedio from Afghanistan 🇦🇫🇦🇫*
He really went to London
One of my best friends is from Afghanistan (I'm American). He recently visited Afghanistan and took a lot of pictures and video.
This video is very accurate. There IS everyday life in Afghanistan. There are markets and people have hobbies and friends and jobs and live life despite the unstable atmosphere. It's not what most people would expect.
A Japanese doctor among 6 killed in Afghanistan attack.
Unfortunately. Afghan people held a big ceremony in and outside of Afghanistan for it. Truly tragic that we lost such a kind, intelligent and selfless man. Us Afghan will forever keep him in our thoughts. His name was Dr. Nakamura.
Nick Gur ignorant comment ! Not all Pashtuns are terrorist and “want to kill all good people” if u don’t know what ur talking about I suggest u don’t speak at all
Arian is an amazing translator!! Thanks for showing inside of Afghanistan!!
Thank you for SHOWING us the real Afghanistan ,than what main steam media shows !!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
This isn't the real Afghanistan.
Thomas Sutton
Shut up no one cares
Afcorse media always wash brain
I've seen the real Afghanistan.
I personally love going to shops that have been running for decades, you can always catch a glimpse of the culture of that place. Great video man, really enjoyed it :)
You're the luckiest person ever, not to be negative here but, you clearly are. Nothing bad happened while you where there, but I hope not everyone thinks this place is "safe" like you and put their lives in danger, not everyone has the same luck.
Djura Rodríguez Boss if we start living the way you are thinking then anything can happen any where no matter Kabul or London...! Every where is safe if we stop following news channels and avoid hating another human beings..!
I am from Afghanistan, love you all guys thanks a lot to show my country to the world thanks alot love you
i am binge watching you videos and man youre an angel bro. these visits are amazing and has taught the world and I a lot. thank you
Nick, Ambassador to the world!! Thanks for sharing a different side, the skate park could be any town USA. So cool. So cool.
