Love this list! Something I won’t be purchasing in 2023: the grab and go single drinks from grocery stores/shops. They are usually $2-4, which is so expensive for what you get. They are almost always packed full of sugar too. I wont let myself fall victim to the allure of trying the new flavors, teas, and soft drinks. Instead, I have saved a few glass drink bottles from previous purchases of these and I will fill them with tea and other drinks I already have at home to grab and go!
I LOVE Tru Earth Laundry strips too. I would never go back to powders, liquid or pod detergents. I also have a subscription with them and keep the Fresh Linen scented strips in an old David’s Tea tin. Besides the no mess, less space aspect, I love the fact there is no plastic and it’s safe for our septic system.
**Note: while I'm basing many of these on an end of year eval for 2022, most of the things on this list have been ongoing annual purchases/upgrades/swaps for MULTIPLE years (if I pulled my purchases up for 2021, 2020, 2019, etc. it would likely look similar). Also, the only thing that was gifted was the luggage- the rest was all me. I'm not sure that you can really say "I'm not buying anymore of this..." if you weren't buying it in the first place. So, these are things that I'm committing to love what I have currently and not continue the updating/swapping trend.
I will be using Earth Breeze sheets when I run out of the Tide pods. For me, paper towels, loofahs, holiday decor and new t shirts. 2023 will be a good year for me to start saving a lot of money. Nice video, cheers!
This feels more like a list of things I own and I’m committing to love… with the exception of the curling iron, it seems to be a list of things you already purchased
True. But due to trends for new models of products we already have it, can be hard to not buy more new stuff of what we already have. I think that's the message because we can always think we need more pillows, bedding, art supplies, etc
Yeah, a lot of these things weren't necessarily ONLY purchased in 2022 but have been ongoing adjustments- lighting, pillows, renovations, etc. I think many of the things we buy aren't treated as one time purchases and we end up going back and forth with new purchases the following year, etc.
I agree with some things, but I had nine guests 2 weeks ago. I bought yard sale lamps and 2 new pillows. Plus another air bed. I now have 4. Five of the 9 were not co-sleepers, so they needed their own bed. Lots of fun.
Nice video. I just came across Mono last night when researching luggage because I'm planning to do a lot of traveling in the new year. Caraway cookware is also on my wish list for pots & pans.
Would love to see art tutorial videos that are kid friendly :) my daughter is 7 years old. We bought a ton of art items to find she is mostly into painting so we minimized the other art stuff and focus on waterpaint and canvas painting.
Lol 😆 I wish I could say the same about renovations. We bought our home 3 years ago which was a fixer upper for the purpose to fix up and sell for profit. Yet, our next home my husband said can not be a fixer upper. I don't blame him I'm pretty over it all too. I still want to try the straps. I am over liquid we switched back to liquid from homemade because I crave the smell of baby soap but after the baby comes and I get over having to have a specific smell I will be going back to homemade powder unless I like the strips as I do plan to try them out soon.
Ha ha. Omg. DIY Reno. I need to move Bcuz this crazy old house the Reno seems to be never ending. Well I plan to move but while I’m here I really want to not hate living in it as much as possible. I really look forward to having a “tightly” well constructed little home that is not constantly needing to be fixed or upgraded. As the saying goes if you use quality and do the job well, it doesn’t need a lot done to it in the future for a long time. Right now tho, unfortunately, that is not the case in this house at present. So you know I’m just over here trying to squeeze a bit of lemonade out of all these lemons for now. At least I’m discovering a few talents I have that I wasn’t previously aware of. Lol. I’m looking to update laundry tho. Last time I went for a super small bottle of “concentrated” which looks like a smallish bottle of dish soap. I don’t even think the soap matters that much anyways. The real magic for me is a bit of bleach or peroxide in the load which deals wonderfully with dullness in whites and many stains. 😬
@@MiaDanielle Ha ha. Ugh. Also trying to work around it while you’re living in it. Ugh. Cant wait to not have these problems anymore. I often joke about how I’m just over here “camping out.” 😂😂
Is the link for the pillows the same as the sheets or was it a different company? I understand the frustration of a water leak as I am going through the same mess right now. I’ve been in a hotel for a few weeks while they get the water and mold damaged materials out. And I am getting all new flooring because I have continuous hardwood floors so they all had to go, even though the leak was limited to a specific area in my home.
@@MiaDanielle I was mostly referring to all the home improvements etc. We are working our way slowly through basically the same To-do list and it adds up so quickly. Enjoy your hard work and all the finishing touches on the home!
@@MiaDanielle haha I don't blame you! It'll be wonderful to have that chill feeling with the family and new baby without feeling like looking around you is a house reno wish list/to do projects galore

I was really surprised that they work as well as they do. I can't believe they're not all over the stores at this point

"I cant replace the sun" I loved it because I feel the same during autumn/fall ^^

Lovely episode 😄😄
What kind of bed did you buy?
Do you have a refill station nearby? You bring in a container in and refill it.

Thanks for catching the missing feather pillows link: amzn.to/3yxKUcl . I feel for you with the leak situation- that was not fun :/
How do I find out what kind of pillows they are?
Sounds like 2022 was very expensive for you lol!
And 2021! I'm like, no more- it's time to chill
I believe some of what you think was purchased were actually promotionally given. Things are very expensive these days for sure.
