This movie moved me so much. I was mesmerized by Brendon and every single actor in this movie. It was by far the best movie I've seen in 2022. I left that theater wondering what I had done with my life and if it had meaning. It made me think about everything I'd ever done and what people would say if I passed away tomorrow. It was beautifully directed as well. This movie by far deserved way more awards.
I have never watched such a movie that made me cry and have touched my life. Charlie is exactly a real example how others becomes positive and remain on that positive position that people are capable of caring - of being compassionate and kind. This really deserves the accolades.
I just finished watching it for the 2nd time this morning! The movie is the BEST I’ve seen in forever. Bravo everyone! I’m a Frazierhead for life! Brendan is unreal….a true star!
❤I watched this film 3 times, and 3 times I cried hard. Not just shed a tear or two but sobbed my heart out. To move me in such a way each time Brendan Fraser deserves the Oscar and I for one am so happy he won.❤
Easily one of the greatest actors of our generation and of all time, so refreshing seeing someone who meant so much to my childhood back in the spotlight, he deserves the world.
@Brendan FraserWow!!! Never ever a celebrity of your calibre care to respond to mine comment. I thank you. I have been a fan since the early 90s. Oh dear gave away my age😂😂. Good luck Brendan. I hope more great movies to come from you. Maybe The resurrection of the Mummy star Brendan Fraser.👍👍😁.
dude i’m fcking 23 and i love this movie the emotional aspect and just the overall acting had me in my feelings i know what it like to have that animosity towards your parents bc u felt like they’ve broke u but still understand parents were young when they had me idk her crying for daddy did it for me
The fact that he legit looks like a massively obese person, seamlessly, even in the BTS is a testament to how well-crafted and implemented the design of his look was.
Daren Aronofsky always takes such good care of cinematography and set design. I remember how long the behind-the-scenes sequence of Black Swan that dealt with the rooms and locations, e.g. Nina's bedroom.
Oscar very well deserved for his performance. What I can't figure out, is how did Everything Everywhere All at Once, win for best movie? That was a weird movie. Great performances, but just a weird movie.
I'm so glad to see there's someone else who didn't like Everything Everywhere All at Once. I absolutely hated it, and turned it off after 20 minutes. I don't get what the hype is. To me, it's complete trash.
@@FireCracker-vd8pq it seems like there's an unofficial competition online to see who can boast about walking out of EEAAO the quickest. You might be winning so far, lol
The movie was so moving to me, probably because I had phases where I felt like Charlie. Although my heaviest was 300lbs (I lost the weight), I had phases where I’d binge eat and I experienced moments of depression or frustration when I wasn’t eating. Alternatively, I used to be a binge drinker. I used to stay in for days in a row drinking vodka during the day and night and I was in so much mental, emotional and physical pain that I could barely move off the bed and I felt that I was so damaged that it seemed as if there is no positive life on the other side and I could die at any moment. I hated myself, I was ashamed of who I was, I pushed people away, I was lonely, sad and accepted that this is what it all leads to. Metaphorically speaking, in ways, I was Charlie. I’m straight and I never lost anyone. But I guess in my own way, my pain was the death of the man that I used to be.
when you understand that the esaay about mobydick is for his daughter and he has memorized it and wanted to read it every time he thought that he was dying 😭😭💔
I'm watching Charlie's daughter (who I thought maybe possesed by a DEMON), this ignorant child.... I thought to myself, this couldn't be accurate. A child, filled with HATE 👺, cursing almighty God. Then Charlie, this gay-overweight-dying man, who rejects my savior Jesus, to the very end. 👎 The ending was NOT true, NOT happy. Unless he repented in his dying moment, I know where he is now. ❤🔥
That's part of the point. These conditions and ways of life that a large number people find to be disgusting shouldn't retract from one's humanity. The viewer is supposed to learn to feel empathetic towards people from all walks of life, rather than blindly putting the blame on someone for their misfortune.
In what way disgusting? The main character's lifestyle? His weight? If any of these, try not to be so judgmental. Try to see the humanity in others and not just the window dressing surrounding them. No one is perfect. Everyone has baggage...some let theirs overtake them and control their life.
This movie is literally the best picture I've ever seen. I don't think I stopped crying until it was over.
@@jessicahanson7554 I legit cried. I sooo rarely cry while watching a film, but this was a powerful film. So good
Brendan always sounds emotional when he speaks.
Yeah. It bothers me.
Sounds soothing to me
@@judyjetson686 why...?
He’s sincere in all the things he does and that’s part of his lovability
it sounds like he is constantly on the brink of an emotional breakdown
I am so Happy to have Brendan back

This film is a masterpiece! It has touched my sould and heart! I was criying!
I have never ever been so touched by a movie!!! My God Brendan!!!! No words!!!!
Brendan Fraser could easily do voice over work or talk radio. His voice is soothing

he deserved that Oscar for this movie so much!
Just watched it. Cried about a bucketful
This movie made me cry, it's the first time I cry over a damn MOVIE. I just get scared and emotional when seeing someone over-eat themselves.
This movie shook me deeply. It is wonderful and so impressive
Darren Aronofsky has been my Director hero since 1998
Brendan Fraser is 100% the right actor for the role.

Brendan Fraser is a very underrated actor by many i think, he is a major talent though and this performance is just phenomenal.
The scene where he was chocking and Liz had to elbow drop him. I was thinking Macho Man would’ve been jealous of that flying elbow drop.
Profondamente toccante. Magnifico Brendan Fraser!
@Brendan Fraser I remeber you in many movies, but in The Whale you were wonderfull. The emotions in your eyes, very expressive! So beautifull movie..
What an actor bravo
just watched ..... what a great great performance by all especially Brendan.
@Brendan Fraser wow, a treat! I've been a fan forever loved all the Mummy movies Encino man, School Ties, Bedazzled and George of the Jungle.
@Brendan Fraser looking forward to your next movie

best movie😢
Fantastic movie but I never want to watch it again. Very difficult to watch.
I’ve hear many people say it sucked…. I guess I’ll have to watch it myself.
COOL😎
Been trying to find out where the real apartment location is.
It was a very ok movie.
wow
Damn that man looks alot like Steve Jobs.
Like my 600 lb life on TLC, but with a better budget, and love put into it.
It didn't move me emotionally. It felt too melodramatic.
I thought this was a begind he scene
not...
Good movie but the ending was so stupid
Nooe
Shut up fake brendan
A very boring movie. I regret that I wasted two hours of my time on it

It’s killing me how people are still wearing masks on set and taking Covid precautions. We’re moving on from it, people…
The movie was shot at the beginning of the pandemic dude. 2 years ago. Calm down.....
You think movies are made overnight?

This film was shot during the pandemic. It still blows my mind that people are so bothered by masks though lmao.
