🇬🇾Guyanese Fried Karela (Bitter Melon) & Shrimp 🇬🇾

  • In this video you will learn how to make fried karela and shrimp.
    Ingredients:
    1 LB Shrimp
    1/2 TSP Paprika (To season shrimp)
    1 TSP Complete Seasoning (To season shrimp)
    1 LB 3 OZ Karela (After washed and dried)
    1 Cup Tomato
    1 Cup Red Onion
    1 Cup Onion
    1 Cup Roots of Scallion
    3/4 Cup Oil
    1 TBSP Tomato Paste
    1 TSP Complete Seasoning
    1 TSP Adobo
    1/2 TSP Accent
    1/2 TSP Chicken Boullion

    Just one thing, though, is that a plastic spoon you are using , you do know that plastic is not good, especially in heat

    Nice recipe but I've always used fresh tomatoes and I DO NOT squeezed out the Karela juice; I love the bitterness! I also don't use complete seasoning, adobo or bouillon.

    I learned to cook this years ago from a guyanese mom who never used pre-made seasoning, but she also made it without any green seasoning. Is there any way to make this without accent, bouillion, complete seasoning and adobo?

    Ma’am is bitter it Is better , wash your Karelia before you cutting it, I never see nobody wash Karelia thank for sharing ,

    Why don't you squeeze it into the sink instead of over the bowl that you have to squeeze it? Anyways, that makes sense

    You are doing too much you doesn't have to go through that long process to cool kareley
