I've been drinking the bitter lemon with bitter kalleloo leaves and ginger for 5 years now. I drink it on a empty stomach. Your spirit and soul and body separates from each other while drinking🤣🤣. I will try this recipe too. Thank you for sharing.
@@kayemcwilly3856 I was born and raised in Suriname and we have so many different kind of greens. The native Indians from the Amazon had their seeds. The slave came with seeds, all the different immigrants came with their seeds and other groups that came after too so we have a big variety of greens and dishes their.
I juiced some today using ginger, lemon and sea salt and some water. It was delicious no bitterness. Will try with pineapple next! Thank you for this recipe
I just started growing some white bitter melon this year and i actually have my first fruit when i checked my garden today! I chose the white bitter melon because the bitterness is supposed to be more palatable. I will be making this for my hubby and i once i get my first harvest, thanks for the recipe!

I live in Mount Vernon, New York, Have been growing the plant in the summer for about ten years, I use the leaves to boil tea, use it like Cerase, cook the melon with some Calaloo, and other veggies, and some sauce to mask the taste.
Please research it yourself. I don't know why you expect popular RUclipsrs to respond to thousands of comments. Anyways I can answer for you. Bitter melon should be eaten moderately. At least once a week because it can cause diarrhea and abdominal pain if you eat too much. There is even a saying. "Too much of a good thing is bad for you." I don't know exactly how it goes but that's correct.
How much is one serving, how many times a day/week an how long does the bitter melon juice last in the refrigerator? Oh, can people only take a shot (one, two or three ounces)?
How long will this fresh juice keep in the fridge before it turns bad? A guy working in the Indian store said 1 week for bitter melon juice. Is that true?
I've been using Karela Saar for some time now, and I'm impressed by its effectiveness. It's a natural and gentle way to support healthy glucose metabolism, and I've experienced significant improvements in my overall health and vitality since starting it. Thank you, Planet Ayurveda!
While they won’t spoil, it’s best not to store any freshly squeezed juices too long because the nutrients start to break down right away. Ultimately the length of refrigeration depends on how fresh the fruits/veggies are. I try to drink my juices in 1-3 days for the most nutrients. You can also freeze them if need be.
Don't store it. Juice it when u want to drink it. 1 small gourd, 2 stalks celery, 1 green apple and a knob of ginger gives u a glass. Variations include cucumber, pineapple. Use a slow juicer...no straining😁
My grandmother ask me to plant this serassee in her yard she hear it good fi di heart, I have to juice the fruit so it never waste , she didn’t know the herb would make fruit too… I can’t wait till it done growing 😭
Wrong. It is bitter melon. Please do not spread misinformation. What's up with people correcting people with bad info when the person is correct? It's like Soda and pop. They're both not wrong. People just call it differently in other countries. It would be insulting to say a Japanese person is wrong so please stop. Traditionally, BITTER MELON is in Okinawa. They are famous for it.
Stop spreading Christianity. You're just looking for attention. Do you realize nobody likes your comment? Cause it is spam and nobody cares about Jesus in a freaking bitter melon recipe. Go waste your time on something else.

That is an interesting way of putting it. Something sure separates.
Ooh 😮 I want to experience that…I am definitely going to try that.
Never learn of bitter kallaloo b4. Does anyone know where this vegetable might be native of so I can go and search for it.

Bitter melon is very good for diabetes and you can also get the bitter melon tablets as well.
How long will this fresh juice keep in the fridge before it turns bad? A guy working in the Indian store said 1 week for bitter melon juice. Is that true?
Is there a pre diabetic friendly substitute for pineapple to help cut the bitterness?
You can add more cucumber and possibly one or two Granny Smith apple.
@@AuthenticPlantbasedEats thank you luv!
You may be fine with pineapple b/c bitter melon helps decrease blood glucose levels.
Try mint leaves
Does this help with constipation?
Interesting, I never had bitter melon
Is this an everyday juice?? Like can we drink it everyday or is it like once every 2-3 months?
Unless you have some underlying illness where bitter melon is contraindicated, it’s ok to consume this everyday.
Where in Jamaica you get this from?
I’m in the states but you should be able to buy it at your local market in Jamaica.
Seeds are not poisonous, I chew all when I prepare BITTER melons

The pulp has as much or more nutritional value than plain juice...juicing is beneficial but just eat these things
There should be no straining.
