Awesome! This interview brings back SO MANY memories. Please do upload the rest of the Gordon Ramsay interviews with Jonathan Ross. Apparently this isn't Gordon's first interview with him. Could you upload their earliest interviews because I have only heard of them and have NEVER seen them.
Reminds me of the good time's back then . The first time I watched Kitchen Nightmares I hated it but then I realize he respects the food he serves for people . And some restaurants don't
I find watching GR exhausting. He still goes 100 miles an hour. My dad's a chef and he was the same way - trained to work very quickly, they can't switch off.
@@iamasmurf1122 for example, my dad finished eating dinner at the family table before everybody because he's used to eating quickly to get back to work, even when it's his day off or on the weekend. there's a time and a place to be passionate and to turn it down a bit. another example, in an episode of GR's TV shows he learned how to meditate with a monk, but GR couldn't do it as he felt so unproductive sitting "doing nothing".
A former waitress here, divorced from a (now retired) chef (go figure). You are correct! Oh, and the ego too! Maybe we just did everything to quickly!! Hard to slow down after 8 hours of intense physical behaviour!
Poor Gordon! He tried so hard to stay dignified in the face of Jonathan's mickey taking. I never saw this episode on telly, I'd love to have seen the interview with Bear.
American customers are generally on a budget that makes eating out a special occasion, unfortunately that means that they can't afford to be hungry when they leave an expensive meal and will take leftovers with to offset costs the following day. Unfortunately they don't have a social system like the UK.
If it was chewy it might have been a horse used to do labour or racing, because horse meat is generally more tender than beef. Even better than horse is female donkey meat , if you cook it right , pretty rare, and with a mixture of olive oil , garlic, oregano and parsley on top (it s called salmorigghio in sicily) it would be the best piece of meat you will probably ever eat
First time I’ve checked out this show but it occurs to me that it follows the British formula in that the host needs to look like a heavy drinker from Reading and the set needs to look like a Granada set from the seventies.
He's constantly firing questions, without giving Ramsey a chance to answer!! When they called it The Jonathon Ross Show... They weren't fucking kidding.....!!!!
Some of the most memorable food I've had was in New Zealand on Stewart Island, which is the most southern part closest to Antarctica. I ate an unbelievably delicious seafood chowder and a Mutton Bird. What was interesting though is that the setting was like you'd expect of any decent restaurant, yet they were playing Smashing pumpkins. Can't remember the song but it was skipping and would repeat over and over again. It was such a funny memory but I'll never forget that wonderful food
they should bring back Friday night with jonathan ross and keep all stage assets and get a new house band something like a loud and powerful jazz band or a band that can pump up a crowd
FYI, Ramsay's NY restaurant he's talking about here closed down in 2014. Back then, 2007, Gordon was not nearly as popular as he is now, and the locals only new him from his shouty persona on Hell's Kitchen. Ramsay, currently, has no restaurants in NY or California.
@@lconnerz100 Yeah, basically it was his Glasgow restaurant all over again. He opened a restaurant in Glasgow once & it's only holding for 2 & a half years before it's closed. The reason was: too high end & too expensive for the neighbourhood.

haha... I'm Dutch, we sold horsemeat as beef (cow) for a while, also internationally. Well, some ended up as beef (and they were caught by inspections). Anyway, half of Europe probably ate horse without even knowing - because agriculture is a huge Dutch export product and some of the cattle farmers/butchers/distribution chain did get away with it for a while (horse meat is cheaper, because demand is low). We ourselves (the Dutch) eat horsemeat like any other meat, though a lot of people don't like the taste of it (like with rabbit, lamb, fermented herring, etc.). But it isn't frowned upon.
Gordon Ramsey, you can't say horse is huge in France. I've lived here for 32 years and can tell you that it is not! I've never seen it on a menu in a restaurant, and can't remember seeing it in supermarkets. So it is hardly widespread! So huge it is not.
