RBMN 2102 Empty Coal Drag
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 11 июл 2024
- I never thought in my entire lifespan I'd see steam pulling freight as normally we see them pulling excursions these days. Originally people expected 2102 to be tested on the NRFF (a mixed freight from Reading to Pittston) but why do that when you can test her in her natural environment... coal duties. While empty these cars were needed in Tamaqua so they could be loaded at the mines there so 2102 took the cars from Reading to Jim Thorpe to simulate the upcoming Iron Horse Rambles then dropped the cars at Tamaqua and then after spinning at Hawkes got towed home by a power set from Port Clinton. Follow me and Snuggle Bee as we follow 2102 across the Anthracite road as tons of other railfans join the literal convoy following 2102.

Not gonna lie, the diesel locomotives pulling 2102 back home was such a heartwarming shot. Nice work thunder
Thrilled to see 2102 back on track! Beautiful video! I love the intro with Asgore’s theme, it’s so fitting! Keep up the great work!
That was an amazing day!!! Thanks for posting this!!!
And thank you for tagging along!
@@Thunderbolt_1000_Siren no problem anytime!
Such an amazing sight to see!
What a treat this video is! Thanks for posting!
50 hoppers under its own power. After all these years its still got it!
The engine was built for heavy freight especially coal drags, this was her natural environment.
@@Thunderbolt_1000_Siren you can hear the echo as it is coming to the railroad crossing
OMG I have goose bumps i never get tired of seeing these gorgeous old work horses you can never beat the old steam trains beautiful sight.
Wow what a rush. You should see steam trains at full throttle priceless. Absolutely wonderful. It never gets old seeing these old trains and it is so great to see all the grown men watching with the excitement of little kids at seeing this old train out for a ride. Great work. Outstanding.
2102 is Quickly Becoming 1 of my Favorite Steam engines, Behind Big Boy 4014, 3985, 4501, 1225, and many more.
She's a personal favorite of mine and a close 2nd to all time favorite (behind the PRR K4s) Since my area is mostly Ex Reading territory engines much like 2102 practically made my home area possible in the 1st place which is why I hold a very high level of respect for 2102. She's also one of the only steam engines I know of who pulls revenue earning freight (mainly coal drags) on a common basis, Even UP can't do what RBMN has been doing with 2102.
Mine 833, 5300 and Mohawk 3001 but I still enjoy the 2102 especially if she can return home in Philadelphia
@@CrossOfBayonne Nice!
@@Thunderbolt_1000_Siren Wow, yeah UP ain't got nothing on operating a Revenue Freight with a Steam engine on the Daily
A damned good Doc , I hope for more like this ?
Reading T1 2102 is a beautiful 4-8-4 “Northern”. Understanding how it could do. I would like to see this locomotive in Pennsylvania. On going performance. And it’s hooter whistle is pretty cool.
I have a silly question where is this located I know it's in Pennsylvania?
@@captainmack2754 It’s at the Reading & Northern Railroad in Reading, Pennsylvania.
Thanks for the shoutout at the beginning of the video! Much appreciated.
The 2102's horn sounded like an elephant in the distance.
Whistle* and trust me at a distance it is one hell of a haunting sound.
Awesome video of 2102!
Glad I also got to see this one as well
Nice seeing another local watching this awesome display.
That is a heck of a whistle on her!
Oh yeah some 2102 Stuff then Altoona day 3
2102 is a great train u wished I can ride that great locomotive
You can! Still more rambles scheduled this year!
There's 3 more rambles trips and 2102 will also pull fall foliage trips starting in October
I've seen the reading T1 in Scranton
I saw Big Boy 4012 in Scranton
Same
I just got into trains and I don’t know everything yet but I loved watching this
You are gonna have an amazing time in the train community just (stay away from the furries)
@@Kaithelegoguy Lol
I saw the 1st ramble last month. I'll see it again in September.
2102 is about as Philadelphia like American Bandstand, Rocky and Cheesesteaks you can get. Hopefully if it's actually possible she could return to Norristown on excursions like she did back in the 1980s.
I'm local to Pa there is a bunch of places all over that offer steam locomotive rides and they are usually pretty cheep and some run everyday you should check one out
Good job thunderbolt 1000 siren productions
You Should do The Bostian Bridge Accident 131 Years Later. The Accident Took Place In Statesville North Carolina
46:54 like that jab at Greta Thunberg. Reminds me of Amtrak Guy 365's Marysville Railroad video where he called Logan and David "EPA nightmares" to sort of jab at the EPA, as well as his earth day vid. Also just wondering, when you said "hypecritical" do you mean as in she constantly drives/has a very inefficient car or what?
I wanna get an ho scale one
from ''Broadway Limited Imports'' produced reading t1s in ho scale
@@jsgaming3248 I actually have one on layaway (2102 RDG rambles)
@@Thunderbolt_1000_Siren nice 👍
I was in tamaqua on May the fourth be with you.
Lovely town I must say. Navigating through it though with all the traffic is a friggin nightmare
.
Aye, but I saw 4 R&N locomotives there. One still in NS black.
56:24 wait! I think I see Norfolk southern!
Close, It's a former NS SD40-2 number 3069. It still wears its NS black paint but all the logos of NS are patched up, it should receive the same livery the other SD40-2s have sometime in the future.
i would like to see a remake of the big bayou river wreck, same for the craqzy 8's incident and several others, like the early docummentaries
Do a video on memories of British steam
Can you do the metro north derailment documentary?
When is another Train Wreck years later video gonna be uploaded
46:55 facts
Thunderbolt, I couldn’t help but ask why your friend snuggle bee 🐝 was wearing a Norfolk Southern Vest?
She chose to wear it probably just because she wanted to. She unfortunately had it stolen while in Philly where she lives unfortunately so she no longer has it :(
@@Thunderbolt_1000_Siren oh ok 👌 that makes sense at first I was like wait what 🫤. And also that’s shame that she had it stolen 😢
I have a silly question to all. Where is this located I know it's in Pennsylvania sorry for the lap is sorry for the lack of knowledge.
Eastern part of PA near the Poconos. The town names of each spot are provided as well
Hey 1000 siren production image if the us made a locomotive that can do mach 1.7 ( 1,304.36 mph)
What were ya doing commenting on Daeboms video? 🤨
Because I can?
Yo sup
Can you do another engine of SEPTA Kawasaki lrv trolley
MAKE A TRAIN CRASH Video please!
A deal point is used to stop trains but they could actually kill passengers not save people's lives
What state is it?
Pennsylvania.
@@Thunderbolt_1000_Siren I thought the acronym for Pennsylvania was PY, not PA?
@@wenkhieyteh1127 Where on earth did you get that from?
@@Thunderbolt_1000_Siren I googled US state acronyms, and one of the results said it was PY. Sorry if I'm wrong.
Can't read the name of the train on the side of the power. Horrible camera action. Also couldn't read the caption because the color blended into the video. Rate this video as poor. Rate content very good. Try moving the camera a little bit to cover the entire engine. Pick a different color caption to stand out.
