I love my 19 Honda 450r. Love the 2.4 gl IMS on it. Also love the FMF single conversion on it. Sick desert shark. Works good fast. Takes everything.

I've always loved the 2017-2020 CRF450R Twin-Pipe bikes! I was actually looking at getting the 2022 CRF450R, because I bought a brand new left over Italian TM Racing EN300ES (carb version) 2 stroke last year, and now have a big bore 4 stroke itch to scratch! I re-integrated into the offroad motorcycling world back in 2015 after not riding since my early teens, with a 2016 Yamaha YZ250FX, and BOYYYY, was I not ready - even though I owned a 2nd generation Suzuki Hayabusa and a 2007 Suzuki GSXR-600. I was great on a track, but not as great as I thought I was on the various offroad terrains.
Fast forward to 2019 after I sell the Yamaha YZ250FX, and I get a 2020 HusqvarnaTE150i 2 stroke. I sold the Husqvarna last year in 2020, and then bought the TM Racing bike in a special European offroad motorcycle shop in Bellevue, WA which is considered one of the larger up-scale, ritzy, first class municipalitys of Seattle - definitely not a place I could afford to live!
Anywho, went and looked at the new CRF450R and found that they had some 2022 CRF450R-S in stock for $8,599.99, which is the coveted 2020 CRF450R I have loved since I first laid eyes on one! Call me crazy, but I'm going to buy that CRF450R-S over the normal single pipe, 2022 CRF450R! I ALWAYS wanted to be behind a built Honda twin pipe engine, and now ample amounts of knowledge and parts are available for the 19-20 Honda CRF450R!!! So I TOTALLY GET why you LOVE that machine!!! I want to get the Pro Circuit engine package later but may end up with the Akropovic pipes though. The port & polish, cams, titanium valves, high compression racing piston, valve springs will all be Pro Circuit. Technical Touch USA has A-kit KYB forks & shock for the 17-20 bike, but not the 2021+. Also XPR or Teisted Development have some nice Honda Vortex ECUs with special mapping. Then I'll save up for FCP engine mounts, Trail Tech Voyager Pro GPS, Luxon triple clamps & adjustable billet linkage arms, Raptor Titanium Footpegs, Ride Engineering SHOWA Sterring Stabilizer, 220 watt stator, Hinson clutch system with momentum clutch basket, and Honda Red Moto USA Professional Lighting Kits and engine cooling components & accessories! Been thinking about this build since 2017 when these bikes were introduced and slowly chose what I needed or wanted for this machine. I'm more stoked on this than my TM, and it's because we rode Honda & Suzuki 2 strokes as children in my family! My Dad still only buys Honda to this day, and has Honda ATVs, UTVs, and dirt bikes on his little farm in NC...there are literally no other machine manufacturers located on his property besides his two air-conditioned tractors. lol I can't stop talking about these Hondas, dude. They make me happy! Hold onto your twin pipe, even if you buy the new one because pretty much ALL manufacturers will stop producing offroad motorcycles with internal combustion engines (both 2 & 4 stroke) in the year 2035! Almost 10 years away, meaning we are at the end of evolution for I.C.E dirt bikes, and will be moving to electric real soon.

I don’t think it was the front tire, every time I ride with a new nitro in the front I feel the same thing. You have to break them for like 2 rides

Very good review, i race a 17 crf 450rx and all those point are true, super stiff hits to hard at slow speed at first, i did find the pro circuit exhaust did help with less stalling at super low speed tight single track aswell, i found taking the middle exhaust hangar bolts out loosened the chassis a bit aswell,
