What a great song! It fits me right down to my bones. Really speaks to me. I have always been a very solitary, independent person who prefers my own company to being with anyone else. But then, I met my girlfriend on a blind date that a coworker talked me into going to and now I have added her to my very short list of people I love to be with. We've become part of each other and I can't imagine life without her now.
You see - Those are good singers. Not because they know how to sing, but because they know how to act. They can actually convince me they mean what they say, not like other modern singers. Love this.
They also actually have something of substance to say. Most modern singers are what I call "dumb ducks". They just keep quacking the same line over and over again while wiggling their tail and duck-facing in front of a camera. The proclaimers are not like that... although I would love to see them do a parody!
