I've done car audio professionally for nearly 30 years and finally did a complete NVX system recently in my wife's Altima, including one of these amps at 1.33 ohms on (3) NVX single 4 ohm 10" subwoofers, the 600.4 version of this product line on a component set up front and 6x9's in the rear deck. I ran OFC 0AWG wire and a slick overall install and custom enclosure. The little amp makes plenty power for the 10's, but the issue isn't power. There's just not enough thermal mass in the heatsink for the thing to get rid of heat. It will go into thermal protection after 4-6 minutes of use. It always comes out of protect, but I digress. I would recommend this amp when space absolutely requires something small, otherwise the amp is relatively happy at 2 ohms. Below that, stay away.
@@RubenRodriguez-jb1tg thanks Ruben! I like checking out the frequency response. Something new I’ve been doing. I’m sure I won’t do it all the time though.
Just bought their 5 channel for my sxs 500 watt on the sub channel and def does better than the mtx that came in the unit, I had slept on em for sure, gonna check your site out your local would be happy to be from someone local
Thanks for the shout out! Looking forward to trying my new Amp out. Fit and finish is real nice. I have a Slapz Audio full bridge 8k I'd send you if your setup can handle it. I have only clamped 4500w out of it.
Wow that thing is stout!! My only worry though with that much power in such a little place and no room to dissipate the heat, will it run hot after extended use? Thanks for the videos!!
I have the NVX NDA1500 running 1000w to a 2ohm sub. My only gripe is I wish there was a high/low input voltage switch. .02 up to 10v is a big range so I have to turn up the sub gain in radio to get good voltage preamp.
I had a really bad experience with NVX when I was building my grandsons Honda audio build. I sent the NVX amp back and replaced it with the Harmony that currently pushes his sub. I won't and can't do business with them again. Customer service was a joke. I had to fight them for over a month for them to make good on the warranty.
Nvx left a bad taste in my mouth with my first purchase. I bought the xdsp28 though amazon and the level knob was jumpy to a point the knob was not useable. Asked for a replacement though amazon but since it came direct from nvx i had to deal direct with them. After a sting of emails asking for a replacement they wanted me to send it back so they could test it before replacing it. I dont use the level knob anyways so i gave up and kept it but will not buy anything else .
NVX prices are why you shy away brother, $160 to $200 range is hard to justify, for 1200 watts and minimal features. Now, knowing it is capable of 1600 watts on music justifies the cost some, but there is still better options.
That would only apply to people who choose amplifiers based on a price to power ratio. Hopefully people realize there are more important things to base a buying decision on.
Cheapest doesn’t mean the better option. Maybe for you and no offense but not everyone wants the cheapest. This amp would probably be more reliable than most of them cheaper amps.
I knew these NDA models were some decent amps. There not the cheapest amp out there but I would put money on it they are more reliable then them cheaper amps. I have the 600.4 in the wife’s suv and now probably going to put a sub amp in there.
Great video 👍; that little guy is doing it. LoL. Your definitely right about it taxing the average OEM electrical system with max output current draw. It would need a capacitor to maintain voltage at the amp, especially if fed with awg 4 copper power wire. Awg 0 would hold the voltage with the current if the electrical was up to the task. A single 15" dual 2 ohm impedance voice coil subwoofer with good size voice coil and motor assembly in a slightly oversize sealed small box encosure would be a great use with this amp. I too have not had experience with this brand product, but I like what I see as well. Good product and great video; nice beefy transformers on the internal portion of the video. NVX is going to make a respectable name for its products. I wonder about their subwoofers. Lol. 73 GOD bless Earnest K5EWM 👍.

Man, your videos are awesome. Really Dig the frequency response shown for what these are actually made for. Nice touch.

I run a lot of nvx. My advice is, wait on sales. They always go on and off sale. Great products, in my opinion
I’ll keep a lookout because I wanna try some more of their amps. Thanks!

Thanks, man! I would love to see what that beast can do! Shoot me an email to stereomojo@yahoo.com
Size Reminds me of the Toro MR2 micro amplifier. But those RMS numbers on this NVX is impressive 👏 ❤
I agree!
good dyno run, I always enjoy your vids
Finally got a good amp on there for a Dyno !
I had the 750.1 2ohm mono amp. It was great for 2 cvr 12s. I think its their best looking amp also.
I’ll have to check out that model, thanks!
I will definitely be picking up the 2k amp on your website. Fantastic price fornan amp i know is gonna be good quality.
Yes Sir! Thank you!
With the subsonic filter at 55hz and the lpf at 50hz, would that basically cancel all frequencies, would anything be audible?
I’ve heard good things about them. Zero experience tho. I like the look of them tho.
Wow that thing is stout!! My only worry though with that much power in such a little place and no room to dissipate the heat, will it run hot after extended use? Thanks for the videos!!
Yeah, someone that has one commented today that his goes into protect because it gets too hot
@@stereomojo Yeah that's what I was kinda figuring in my mind anyways. Thanks!

Nice numbers enjoyed the dyno
That is really sharp looking.
Small amps are more practical, but I still prefer big, honking surf board amps. Lol
lol, there’s just something cool about a big ol’ amp!
I had the XAD11 and it was a ok amp but the lpf filter wasn't very good I sent it back twice both amps had the same issues
Hmmm, thanks for the input!

Oh no! That sucks!
i love NVX subs and amps, i actually use a 15inch XCW151 x series dual 1 ohm and it hit so dang hard , always loved NVX
I’m gonna try more of them!
That's crazy the power and current draw for tiny amp...wow
They’re getting more powerful and smaller all the time!
I’ve been monitoring these amps a while now but I really wanna know if the 4 and 5 channels play clean.
It would be cool to put one on the oscilloscope and DD1
@ @nvx let's make it happen

You’re the 2nd person with a similar comment today. That sucks!
Try that 13.5 you will be impressed
That is small what are the dimensions ?
I didn’t measure it, but you can see the dimensions on the box when I flip it over in the video.
I ant going to lie i got a nvx 13.5 it's a awesome amp test that amp out you will be impressed
I’ll have to look it up!
I cant get the website to pull up?
Was you ever able to get it to work?

Their full bridges are some of the cheapest. I'm running a 5k on 2 pioneer premiers wired at .5 ohm with no problem.
Also, on Sonicelectronix website there is usually a 10% discount that isn't on amazon

@stereomojo no it just takes a while then .page not found
@ well dang! It works for me and someone bought an amp from there today, so I know that isn’t the case for everyone. Thanks for trying!
@ see if it works this way welshaudio.com
Take it to point eight ohm.
Like you I’ve slept on NVX for a wow. I might have to rethink that. Good review

I prefer ch myself

@ JL Welch. We’ve talked about it before.

I see off-brand el cheapo caps. They can keep that garbage.
