The lesser interviewed 311 members. Tim and SA are usually so quiet, but they're so cool and fun in this interview. It's a shame they don't do this more often. I love the mid 90s vibe in this video, too!

What the fuck is wrong with SA? Haha. Love this old stuff, especially considering this band is still going just as strong 20 years later with the same crew and the same fans. No lineup changes, no breakups, no drama, etc. Just continuous great music. How many bands can claim that??? Cheers to the excitable ones!

This is some really cool footage, feels different without Nick & Chad

Definitely a different vibe, since Nick and Chad are usually the ones doing interviews.

IIRC, 311 said they were pretty into the ecstasy around the time leading up to and during the transistor sessions, so besides nerves (and just his personality in the case of SA) that might explain SA's somewhat odd behavior (particularly the touchy feeliness and constant mouth/jaw movements).
I can't remember if it was in the little updates they used to do on their site or in an interview (I want to say it was a Rockline interview they did I used to have taped off the radio where they debuted Freeze Time, Flowing and I think at least one other song before SS came out) they talked about how they don't smoke on the road, the E, and I think either SA or Nick said they had stopped smoking weed altogether at that time but that they had got a bit out of hand around this time and were mellowing out as everyone but p-nut was either turning 30 or already had. I remember p-nut saying he'd save marriage etc "for his 30s" as he was 25ish then. Man time FLEW BY.
