Santa Clara Valley Healthcare SAFE Program Community Awareness Event | Full Press Conference

In response to the increase in incidences of sexual assault, domestic violence, and intimate partner violence in the community, Santa Clara Valley Healthcare (SCVH) is expanding access to medical forensic exams and support through an additional response location at St. Louise Regional Hospital in Gilroy for the SCVMC SAFE Program. SAFE is Santa Clara Valley Healthcare’s Sexual Assault Forensic Exam program for adult and adolescent survivors of sexual assault.
Elected leaders, law enforcement, and healthcare workers were in attendance for this community awareness event.
The program increases local community access to secure, confidential areas for examinations, treatments and evidence collection. The SAFE program is now available at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, Stanford and St. Louise Regional Hospital in Santa Clara County.
