Listen to the 10 minute version. Her vocals are improved & it was actually what she says she originally wrote. I believe you guys would like that one way more!! She played it at SNL & killed it. Also, the music video is very beautiful & since you like hearing the studio version first..it may be the better option!
As a 52 year old woman my awareness of Taylor Swift was peripheral at best. I could not have identified a song if asked but certainly had heard the name and the knew the basics. Then I heard the song "Lover" and I was like "wait, this is Taylor Swift? ". I still think that song is majorly underrated. I got curious and watched a couple of videos and fell into a huge rabbit hole of music. I am now a card carrying Swiftie. She is a brilliant performer there are so many amazing live performances of hers on youtube. Her music videos are also amazing.

At 50, I insist that life is too short to pretend I'm not totally into Taylor Swift and every single thing she does.
You should check out the 10 minute version to this. It’s amazing. Or better yet, check out “All Too Well : The Short Film” is up for an award tomorrow at the VMAs. Taylor Swift actually directed the film. And it’s based on her relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal.
My father is a fan of Taylor. He has all her albums. She has so many fans because she sings about real life issues that she has gone through and other people that she knows that have gone through some really hard trials. She has a really soothing yet dramatic voice. She lowers blood pressure, and one song can make your day better.

She plays several instruments. As everyone else has said, you need to listen to the re-recorded 10-minute version. The scarf in question, Taylor was photographed with it on while walking with Jake Gyllenhaal, after they were no longer together, was photographed wearing that same scarf. The scarf in question was actually Navy blue with red and gray stripes, but for the song and now 13 min. mini movie the scarf is red and her album is called Red.

I am happy to say her live vocals have greatly improved over the years…but even the early days you gotta respect that she actually sang LIVE instead of taking the lip sync route…this one has always been one of my favorites and i agree with everyone else the 10 minute song and accompanying video is pretty epic….and other great song of hers you should check out is Enchanted from her Speak Now album…another one of my favorites…
Taylor Swift is from the same city in PA that I’m from although there’s a big age difference between her and I, Taylor is a great songwriter
One of the best songs of all time, this was the song that put Taylor at the level of the greatest like Queen, The Beatles, MJ, etc.

Watching this very live version of Taylor Swift’s All Too Well at the Grammy awards that night is the night I became a Taylor Swift fan.
Prior to that I thought of her as a popular country singer. But from that day forward, her music has been a big part of my life. I was so impressed by her performance And the incredible visual aspect of that song. It continues to be her magnum opus.
This is a perfectly written song. Goes straight to heart of the moments. Respect for that chics writing.

Listening to this vs her performing it live now shows how hard she has worked on perfecting her vocals. She sounds great here, but her vocals today are literally perfection. It's rare to hear a flat or shaky vocal.

ok Not the biggest Taylor fan but I can say she writes very well and has a bunch of catchy tunes. Dont get me wrong not trying to put her down just not my cup of tea. I do like a few of her songs and I know she is relatable to the younger girls which is great, so much success to her. There is a song that id like for y'all to listen to. It's by the Del Vikings from the 50s and it's called Come Go with Me. People are not aware of what will be obvious when you see the groups picture unless you were around that time. Some people are really shocked when they see it. There were several groups like this back in the 50s 60s. I like y'all and I think yall really are open minded. Please listen to this song and others from that group.

This was the rehearsal, not the actual performance. The performance is better, iconic. Agreed the 10 min version she released in 2021. There is a lyric video, with her actually singing live in the studio, and there is a SNL performance which was ranked the best SNL performance of the year.

Taylor Swift is a lightweight who should be a meme of how god awful music is today. Compare her compositions to truly great artists, like Carol King, Carly Simon, Joni Mitchell, Stevie Nicks, etc. There music endures while Swift's will be long forgotten. You do know that Carol king loves Taylor right...she chose Taylor to induct her into the rock and roll hall of fame at the induction gala, thanked Taylor for carrying the musical torch and considers Taylor her professional granddaughter.
If you think Taylor isn´t a great songwriter, you clearly have not listened to her albums at all, especially not Folklore and Evermore.
You can choose not to like her music, but to call the woman who is known globally for her superb songwriting, who is highly respected by the biggest musical institutions and producers in the world of music for her songwriting, has recieved the "songwriter-artist of the decade award from the nashville songwriters association international, and on top of that has won "album of the year" 3 times "lightweight," is just ignorant. She has been in the game for 15 years now and she is just getting better. She ages like fine wine and she is not going anywhere.
