Who's to say God doesn't have a different perception? Maybe God perceives all of mankind as chosen, but tells the Jews they are chosen because of the millenias of persecution. And perhaps they are repaid by God.

But the Rabbi is focusing on the righteous because he knows it is not his place to judge or decide who the unrighteous are. We humans do not know who may or may not repent in due time. Only G-d knows that. Only G-d knows who will go to eternal damnation. This Rabbi knows the book of Daniel you can be sure. To explain the Resurrection any other way would make people fear they may not be doing enough to be considered righteous. Life is much more complex than that, faith and trust and learning who G-d is comes first. Recognizing when we need to repent and receive G-d's loving mercy and forgiveness and loving G-d back is what we need to focus on, for ourself. Hoping and praying for others is important, but we leave the out come to G-d. Yes, we see evil being done in the world and we are promised the evil will be dealt with and tho we hate the evil actions that hurt so many people, we fear for the people doing them and pray for them. Only G-d has the authority to condemn a soul He created.

I want to share about my near-death-experience together with my deceased daughter. It's a NDE story about the way our lives are judged and measured and analyzed by ETERNITY. It's about the strength of forgiveness that can change everything for the better, even on the other side. It's a story of hope and blessings to everyone who is looking for a PROOF OF ETERNITY, and that's the title of my book PROOF OF ETERNITY by Alba Monn. It's a story of hope and blessings to everyone who is mourning about the loss of a loved one, especially for parents who have lost their own children. I came to testify that ETERNITY is a fact, that our loved ones live on on the other side, that they want for us to be comforted and completely consoled by the truth, because the truth will set you free.
Blessings to everyone who reads this!

The question of wether there is life after death makes perfect sense. It basically asks if you as a soul will keep on living and yes you will. That’s what people want to know. God breathed in man the breath of life to give life to the soul in the body. Thus the life and soul are infused as one apart from the body after death. The question makes perfect sense.

Fascinating perspective about the earthy smelling soul going through Hell untill the smell burns off around 17:00. Coming from a Catholic background that's very much like the Church's teaching about purgatory. The souls in purgatory are destined for Heaven, not Hell, but still have attachments to sin. They need to go through a purification which is described as a consuming fire. It's fascinating because purgatory is not a teaching of other Christian denominations. The reason given by the apologists is that the foundation for the teaching is in writings, 2nd Maccabees in particular, that are not included in the Protestant cannon but which Catholics and Jews share in their Bibles.

Emotion comes as a result of how we think , so basically it is a brain fart. But we feel it and it seams to be real, even if it is not. We also have feelings, that express our human needs and those are real and worth to pay attention and have awareness about.
There is nothing sacred (technically untouchable), that people couldn't screw up. But, if we choose to keep some things sacred like family, friendships ... then we will have the way we keep it.

I’m a non-Jew who enjoys Rabbi Friedman’s lectures and I’ve been studying Judaism purely out of self interest. A big question I have is understanding the difference between reincarnation vs resurrection.
It seems most Jews (including Friedman) believe in both. If our souls reincarnate and have many lives, which body resurrects at “end of days” (aharit hayamim)?? The body from the last life? First? Best?
How does the resurrection occur? A cataclysmic flash and appears? Or a rebirth like normal?
What age is our body? Young? Old?
What’s the big difference between being reincarnated vs resurrected? The resurrection details still seem rather vague. Again, I’m just curious and would like to know what most Jews generally think!

In my understanding of Quran, when the soul releases from the body (when someone dies) then he will continues live but with 3 different ways. First, going back to the place near heaven and get rewarded with happy and good life. Second, going to the place where he stays there with sad & regret feeling because of what he had done in his life until judgement day; and Third, going to a place where he neither happy or sad feeling, sleep there until judgement day.

So I interpret this, as we get older we get more decayed because our soul struggles with the beauty of holiness. And on our journey on this earth we just pick up whether we want to or not the decay. Probably one of the best ways to keep our soul and more perfection is to say the morning and evening prayers. And to keep our mind on HaShem is to try to say are hundred blessings every day. It’s a way of keeping our soul from becoming tainted by this earthly realm. I really do appreciate these thoughts. Toda Raba

Hi there just wondering if someone could answer this question for me.
God already knows our destiny I. E the different choices that we are going to make. It was announced before conception.
Why doesn't God just let those people who are going fulfill His Will live?
And those that detract from His Will not even be born?
Surely He would achieve His Will or goals within the shortest time possible.

The Lord knows us before life here, only He does know those who will or will not choose Him, but He is giving us ALL the possibility while on earth to CHOOSE, as He wants our LOVE freely. If we STILL do not want Him, after this life he does need to judge us and it would depend on the faith shown. We are not puppets and He does not want puppets. So He is giving us this opportunity, some He knows will help lead those who have trouble and fell like the angels with Satan fell or was kicked out of heaven via Michael the Archangel. Those angels are around us still whispering in our ears and trying hard to make us ALL fall. This life is a TEST of sorts. We are not put here just to live as puppet and if so why would God put us here? He wants our LOVE FREELY. He wants our 'love' to change us, into be people who are not perfect, but do turn to be like His image. so even those of us who He knew would not turn COULD as Satan is trying to hurt us. Read the book of JOB in the Old Testament. He did nothing wrong and suffered, as God allowed only for Satan to test him 'so long and hard', but not kill him. He passed this test of FAITH, and did not turn no matter what! Then he received all and more back. The horrid test and suffering did not last forever. The way people are fighting and destroying and manipulating or hurting each other ,seems to be our last large test? Evil and good are fighting here on earth. AS IN HEAVEN, SO ON EARTH. Church is ongoing in heaven too. We have choice only because this is our time, to make a big decision. God judges after this time on earth. He will be fair. He sees the heart, we only see the person in the flesh.
