IF JESUS IS GOD, WE ARE GOD
( 1 John 3:2 ) Dear friends, now we are children of God
( John 1 : 12 ) But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name
( Galatians 3 : 26 ) For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus
( Isaiah 43: 6-7 ) bring my sons from far, and my daughters from the ends of the earth; even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.

I wouldn’t say they’re useless. They can be a useful means of networking and finding potentially very good matches for you who you would otherwise never encounter. Places like social media platforms are generally eschewed for the purpose of “dm-ing” someone. It all depends about intentions, boundaries and following proper Islamic methods of engagement.

As a man, you are expected to pursue. I found myself having times where I would contact 10 women and getting no replies. Then others where I'd contact 10 women and get 5 replies.I've had my time wasted and admittedly have wasted others time as well. I am so glad to be off of them.

. I stayed clean and got married to muslim girl. Her parents were strict hindus and practised Hinduism daily until one day the girls mother had a dream and it would reoccur all the time and with each dream it would get slightly clearer. One day she told her husband and he was absolutely shocked becssue he was also having the same dream. They discussed and the dream was that they would find themselves watching something that had a shape and something was wiggling and as the dreams got clearer they would notice that it was a black colour and something was moving around it. As time passed the dream got clearer and it was a lot of something going around a black square until they realised it looked like humans . One day they made friends with a old Muslim man and he would come to their home and sit and talk. He would change the channel and one day he changed the channel an the lady was so shocked she ran to her husband and told him to come and see so they both looked at the TV channel and asked the old muslim man what is this and he explains that its a mulsim place that we go to for pilgrimage and the couple were both so shocked and told thr old man that they have been having reoccurring dream about this exact place for around 10 years or more . They both reverted to islam there and then. Basically they were having dreams of the kaba with people going around it so that is what was moving around the black thing. They had never ever seen that place before or the pilgrimage or anything to do with islam. This was a sign for them and then their daughter reverted too and I married her

Very interesting conversation. Thankyou for bringing it to attention.
I agree very difficult times finding a spouse. Few things to say:
There's a great amount of negativity in this discussion.
Please do not let your experiences with the opposite gender dishearten you, because this will ruin your future. There are good men, women out there.
Please do not compare any situation. Every one will teach you a lesson.
Always work on bettering yourself personally, remain humble and realistic, keep your imaan in check at all times.
Understand people come from vast amount of life experiences and family units. We don't all have excellent walis or excellent family. We come with expectations, responsibilities, connections etc. When searching learn about the person's life and not what they present to you. Ask deeper questions and you will discover depth. If someone is going to ghost you notice the signs from the beginning--the psychology says its likely to be those who present themselves as the perfect catch and ones who aren't even sure about themselves so why would they be sure of you.
As for the wali thing, its not about women not bringing someone to monitor, sometimes its a family matter issue ie. Parents and the child haven't really spoken about how to go about finding a spouse and have their involvement. Some parents don't want to be involved because they don't want to be held responsible for it going wrong. It's more of a culture thing than religious when looking at it practically. However the point about having someone to monitor conversations it's brilliant it will make the sifting quicker and safer.
Also do remember to do istikhara sooner rather than later.
May Allah help all trying to find a spouse and allow them to be the coolness of our eyes ameen

I also think there's many cultural barriers and personality barriers that haven't been discussed either. It's important to understand the way people think to help you understand how to overcome challenges together as a couple and understand the 5 love languages eg acts of service, words, gifts. So that you know each other's attributes and strengths. I think you're right, certain Muslim services, sites do pick up on these things too I think. Don't know why it's not mentioned

Asalamuwaleikum. The major problem with Apps is that NO SISTER SHOULD BE ON AN APP WITHOUT HER WALI (this includes a photo with her father/wali and a clear statement that he is on the account) The account should be co-managed/viewed by the father/wali. And there should be no online or "offline" chatting/messaging WITHOUT the wali/father having access. This alone will eliminate most of the fitna (along with the "romance" in the process....)that have nothing to do with this Deen. InshahAllah.

He cannot go and look without his daughters permission (this would be considered spying), so the daughter will need to give her father permission to monitor the conversation. And, as he is her protector and the one who must approve of her husband, why would she not want him to know what this random/non-marham man is saying to his daughter. The father can see things that she cannot see. If the sister is wise, she will invite her father to support her in this manner, inshaAllah.

Keep asking in your salaah and duaa to get to this point and beyond in your journey. Surely that should be the basic and main thing about being a muslim. So not surprised if people are looking to commit zinah on there. Unfortunatly alot of the men through my experience aren't willing to do things the right way on there. They wanna meet you before marrying you even though they talk to you over text and have seen ur pictures and adit that ur mindset is perfect and they are attracted to you but still wanna see you once in person before sending a rishta. Saying don't go searching is cheapshot. Then I hear Imam saying to be successful, you need to have a plan. I feel there is so much discrepancy and not much progress is being seen.
You need to focus on finding a faithful spouse but if you focus too long and still unmarried at 45 saying its destiny, then people will say you didn't have result because you don't have faith in Allah. Results matter. Results are application of theory.

With all due respect my sister, one shouldn't be in such apps in the first place. He or she should try to find their spouse through the help of parents, guardians, relatives etc.
Pictures or online chat, even without makeup can be misleading. Because some people have better camera-face while some appear less pleasant looking than they actually are. So the correct way is for them to meet face-to-face and of course without any makeup.
It isn't necessary for a woman to know about her suitor's savings or credit score. What her father should inquire about is his job position and monthly earnings. If it is well enough to pay for the necessities according to the social standard of the girl, that's enough.
It's better for a man instead of directly asking, "do you cook", to ask "are you capable of managing the kitchen and the house". It sounds more beautiful and covers all the basic responsibilities of a wife.

@sarahkareem1251 thanks Sarah. My comment is irrespective of the medium. Apparently, that's a question frequently guys ask when they meet a girl irrespective of how he met her. Of course, you are entitled to your opinion. I, too, believed so, but not anymore. Neither you and I have the complete perspective, wisdom and definitly the authority to say what should ir shouldn't do, especially if they are doing it in the halal respectable way which only God is witnessing of. I stopped believing that sue to real life experiences of myself and many men from my country who immigrate for a better life and education only.to be faced with the sad reality of not being able to meet a suitable match. He, for example, might have outgrown a suggested match by his parents or local community due to his acquired degree/elevated financial status and wants a girl compatible with that. When it comes to worldly criteria such as beauty, wealth...etc, there should be no shame in desiring them in a realistic way as long as it is desired and pursued in a halal way. 😀 as per my comment on questions of cooking and money... that was an example of such wordly desired qualities that I wanted yo highlight. Desires in a potential partner are not similar between genders but equal.

Salam Alaikum, brothers, I don’t know if you have the same experience as me, but every time I watch a show like this, sisters will say that they want to be led and they will “take off the lipstick “ if the husband asked for it and all of that talk. In real life, I have yet to met one person that I talked to her and she was fine with it, as soon as you ask for the smallest thing then I am controlling and I am unsecured and they are doing all that stuff for them self. That includes any and every thing, from red lipstick to social media to work to every single thing. Subhan allah
