Defensively we were sound on a poor surface. We lacked penetration in midfield and up front. We dominated the first half and instead of kicking on after half-time we went backwards. Still, 9 points after 6 games is ok. We MUST beat Young Boys next month. That should see us safely into the next phase and sets up an interesting trip to Aston Villa. Even top teams in the premier league have a less than 100% game. The problem is that Celtic is so used to winning and dominating at home, the fans are so demanding and impatient with the players and don't allow them that. Celtic have the best support when it comes to generating an atmosphere and loyalty from the fans following their team. But how quickly they turn on the players/team when they have an off day is not good. Qualification was in reach with a single goal but you wouldn’t know it. And even when we did seem to have a go, the technical competency just wasn’t there. Crossing, passing, shooting. Quite frustrating to watch.
Usually a draw away from home is a great result but that game was there for the taking, given that Celtic controlled most of the game, we didn't put their keeper under any pressure, this was like getting a disappointing draw away to Ross County, not a disaster but very disappointing.
