I kind of feel like they had no interest in making this book until the movie came out and people wondered if they could get the book. So they rushed out a short book with larger lettering and margins in order to meet the demand, but months later the demand no longer exists and the movie has soured people. Unfortunate but thanks for the review my friend!
Lol, I have a feeling you’re 100% correct. It feels particularly last minute and cobbled together.
As a reader and MCU Fan, I think that the tie-in novels could really help flesh out the universe. Like Thanos Titan Consumed, which I’m currently reading online, should I buy it?
Titan Consumed is a great book, but it’s not canon, so that’s up to you.
Margaret Stohl's two Black Widow novels were pretty clearly intended to be MCU tie-ins; unfortunately, they were contradicted by Agents of SHIELD (establishing that Tony & Natasha don't know Coulson was resurrected) and by Captain Marvel & She-Hulk (establishing that Carol & Jen don't know Natasha in the relevant time frame). The Black Widow movie ended up telling kind of a similar story to the first book.
@@Geekritique Honestly, it could still be considered at least partially canon. It at least has canon elements (A’Lars, the Outriders being Thanos-Chitauri hybrids, Thanos possessing the deviant gene). Everything else is up for debate, but with a little imagination and creative explaining, the book can pretty much still be considered MCU canon.
I definitely recommend buying a copy of Titan Consumed. It was fully intended to be canon at the time of writing, the writer worked with the Russo brothers, and it can still mostly fit into the MCU.
Scott Lang read The Fault in Our Stars and decided writing a book is easy. He's just another celebrity thinking himself an author. I bet he didn't even write this himself.
Honestly, it probably is ghost written.
I like to think it was intentional the book is bad because that is in line with Scott Lang's writing skills
It’s too expensive to be ironically bad.
@@Geekritiqueexpensive? I payed 10€, what did u pay?
There’s a whole part of this video exploring it’s price tag.
@@Geekritique yh apparently, when i was watching i couldnt Turn my sound on but ive did read the comments srry tho
I’m not mad at the length of the book. I’ll probably get it on sale at some point.
I get that. At a lower price, it might actually make it worth it.
I love your content, keep up the good work
Thank you very much!
Damn... sad to hear it's short, not great and the price being that high, let's hope Marvel doesn't try something like this in the future. Great video regardless brother!
Thank you for watching! It’s disappointing, but eh. Onto the next one. You’re really gonna like my next one 👀
@@Geekritique Anytime & yeah it is what it is, bro I seriously can't wait!!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Are we getting a video for a timeline placement of the second I am Groot season soon? 👀
Maybe, haven’t seen it yet. I’ve been super busy with other projects. But ow that I’ve recorded my Spider-Verse timeline and have finished this review, I should be able to take a look at it.
Hope this book be translated to brazilian portuguese. 😂
Pelo visto n sou o único Brasileiro nesse canal kkkk
@@ruancunha5935 Não kkkkkk
I’m not buying until they release the big version which was in the film and was advertised
I doubt they ever will.
@@Geekritiqueyeah I know
The binding is off-center, too. The pages are very low.
I noticed that, it was bothersome.
Wow, what a missed opportunity.
I agree, the way it looks in the videos...makes it look at least 1/2 a bit bigger.
...and the price. Yikes.
Well, if our library gets it...I'll probably will pick it up. I can read it in a day...and like Jeremy Jahns, forget it by the end of the day.
Thanks for your honest review.
You’re very welcome Graff, and if you ever pick it up, I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Once again, when it comes to Quantumania and Scott Lang, people just automatically start hating on everything.
I mean, I bought and read the book, with the full intention of enjoying it. So…
Quantumania would be praised as a great movie if it came out pre endgame
For your next timeline video, are you planning on adding the canon comics (if they're still considered canon)?
I’m not super sure, but I’m leaning towards no.
@@Geekritique Ok! Are you still planning on including Marvel TV on the timeline?
@littlelink3462 I still plan to include them, yes.
@@Geekritique Yay! I really enjoy your videos. Keep up the amazing work 🙏
@littlelink3462 Thank you!
If they did release an audio book then people would flip out about Paul Rudd himself not providing his voice on it.
Or… they could have him read it.
Or .. if " scouts " were looking for MCU time keepers , your toxic tweets would be the worst resume .
What do you mean?
I had almost forgotten Thanos: Titan Consumed. I loved it back when I read it like… 5 years ago now. Shame it was decanonized
Genuinely good book. But yeah, it’s a forgotten relic at this point.
It's been 13 hours since this video was posted and I'm still trapped in the void that is those margins.
No escape from those margins my dude. I apologize.
yeahhh kinda expected this but hey it's still a neat lil novelty item. I'd probably get it when it gets discounted
Wow they didn’t do double space. Amateurs
They stuck to 1.5 spacing, at the very least 😂
And here I thought that your next video would be talking about how the official MCU timeline book is going off the Disney+ timeline
I’ll talk about that when it comes out. Not for another month now.
here 1:59 the little girl has the same sized book as released next to the boy with the ant-man toy
Nah that’s the same size as the book Scott’s holding
@@Geekritiqueoh just doesn’t look that way to me😂
@@GeekritiqueOh And What’s Even Funnier Is After Making That Comment That It Looked The Same To Me I Had A Closer Look At The Book Which You Had And The Book In The Film Same Size
Oh, ya and maybe you should pay more attention to the movies your watching because when you say you don't like that no battles ever happen between the movies, that's just completely inaccurate. I'm not going to list all the times they refer to things, other than that time they literally refer to all the Hydra bases the Avengers had to take down in between Avengers 1 and 2 to get Loki's Staff in Age of Ultron
Do you know who I am lol 😂
I didn't even know this book existed.
It’s legit lol
what exactly makes thanos: titan consumed, non-canonical?
*promosm*
Wut
WTF you talking talking about its enjoyable and 800 reviews agree 4.5 stars
I think it's good that the book is bad. Are we really expecting Scott Lang to write a good book?
The movie was already pretty mediocre so I thought that book was not going to be anything special.
By the way, did you know that they're working on the MCU timeline book?
Yep! Very excited to get my hands on it.
@@Geekritique That's great to hear. Let's see how much it differs from your own timeline.
Or even if it makes sense.
This book isn’t about Quantumania. It’s about Endgame.
