If you have the Suppression Exposine this is even more abuse-able.
Another way to get in another few free combos is to buy 3 shock grenades and trip him. This works even better when you’re at a wall or your Dash Attack is ready.
I'll admit this boss, even on Story mode, was tough. Yeah, I get it it's the final boss so it does make sense, but man it took me ages to finally beat it. I'll confess I do suck at combat and my reflexes aren't quite as fast as they used to be, not only that but I'm fairly impatient (and unfortunately temperamental) which doesn't help lol. I'll also admit I didn't spend as much time as I should've on understanding the combat system (and practicing in the training sim, I did do a little bit but not as much as I should have done). I'll keep this strategy in mind for next time and will try to improve my combat and look more into all those exospines I've collected and maybe try out the ones I never utilised. In spite of certain bosses I have generally enjoyed this game and will be doing NG+ soon.
Edit: even though the combos are generally fairly simple there are still a lot of them to learn and that sometimes puts me off a bit as my memory is pretty poor lol.
I agree with you! At 65, my reflexes are terrible and I admit that I suck. 43 hours on the first playthrough, but I also read all the messages which made the game so much more enjoyable. Took me maybe 10 times to beat the Providence mech. I used the exospine that charged Tachy up faster and used her 2 times during the final battle, along with LOTS of blocking and jumping the hell outta the way. Even though tough, I loved this game.

Damn, Cowboy putting down all the strats. Had to finally come here and check this out after 15-20 tries -- never realized I was getting so close to finishing the boss at half health, I thought I was leagues away from getting him. But, got him first try after watching the first few minutes of this. Excellent work again, Cowboy.
Yeah this boss ruffled my feathers a bit.
Also the Ora engineer outfit at the start of the video is my second favorites. Raven Suit is definitely number 1 though
This game has some of the best bosses I’ve seen since Elden Ring.
Right??? I was thinking which I preferred and I still think I had more fun with Elden ring. But stellar blade is such a close 2nd.

This is a phenomenal boss. This boss makes you use everything in your arsenal back to back to back. This is one of the best bosses I’ve seen since Glock Saint Isshin maybe? I had to come see if CB had a guide up and I was not disappointed.

Spot on advice right here. Thanks so much for posting this vid. Didn’t do this ending on my first play through on regular difficulty so had never faced this boss… and my new game plus was on hard difficulty. Had to re-spec my skills to focus on the knock-down specific moves but in the end I beat this boss with 1 WB pump and 3 shock grenades used and still had 6 health potions to spare. Tried the melee protection and shield bonus build before but this beta and burst recharge focused build kicked all kinds of butt.
Cowboy, thank you. I was actually having a really difficult time with this boss. For one, i changed outfits and didn't realize it removed one of my exospines completely, and all 4 of my other perks. Once i used your strat i demolished it

I just realized the marketing behind this game is just astonishing. The Disc version with "Uncen" outfit is just made Physical Media valuable again, the controversy behind it will just generate people to looking for what the game is about, and with 20+ years experience in the industry the director and team of the game is going through, despite all of what happen, is always be a great fun game.

Story mode has a slowed timing setting that'll slow down parries and dodging even more, use that alongside the down abilities and you'll be fine

I should have done this. I just beat the game for the first time today with this boss at the end and I lost a fortune in WB pumps learning how to actually defend against this bosses combos it was brutal.

To this helped me finally get over thr boss the hours and hours of fighting each boss then to use a guide at end felt kind of shameful but I didn’t know I had to hit the wings
1st try on this boss blind I got it to 50% but I was so hyperfocused on the shields that I died. 2 hours later, I thought to myself "how would Cowboy kill it?"

Providence was harder than the Elder for me. Both of Raven’s forms were harder for me than the final bosses.

Thank you, I spent an hour getting my butt kicked by this guy, found this video, and did it within three attempts
I kinda regret not being a completionism tho cuz I had to reset all of my skill trees and ration my skill points, and I was still pretty weak with this strategy, so I was basically two shot and I wasn’t doing a ton of damage to Providence each time I knocked it down.

One thing I would like to see them patch is having to rebuy your bullets constantly. They should let you stock up like with everything else and just autofill every time you respawn.

I was struggling. Use this guide and put him in his place lol. First time he did that flying it's over move I was in tachy mode and he waited tell it was over and killed me. But after using this guide I got my revenge

why do i always do it differently 😂😂i literally parried him so much plus i did what u did i emtied the parry meter twice and did the usual 1-2 combo and L1/R1 square combo . I legit went into boss mode didn't die once till half way then bamn

Adam: Why does this boss fight exist? Did the director forget in the route Eve doesn’t take my hand I evaporate Lily’s suit of armor without doing any harm to Lily with just my palm?

I made it through this entire game never using Tachy mode and only really using the square burst/beta skills.
I just never worked any other abilities into my repetoire which im realizing now probabaly made things way harder and boring.
Me whos at the boss missing skill points and cannot go out until i defeat it and losing more and more gold

Don’t know why but second raven fight was hardest one for me.
I spent over an hour in this fight on stroy mode and it wasnt even at half the health
i chose this ending ...fighting province ... lily dies ... cant undo the choice ... i need to go back to my old save where i was before burning xion .... good thing i need to clean up what trophies i have left then go for perfect and back to colony endings ...

This boss is the the definition of not fun. Wind up to instant attack. No wind up instant attack. Perfect Dodge this to get punished by next attack. Revive just to get one shot by his next attack, revive just to get one shot again. Use a move that downs the enemy but it can instantly fly away middle of the attack. 2 blinks to a purple then the mash square which is completely fing broken on hard. Literally good luck trying to mash square enough. Then there's the like 20 hit combo where it just does completely random bs for like 40 seconds straight and 3 million health. To top it all off. Wear reduce dmg by 30% yup no still one shot. This boss is just busted..
Finally beat this thing after 3 days on hard mode. I never wish this fight on anyone lol. All I can do is suggest the exospine that has dmg reduction, put another skill on with your highest dmg reduction giving you around 30%. And spam for L1 square attack to break the balance. This thing takes like no freaking dmg at all. Use all your skills that break balance. When her 20 hit combo starts happening go into tachy mode, if you end up dying to this combo and revive she will just one shot you with next move so don't even bother reviving if you die to this move because the combo continues once you revive. Counter attacks will get you punished so unless you are positive the combo ends I'd avoid it. The one thing that is an instant kill attack is the two blink attacks then the backwards circle. In hard mode I only was ever able to defeat the mashing square once, it's like beyond ridiculous how fast you need to be
I have all Exposines max. But I played German and don’t find a Suppression Exposine. 😢
