Control does have a hover limit. Once you've powered it up its virtually constant but it doesn't start like that. Admittedly if you dump points in it early then you can basically fly before you get a quarter way through. It does make you feel fantastic though. Flying, dodging, ripping out scenery and throwing it, slamming into the ground. Its pretty awesome.
You mean Shadow of Morder or Shadow of War? Because the second one cranks it to eleven, especially the bit in the main story where you punish Bruce for his betrayal...

True and the very moment he fights the Khan without being injured, he kills him with hordes of his men fairly easily. Jin was definitely a walking boss battle
In the Fallout: New Vegas DLC Lonesome Road, you are acknowledged as so powerful that even the deadliest of enemies won't go near you on your way out, so they just do a cut scene explaining it.
The Darkness games don’t get enough respect and attention they were such an amazing concept and there’s really nothing like it. Yea there’s parts of it that fall in line with traditional shooters but the over all aesthetic of them and the story and the things that make it completely different are amazing. I would love to see remasters or a reboot of these games. I would be extremely psyched the see them remastered or rebooted or even a third game and done right, not just as a big money ploy.
Happy Thanksgiving to any fellow Canadians watching today! We celebrate it in October because we use the metric system. I'll be using Boss level turkey carving skills today, so thanks for amping me up!
I know it's not quite as OP as those in the other games covered in parts 1,2 and 3, but feel that Boss moment when you get transformed into a Big Daddy in Bioshock. To go from fighting one (and easily getting killed at the start of the game), to being one was awesome. I can't recall now if you got to keep you plasmid powers, but I think you did. Even more insane.
Dragon's Dogma - playing as a wizard, throwing some of those high level spells around gets crazy. Fireball? Ptththth! Eat this tornado! Going way, way back, there's the Rampage arcade game. You play as a giant monster, ripping up cities! And the ultimate: Dungeon Keeper! You are actually the big, evil boss of a dungeon. You hire, house, and feed various monsters, place traps, and defend your dungeon against raiding heroes.
I think when I played Cyberpunk, I felt bits of Crysis and Far Cry with the way you can approach enemy bases and combat, especially with the cloaking ability.
Yeah Cyberpunk 2077 definitely belongs on these lists. When you get to a high enough level and put all your perks and mods into specific build you turn into an absolutely unstoppable baddass.
@@nong333For sure. Idk how it is after 2.0 but before that, once you reach max level you are hilariously overpowered even in hardest moment. If you can just mess around with your enemies and you're looking for creative ways to clear a building then you are milion times more of a boss than Adam Smash-her.
Since you added a Final Fantasy game to the list, I would nominate FFXV as well as allowing you to pretty much be the boss by the end of the game, especially the post-game dungeons. The Black Hood that you get from Pitioss Ruins allows Noctis to auto-dodge attacks. Combine this with the Ring of the Lucii, which has an attack that can suck enemies into a vortex and that's already a pretty powerful combo. But you can take it up a notch further by using the Ring to farm the Adamantoise. The items given from this can be crafted ro create the strongest of the magic spells. If you went through Pitioss as well, that gave you an opportunity to collect a decent amount of Oracle coins which can be traded to get pink ribbons that nullify all status ailments. And lastly, ensuring Ignis learns the Lasagna al Forno recipeh. This nullifies all elemental damage and stays in effect for a pretty long time. So, now you have a character that is much harder for enemies to hit, can't be felled by pretty much any status ailments, has the strongest magic attacks, you're impervious to most magic attacks being cast on you, and you have a Ring that can one-shot most enemies in a room (and even the Adamantoise takes about 15 minutes or less to defeat with the Ring). All of this made the extra dungeons at the end of the game pretty damn easy and I don't think I died to any of the bosses.
I completely agree with the point about Control. I love that game so much. Over the past several years, games haven't been very enjoyable besides a small few. Control made me think "Oh my god, games are good again!" It is a literal work of art as far as I'm concerned.
So happy to see all the love for Control. Bought it on a whim when it came out. Easily one of my favorite games Ive played. Finishing all the trophies was actually enjoyable
You made me remember how powerful you could be in the original Crysis, my favorite move was switching to maximum strength, choke-hold a soldier, look up and jump (super jump cuz of max. strength) with the soldier in hand then throw the soldier in the air (towards the sky), then see him die mid-way before even landing 😄
Stoked to see that Clive is the number one spot. My friend Vincent plays Clive in the German version of the game and it's such a huge achievement for him, I'll gas him up for it at any chance I get.

Yooo the floating in Control low key reminds me of the Levitation skill in Biomutant. That is another game that could be on this list in my opinion. Just cause like other games in the list, you start off like super trash, not powerful at all, and in fact the game can be a bit difficult. But by closer to the end of the game, once you have good ass armor, full immunity to all elements (making it so that you don’t have to wear a hazmat suit for anything but hypoxia areas), all of the psi powers and bio powers, as well as once you’ve built yourself some amazing weapons, you are pretty much unstoppable. Weapons and spells shred even the strongest bosses and enemies like they are nothing, it’s so much fun! Please keep building on this list!! Totally wanna see a part 4!
I havent watched the last two videos but I do want to mention Trepang2. From the very start youre just an unstoppable force mowing down a shit ton of enemies at once. Its great!
Not sure if it was mentioned in part 1 or 2 but you can't leave out 'Hulk: Ultimate Destruction'. I genuinely felt like a true rage filled Green God in that game.
In Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, about half and something into the game you get the ability to transform into a literal demon, I would add it to these lists if it wasn't already mentioned.
Great again guys I sort of forgot about the Darkness. It was awesome I spent hours upon hours positioning myself in front of the TVs I came across just to watch the films and cartoons showing with the volume turned right up Would really love a remake of that game but I want an option to watch all the stuff on TV lol😎
CastleVania Lords of Shadow wasn't the 1st entry which you were Dracula, that title belongs to CastleVania Aria of Sorrow, the player character Soma Cruz is Dracula reincarnated.
I'd argue that by the end of bioshock 2 you are the final boss. Every weapon you have tears through any splicer that tries to take you down, especially if you've found all the power to the people stations. Personal fav of mine being the shotgun with slugs. Knocks around eben the heavy splicers and the bonus tesla effect is just *chef' kiss*
IDK if it was mentioned in the other videos, but Singularity is a fantastic game that makes you feel invincible once you unlock Time Stopping ability. You can stop time, walk up and load a clip into an enemy, walk out of the time stop and watch 50 bullets rip them to shreds. ETC.
Batman in the Arkham games is like playing the final boss in a game. The way criminals are scared and just how insane Batman intimidates everyone really made me feel badass.
I loved "the darkness" games. I was surprised by the first one when I found it in GameStop it looked pretty cool. Then when I found out they made a sequel I had to get it lol. The second made me feel really powerful
For control the best power moment imo is when ya go through the ashtray maze with the cassette player. Between the music and all youve gained to that point it just culminates in a glorious moment of heavy metal and carnage.
7:35 You're not selected right away to be the new Director but when you are it halfway makes sense. Then you figure out the other half later (but the other half is softly implied so you can piece that bad boy together right away).
I’m surprised Dishonored 2 wasn’t added to any of these lists. After the option for New Game Plus was released, I did it enough times to the point I unlocked every single ability and their respected upgrades at the start of the game. I WAS UNSTOPPABLE
Unpopular Opinion: Anthem. The Storm Javalin is really damn fun to play as. Pulling of elemental combos and Ultimates looks and feels satisfying. Too bad there wasn't more support for it
Nice pick on The Darkness, the whole narrative makes us empathise with Jackie to the point where we are in the front row seat in watching the Darkness trying to manipulate Jackie, as well as the struggle from Jackie to keep it under control, all while we wreck shit up everywhere.
I feel like the old PS2 game, The Suffering 1 & 2, might count as a playable boss too. You're running around killing monsters with guns, then when things get tough, you can turn into a big bad monster yourself to rip and tear through any enemy.
PROTOTYPE. I know it’s not technically what the game means but Omg this game. There’s a point like mid-end game where the most of the city is infected and you’ve gotten all of your abilities. Nothing could ever beat just *slicing* thru crowds of infected in Manhattan. It was like Spider-Man but with gory mutated blades 😍😍😍
Code Vane is another thats great for this, partly because you will end up like a boss towards the end, because you easily handle some mid level bosses that were the bosses from one of the earlier levels, but also because you can get the bosses powers yourself.
All the AvPs, Prototype, and the recent versions of Doom. That's games where you just are the boss from the start of the game, rather than games where you can be or you eventually become the boss, which is a much larger pool of games.
Eternal Darkness for GameCube is another one that, by the end if the game, you are supercharged and basically even the game’s final boss is easy. However, still a lot of fun to play and own all the enemies
We gotta get a video on "What made the Transformers Cybertron games special?", given that it's been over 10 years since Fall of Cybertron, and that we're getting closer to Transformers Reactivate.
Not sure if it wasn't on another list but Cyberpunk 2077. You can roleplay cyberpsycho and until MaxTac comes you can be almost invincible. I managed to find space that MaxTac couldn't fly to and I could just run around punching cops with gorilla arms. Add some shooting and netrunning and no one can touch you. Then MaxTac comes and you are dead in 5 seconds but until then you are the boss. :D
I'll give you one: Bioshock 2. If you play it smart you'll make a mockery of virtually everything. Brutes? Hit them with one rocket harpoon, then hit them with a second while they flail around. End of problem. They even say "That's not FAIR!"
For me, I felt god-tier when playing DOOM. (Especially 2016). The in-game line, “And those that tasted the bite of his sword named him… the Doom Slayer” 👌🏻
Dude playing doom with that astounishing music is just something else, the litteral thought that the whole hell is scared of your existence and you're ripping through dimensions hunting those fuckers while jamming w/ those mick gordon's amazing tracks. Quite nothing like it really. "Once, the doomslayer found a shotgun and killed 50 demons with it. Then he found the ammo."
Damn, this video makes me want a Prototype remake. That game is the reason I got into gaming other than just tinkering around in Mario or a racing game. I bought a PS3 just because I saw Prototype on the shelf at Walmart and knew I had to play it just by looking at the box.

Saint row 4 also feels so much like a boss. The powers and things u can do is super fun
The way you have pronounced Lady Dimitrescu's name, killed me :))
Darksiders from 1 to 3, the voice actors are awesome, story is awesome, gameplay is awesome, the perfect game👌
The darkness needs to come back!
in 1:26 the Stormtrooper saying "oh this isn't good..." is the best part xDDD
Ive had to be down bad to watch Gameranx 😅 Ill take it
Control is definitely my favorite game of all time
I clicked instantly when i saw this cause of the thumbnail lol. Well played sir 👏
These videos always make me happy.
Having mgsv in this video would be great 😂
I mean, you actually are the boss
That thumbnail is magnificent 👀
Control is a masterpiece, only complaint is the beginning was a little consuming.
Consuming? You mean like "all hair must be eaten"? ;)
@@ZlothZloth i mean confusing. Didn’t realize it said consuming.
The upcoming Robocop game, which the demo is available. Like Crysis, you're basically playing a tank indoor without getting stuck on obstacles.
Code Vane is another thats great for this, partly because you will end up like a boss towards the end, because you easily handle some mid level bosses that were the bosses from one of the earlier levels, but also because you can get the bosses powers yourself.
The Doom Guy disrespect! THE BFG DIVISION IS KING!
I'm speechless. Spiderman showing the goods front and center on that cameo shot. Like O M G 😎🤣🔥
Here for the thumbnail, stayed for the content
(6:51) I’m excited for the fourth.
(7:04) What’s this one?
We should get more Darkness games. If not that, then let’s get some remasters!
I'll give you one: Bioshock 2. If you play it smart you'll make a mockery of virtually everything. Brutes? Hit them with one rocket harpoon, then hit them with a second while they flail around. End of problem. They even say "That's not FAIR!"
Control is my reference for what a game with telekinesis should feel like.
FFXVI got my heartrate up with those eikon battles... absolutely mental stuff.
Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater: You're literally Big Boss
