  • Come tour Planet Hollywood Cancun with us! We did an overnight stay at this all-inclusive resort in the Costa Mujeres area of Cancun. The weather did not cooperate with us, so we drank a little and we ate a lot. Let us know in the comments if you've been to Planet Hollywood Cancun and if you enjoyed it or not.

hey great video just wondering if we can smoke on this resort and if there was any isshues with a funny smell in the rooms due to humidity

Now that you mention it, we didn't see anybody smoking on property. I did a quick search and found that, while some resorts are offering designated smoking areas since Mexico baned smoking in all public spaces, Planet Hollywood is listed as one of the resorts that has not done so. Thank you so much for your kind words. Hopefully you are enjoying the other videos as well and find them helpful as you plan your travels.

Went there a couple weeks ago. Resort is beautiful. Staff was very helpful. My only negatives are the food. To me was about average. And the long waits at swim up bar to get drinks. Went on spring break so it was packed. Steak house is best place to eat by far. Yet good luck getting in there.

I would agree on the food. We did not experience long waits, but we were there in early February. It's not my personal favorite in the area, but it's a very good option for the right guests or situations. I would go back for sure.

It looks like most of the things happening are on the family side however I’d like the added benefit of adults only. How far is the walk from the adult scene to the family side of the resort?

You are correct. The vast majority of restaurants and shows take place on the “Family Side” of the resort. The Adult Scene area is only about a 5 minute walk from the furthest point of the family side. Adult Scene area has a designated adults only pool, two adults only restaurants, and then an adults only area section on the beach. I think it's a good option for multi-generational groups where some of the party are families and some are adult couples or singles. The adults without children can have the reprieve when they want it and still socialize with the rest of the family as well. The resort also prices pretty well, so it's popular with adult groups with a modest budget wanting a 4 star experience.

Question I have is how are people getting into downtown Cancun or the hotel zone from Planet Hollywood? From what I see the commonly referenced R1 and R2 busses do not get anywhere close to the hotel. So is it just pricey taxis?

We book our clients with a transfer company. The transfers are reasonably priced and a tiny fraction of the overall cost. A shared transfer can be as low as $16/person, but most of our clients choose private direct service.

What do you suggest to tip the Butler daily?

I'd say anything from $20 to $50 per day is fairly standard. Base it on the service you receive, of course.
