Wow Cancun beaches are so much calmer than what punta cana is like we had some amazing fun body surfing the waves but those waves are what its like swimming in my local lake Erie minus the salt water making u far more buoyant

Such a great video! ❤️ can’t wait for my stay. I have a question did you guys have free airport shuttle from the airport to the hotel? Also, for the Japanese Asian restaurant, for the hibachi section is that additional or that included with the all inclusive stay ?
Hi Elenie thank you so much for watching! Our hotel shuttle was included in our Costco travel package. When you arrive you can take a taxi but u highly recommend booking your transportation before arriving this way you are all set when you land. The company was called BD experience and they made us download their app to book the returning shuttle ride back to the airport. Check them out to see pricing. For the hibachi it is included in the all inclusive package you just have to make a reservation our waiter told us it’s best to do when you check in. Hope this information helps please let me know if you have any other questions 😊

Hi Dan we went towards the end of May and the weather was great so I would think in April it will be nice but to be see check weather websites to see what to expect in April. Curfew was 10pm when I went I’m sure by the time you go in 2023 there will be many changes to vivid restrictions I really hope you guys have a great time on your trip
Thank you also for a great tour! We have been to Cancun, Riviera Maya, and a couple of the other extended areas.. However, the last two vacations there, the seaweed & somewhat the resorts as well, left a lot to be desired. So much that my husband did not want to return. However, from where we live this inclusive resort filled area is one of the shortest flights & a place where we can usually find a deal without having to plan far in advance. All inclusive is also SO hard to beat financially today! This property was one that was available for our short adult getaway.
Was the beach clean & white with barely any seaweed?....it seemed good as far as the images went. The water looked beautifully aqua blue...which is the Cancun I remember experiencing & loving years ago (which is what I would like for my husband to finally experience)!

While we were there at the end of May 2021 the water was clear, blue, and did have some seaweed. Nothing super crazy but I did see images online of people post a lot of seaweed in June. I think it really depends on the time you visit. I also believe the resorts try their best to clean it up but just speaking from our trip we had no complaints about the ocean or seaweed. I hope this information helps and that you enjoy your trip to Cancun 😊

I so appreciate you putting this tour/review for everyone...I see that you travelled in May, I'm actually checking in mid April and this may be a weird question but what building/room were you in? I booked a swim out suite and I'm aiming for maximum sun exposure in the mini pool out front. Considering the resort layout mainly consists of north/south facing rooms, I'm just wondering if you recall which direction might be better.

I can’t remember the exact name of the building but if you are looking at the map our room faced the lazy river on the family side so the building in the far left. We got plenty of sun in the balcony and from what I saw from the swim up suites they also got plenty of sun. I have a video in my Cancun playlist showing our room and I include a balcony shot so if you haven’t yet check out that video too see if the view and location is to your liking. Thank you for watching, at the time of our visit all the restaurants were open. Some have different operating hours so please check to see what time they open/close.
Room service was ok the food was like buffet food. After you order from the TV they will call your room to confirm and the food should arrive shortly after. The longest we waited was 40 minutes for our room service.
For the Star Class I believe you should have access to the adult pool but you may want to confirm. We didn’t upgrade to star and I only went to the adult side to film. I did not use their amenities. Double check with the resort before booking to make sure 😊
Hi thanks for this video this place looks absolutely amazing and think this may have made me decide on it. I just have a couple questions; Is there waiter service on the beach? If not how long would it take to walk to the bar to get a drink from the beach? Also how much extra was the surf thing? And very random but is there anywhere to get like fish tacos from?and lastly is there activities such as yoga etc through the day?
Hi yes they have a bar right on the beach with service. I can’t remember the price for surfing because we didn’t participate in the activity. I would recommend contacting the hotel just to be sure because I’m sure the pricing has changed just like everything else since we last visited last year. There are plenty of places to eat however during lunch time the selection is limited. We didn’t have fish tacos on our visit but I’m sure the buffet has tacos. Our go to spot during lunch was the burger place or pizza just quick bites that we can grab and head back to the water/pool.
There are many activities during the day and the schedule changes so once you check in as they for a copy so you can plan your activities out.
Im going in march i cant wait!

@@yeevang3966 correct this was a very chill resort. There was nightlife but it wasn’t out of control crazy. In my opinion it’s very family friendly.
During our visit it was limited due to covid restrictions but they had live music, performances and lounge areas. That was over a year ago so things may have changed
Thank you for the video.!! I am new to traveling, (new subscriber here ❤️) When staying at an all inclusive resort, do they have a limit of how many À la cart restaurants reservations? I do not like buffets and would prefer to eat all my meals at a restaurant 😄.
Hi thanks for watching and subscribing! There is no limit on the a la cart restaurants. We only ate at the buffet once and that was enough lol I find the food is just ok at these buffets. So I recommend eating at restaurants because the food taste better. We even ordered extra at the restaurants and they never told us anything about ordering more than one entree each. enjoy and have a great trip 😊

Hello Maurice, how it worked when we visited back in May 2021 was you can book reservations when you check in. We didn’t learn about this until the end of our trip when we were told by our waiter that if we wanted to secure a reservation then that should have been arranged when we check in. For the Mexican Cantina the wait was about an hour so we checked in and they gave us a buzzer. The other restaurants was only 10-15 minute wait time. Not all restaurants need a reservation (buffet, pizza pick up, burger joint, and fast pick up food spots)
For walk up to request reservations for later time I’m not too sure if that is an option as we didn’t do that we just walked downstairs and checked in with hostess like normal.
Some of the restaurants do offer upgrade options that is done at the time of dinning. For example the steakhouse offers upgrade for premium cuts of meat and lobster tail. We did not upgrade and did not feel it was worth it. Everyone enjoys eating different things so if that is something you are interested in then you can ask the waiter for pricing.

Thank you for the amazing detailed resort! We will be staying here in May, but since we’re travelling with our 1 yr old, I was just wondering if you had / can recall what the hours of the restaurants were like? They don’t have that info on their website unfortunately
Hi Jessica, I believe the buffet is the first restaurant to open around 7am. All the other restaurants open at different times. During lunch hours the fast food pick up spots like the pizza, burgers, coffee cafe and restaurant closest to the water are open. For dinner all the others open I don’t recall the exact times but I will say when you check in ask them If any takes reservations if they do book it so you can secure a time. Room service is offered 24/7 so that may be helpful too. There is a coffee shop that is open all day and they have ice cream, candy, pastries, teas, coffees, and smoothies. Hello everything we ate and featured in the video was included with the all inclusive package. I did not want to pay more for extra food. Pricing was a bit high in my opinion for the upgrades

Hey 👋🏼 the wifi was really good. I used it to upload content from my phone to the cloud and it worked fine. There is no charge as it was included in our package. Hope this information helps and please let me know if you have any other questions 😊
Hey! Glad you had a great stay, but looking at the comments and reviews on google, there are a lot of mixed things about this hotel. Just wondering if you stayed at any other hotels in the cancun/riviera maya/playa del Carmen area that you'd also recommend?
Hi Clinton thank you for watching! We have not been to other hotels in Cancun but plan to go back this summer. I would recommend searching Cancun hotels on RUclips or google to see what others have experienced. I also read the mixed reviews about this hotel but decided to stay anyways. We had a great time and didn’t experience anything bad. I know this is a fairly new resort so I’m hoping they fix the issues and get better reviews

Hi thanks for watching! We did not go to isla mujeres but I wish we did. I’ve heard it’s very fun and a must see. That is an option for the excursions offered by the hotel. They have different packages to choose from too

Our all inclusive package included transportation. There are many companies that provide transportation but if you can book it all with your package I think it’s easier to manage

If I book the planet Hollywood adult scene resort, will I still have full access to the neighboring associated resort? Did you two stay at the adult scene? I’m also using costco travel. Do you have any general advice? I would really appreciate a reply. Thanks.
Hi Salmaan. Yes you can still access the family side if you book the adult scene. For those who book the family side they do not have access to the adult scene as that side is exclusive for adults only.
We opted to stay on the family side because we wanted to see how it looked and get the feel of the resort since we planned on bringing the kids on the next trip. So I wanted to see what it had to offer.
My advice to you would be to pre book your transportation (if using Costco it’s included) bring some $1 for tipping or convert USD to pesos prior to arriving in Mexico. We used USD for tipping and did exchange $100 USD To pesos for shopping in the market area and souvenirs on our excursion but everywhere we went they accepted USD so which ever is earlier for you to manage take that currency. I would also recommend not purchasing souvenirs on site at the resort it is VERY over priced. In regards to the add on dining I wouldn’t recommend upgrading your meals as the meals provided with the all inclusive package is good. Some of the restaurants do require reservations so depending on what you want to eat it would be best to book times when you check in. Hi, you will not be able to access the adult scene if you are booked on the family side. I was able to go there early just to film because at that time nothing is really open so there was no one checking wrist bands. The only thing I saw different was the pools were a bit nicer and had cool day beds and the 2 additional restaurants. The family ace de had just as nice pools with different types of day beds but still really nice. The laser river and water parks are on the family side so in my opinion if I were to go back I would book family side because I didn’t see a huge difference with the adult side to justify the price difference. It all comes down to personal preference abs travel style if you mind kids then book adult scene but if you are ok with kids the family is the cheaper option and will save you some money. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi Ella I didn’t spend lots of time in the water at the beach because the current was strong so please check the flag markers before going into the water. I would recommend having an experienced swimmer check the depths of the water first before having the kids go in. Sorry I don’t have a clearer answer. If your on the adults only side can you go to the family side as well or vice versa?
Hi Khanh if you are ok adults side you can use the entire resort. If you are on the family side you can not go to the adult side or use their amenities/2 restaurants. Hope this information helps and please let me know if you have any other questions

Hi, great question. In order to use the adult side including pool, activities, and restaurants you have to book on the afoot side. Those are some of the perks aside from it being adults only. The star class member is an additional add on and has different perks. We didn’t add that on and still had a great vacation. We booked family side and I only entered super early (7am) to film the video no one was checking wristbands at the hour as most things are closed. I’m not 100 sure how they check but I assume it’s by wristband. Hope this helps answer your questions 😊

Hi love, I have a question, was there mosquitoes in the hotel? I was reading some comments and reviews and now I’m worried if they have mosquitoes? Im going there for a week so im trying to see my options. Again, thank you for the great video & review ❤️
We did not experience mosquitos at the resort. I brought bug spray and did not have to use it. We did not keep our balcony open we only went in and out so maybe those comments are from guest who left the sliding door open but I’m not sure. To be on the safe side just bring the spray or wear the bracelet. You can find them on Amazon or a BIG5 😊
There is mosquitoes I’m there now it’s my second day we just had to have pest control come

How what's the food on the resorts I will be there in 3 days
@@briandupar6406 The food is decent. Nothing was terrible, but only a few things were excellent. Sunset Strip was very good. Gusto was solid, especially the petit filet and the tiramisu. The buffets were exactly what you'd expect. I didn't care for the food at the sports bar, but as the only place open until 2:00 AM, it's hard to complain too much. The seafood restaurant has excellent presentation of their dishes. Don't forget that room service is 24 hours!
Hi Brian we enjoyed all the food on the resort. Lots of options and it’s all inclusive so that’s a plus. I did want to point out though that at some restaurant they upsell certain items for example at the steak house if you want a better cut or add a lobster tail it is extra. We didn’t upgrade any meals because we didn’t feel it was necessary, but it’s your vacation so live you best life lol enjoy your trip and thanks for watching our video 😊

If you paid for the all inclusive package whether that be on the adult or family side all of your drinks and food is included. It is optional to upgrade your food but that’s totally up to you. There are no benefits that we experienced with being a Marriott platinum member you should call the resort to confirm benefits. Hope this helps and enjoy your trip

Nicely done ! We’ll explained and answers many questions. Before COVID we stayed at Sunscape in Riveria Maya & cuz it wasn’t 5 Star 🌟 the food was disappointing. Hollywood sounds exactly what we’re looking for . With our large family, this would suit our kids and grandkids, plus adult fun too. Thank you 🙏

Were the restaurants all inclusive as well? Or just certain ones
All restaurants are included in the all inclusive package but many of them had the option to upgrade or add on extra stuff. Some dinning experiences need to be booked in advance
How was the beaches while you were there in reference to the seaweed?
Hi Steven we went the last week of May and there was little to no seaweed at the beach in front of the resort. The current is strong so it made swimming in the ocean a bit difficult so if you plan on going in just look for the warning flags so you can know what to expect. I have had subscribers let me know that when they went in June and July they experienced a lot of the seaweed. Hope this information helps 😊

Hi Jennifer, does this resort do any parties or entertainment during the day or night on the adult side? And at the adult pool?
Hi In the evening there is live entertainment and 2 lounge/bars that play music. There wasn’t any specific party or event for adults when I went back in May but that could have changed by now with it being summer and more tourist visit the resort. The bar located on the beach also had music at night and that’s probably the closest thing to a club on the resort. I hope this information helps let me know if you have anymore questions 😊

Love the video. Thinking about going to Cancun for the the 1st time!!!!!! With my family. I have one question. How long is the ride from the airport to hotel?
Hi Minerva the shuttle we took made a few stops along the way so it took a little over an hour. So depending if your shuttle is private or shared like ours the time may vary but it wasn’t too bad. You can always use a taxi I’m not sure what the pricing on that is though. Enjoy your family trip and I appreciate you watching 😊
We had our own shuttle and it took 30 minutes

It’s was booked through Costco travels all one package. I would recommend asking your resort to see if they offer shuttle service or can recommend a company
Great video. Just to clarify, in the lobby, the Star Class checking is not for the adult only scene, it is for guests that have booked star class rooms.
The adults only section has a seperate check in section.

Fab Video really informative. Out of interest what level of Tips are you expected to give the staff per day. The UK isn't really a tipping culture so its a bit of the unknown :)
Thank you Michael. Tipping is optional but recommended. If you feel the service deserves tip then I would tip. We used both USD and pesos when tipping.

Depending on the service average tip was $2 and up.

Hi Michelle yes you can order as much as you want. We did that at most restaurants because some serving sizes are small. You pay for all inclusive so definitely get your money’s worth 😊

Yes it was included in our all inclusive package and we made the appointment after checking in.
Also on their website there was like no pictures of the beach which was weird but this video helped me a lot

I have a Sony and most of it was in my iPhone XR I shoot in 4K 60 fps. For audio I use my rode mic or Lavalier mic all linked in my Amazon store front (affiliate links)

Hi Carolina thanks for the nice comment. We didn’t upgrade to star class so I’m not sure how much more it cost. We booked through Costco and I do remember it being cheaper to stay on the family side so that’s what we went with. Some time has passed since our trip so I’m sure pricing has adjusted so I would recommend checking the website or if you a booking through Costco, you can call their customer service line and ask them to compare pricing. Hope this information helps you plan your trip 😊
How was the beach there? I heard lots of sea weeds. Is this still a problem to swim in the beach?
Hi Tobi the beaches were really nice, the water was blue and there was a little seaweed when I was there. I have seen many videos showing a ton of seaweed but for us in May it wasn't too bad. The waves/current was pretty strong so just be careful and read the warning signs before you jump in.
Does the resort have outlets that we have in Canada/ USA or are they different?
They have regular outlets like in the US and USB plug ins we did not bring our international outlet adapters. I find that a lot of the new resorts have universal outlets to make it easy for travelers to charge their devices. As a back up you could bring if you would like

The food was good we really enjoyed the steakhouse. The buffet is a good option to try a lot if items. During the day they have live music, pool activities, and little performances at random times. They do but it cost extra to upgrade your dinner. We did not upgrade so I do not know how much it cost. You can ask the hotel when you check in they will help with all your accommodations

I am not sure how much extra it cost for star class because we did not upgrade. The star class is an add on package when booking on the adult scene side it’s an additional service you have to add on but if you are booking through a wedding planner I would ask them about it to be sure and see if it’s apart of your wedding package.

Hi Karen yes men can wear jeans with polos. I even saw shorts with flip flops they aren’t yo strict with dress code I think as long as it’s appropriate you should be fine. Some people got really dressed up but it’s not required

Hi great question. So depending on what side you stay on (family or adult) the restaurants are included in the all inclusive package. The only thing about some of the restaurants that I did not like is that they upsell some of the menu items. For example in the steak house if you wanted a better cut of meat or wanted to add on certain things it’s an additional charge. I honestly feel for the price that you pay for the inclusive package everything should be included but that was not the case at this resort. I still do highly recommend planet Hollywood because we had a great experience and all the food that is free was good so we did not upgrade anything.

Yes they do it’s all on site booking and they set up the whole thing

Yes a negative covid test is required to return to the US even if you are vaccinated
Yes. Both me and my mom are vaccinated and we need to get a Covid test because we can still get delta variant. Masks are also required in all restaurants and it’s very enforced
You said the children disappeared at night so are they not aloud to go to the shows at things x
The children are allowed at the shows and any event at night time but after the shows are done all the kids left and it becomes more of an adult scene with live music and bars.

Hi Will when we went Last May there were still a ton on covid restrictions in place so that may have changed by now. Speaking from our experience the party scene was so so they didn’t have any clubs on site or anything like that. Just bars with live music and the bar on the beach was pretty cool too. I think overall it’s fun for young adults but if you and your group are looking for club scene you may have to leave the resort and go into town. We didn’t do that so I don’t know much about that area. Hope this helps, and thank you for watching 😊

@@willz238 bars are fun and they have live music it’s a pretty chill vibe. Not sure when the bars close because we were always in our room by 10-11. There’s a mini fridge in the room that has beer but the mini bar was not in service when we went due to Covid restrictions I’m not sure if that’s changed but typically inside your room there’s a mini bar with hard liquor so if the bars close early you could just go to your room and have drinks there room service is 24 hours so you can also order food. But again the mini bar was not in service due to Covid but that could’ve changed by now. We were told all rooms would have had a full service mini bar but since it’s open bottle they took it all out of the room due to covid and you only get bottle beer or cans in the room

Does this resort have an onsite disco/nightclub?
Hello Chris, when we went last May there was no club onsite. That may have been due to covid restrictions so things may have changed since our visit. For night entertainment they had live music and a show. The bars play music and at night they have live singers and bands. Most people just ordered drinks and lounged in that area. The bar on the beach was very similar as well. There isn’t a dance floor or anything like that it’s just more of a chill vibe and if you want to dance you can. It was really nice and there are no other resorts right next to this one so you have a lot of space to be spread out. The currents were strong on some days but you can still swim in the ocean just be really careful 😊

No I don’t believe so. Most restaurants close by 9pm but they have 24/7 room service so you can order food to your room anytime
Just returned from 7 days at PH and stayed on adults side: I found no benefits from staying on adult side- The check in area wasn’t anything special, but rather the main check in area the ceiling shows fireworks and everyone claps on your arrival. You would think that you would get the same experience on the adults too. All the activities we found we on the regular side of resort and found ourselves on that side all day.
I agree with this, I didn't see a huge difference and I really enjoyed the family side. We had so much fun in the lazy river.
whats a recommended tip amount per service?
That’s a really hard question to answer because depending on the level of service provided and also service type being provided by staff the tip amount should differ (in my opinion)
With that said my tip amount starts at $2 and can go up depending on what we are tipping for. The staff works extremely hard and for the servers that bring you drinks on hot days they really deserve a nice tip. Again though this is just my preference and yours and others can be different. My advice on tipping is tip what you can and what you are comfortable tipping. I hope this helps 😊

I would carry $1 instead of $5. If you plan on going to town to shop you can pay with small bills. Also I do not recommend getting gifts on the property we did and big mistake we overpaid by ALOT lol lesson learned. If you want to by gifts or things for yourself shop in town so you can get better deals abs support local businesses. Enjoy your trip and have lots of fun

I don’t recall seeing it at the bars but to be honest I wasn’t really paying attention we enjoyed all the drinks we got. In some of the restaurants you can upgrade like for example the wine at the steak house but we didn’t Upgrade we just got whatever was included in the all inclusive

Was it busy?
No it was not too busy. There was plenty of chairs at the pool and everyone is very spread out. It might be getting busier since summer is here a the kids are out of school but overall not overly crowded 😊
We just got back from there on Saturday and it was stupid busy!! They claim they are at 60% capacity but I would hate to see it at 100% also very unorganized

@@JLP728 so all the pools close at 7 or 8. The adult side pool is jumping until then and after that it’s a ghost town. The main lobby is where the party is at at night time. Its on the family side. One of the bars stays open until 2 or 3 am it’s called OT the overtime restaurant and bar where they have karaoke
At planet Hollywood there was no club on site they only had a show every night and live music at the bars but no clubs. We didn’t leave the resort to go to the clubs so I’m not sure what time those other places stay open until
