Is the French army going to a picnic or to war? That is the best MRE I have ever seen...
If you think that's a picnic, then the Italian Army is going to a fancy restaurant in the wilderness. I don't know if its changed since, but about 10yrs ago the Italian MRE's used to have two of the small (size of a cup) wine bottles in them and a palm sized bottle of either Limoncello or Grappa for the breakfast. Each meal was like a full restaurant meal.

Interesting..but I only buy organic..& better to grow your own where you can..& preserve food..
May not be an option in years to come …we won’t be allowed to grow our own food if they get their way

@@isobelmillard5257 That's only possible until it isn't. The govt will always use force and tyranny to do what they want. The State Government of Victoria - Australia, last night on the news declared that they've removed the right of going to VCAT (Victorian Civil Administrative Tribunal) and court to fight any forced acqusition of farmland when the govt wants to install "green energy" farms. Basically the govt can now seize the land, pay nothing and ruin the place and there's nothing anyone can legally do about it. The excuse the govt used to justify it is "the climate and green energy are more important as anything as they're saving everyone".
It is survival food, can keep you alive in a hard scenario when you can't grow food, organic tin foods are very difficult to get them organic. Preserve organic food you should be very careful because of botulism.

oatmeal block and steak and kidney pudding in a tin, the French don't know what they missed in 80s British rations and the little sachet of 'fizzy' coffee when water poured on it they'd soon surrender for a cup of that 🤣

French rations are very tasty, the cheese spread is a great option and other tinned parts of the menus are v good especially the seafood options. Agree most of the tinned stuff will last well beyond the expire date however, the biscuits have been a real let down on longer term storage and use even though kept in a cool dark place. Just a few months past the printed expire date and a number of menu options all the biscuits were rancid and smelt v bad, would not eat them......tins fine and other packets like nougat and chocolate again all fine, the jelly fruit bar goes a little hard but again edible. Just something to be aware of if you ae thinking oh la la we have the solution to long term fine dining.

The French ration RCIR are probably the best Army Rations in the World when they are fresh. The Biscuits become rancid very quickly. I recently ate a 20+ year old British packet of Biscuits Fruit recently, something that wouldn't be possible with the French RCIR biscuits.
For £20 a pop, I would make my own 6000+ Kcal luxury rations from Farmfoods/Lidl if weight wasn't an issue and use a Smash Lunch Bag.
French RCIR is the best rp hands down.
Question: why is it the only 24hr orp without any means of heating included is the British one??

I've purchased 2! The army rations I had back in 1996 were nothing like the French rations. I remember the dog biscuits and Mars bar. The oat pouch we would mix it with the hot chocolate that tasted amazing.
The Lasagne menu is really good 👍
