God I love this channel. Its so great to be reminded of these great games that I havent thought about in years and forgot just how much i once enjoyed playing them
Next is Road of the Dead? That's great!! Although I have to wonder if you're only going to talk about Roads 1 and 2 and not the Lab and Range spin-offs.
The Meta and Lore of this game- as with any of UrbanProphet's early games, was passed almost solely via word of mouth. The early UrbanProphet online forums (there have been many. The first is still affectionately referred to as "The Green Site") was where I first cut my teeth online and it was where you learned tactics to survive in Mud and Blood and all the niche little details. For example; Detailed Orders have a contentious past. The way it is/was coded, DOs scaled back the enemy by lowering the Wave Counter by -5 *behind the scenes* (I.e. Get a DO crate on wave 90, next wave you see 91, the enemy AI sees 86:). This in turn also affected the wave counter for the challenge ribbons: DEs could adversely affect your progress for them, completely out of your control. You had to gamble that you wouldn't get a DE from a crate if you were playing for the challenge ribbons. There have been tweaks ever since, but iirc, it's still how the mechanics work in the base game.
@@LH1980XX There *was* a MnB 1, however it was Urb's first project and was (and is) very unbalanced and hardly playable. But there probably were others during the Golden Age of Flash. I recall "Endless War" having a very similar aesthetic.
this game was the sole reason i got C's and B's in my senior year, ive fallen in love with all 4 mud and blood games, plus the remaster on steam. im a sucker for punishment and a completionist, seeing as the medals and ribbons are on a time limit or can only be obtained on certain days of the year was just so freakin cool to me as i never saw a flash game with such a mechanic. this game blew my mind with such mechanics and the style of gameplay. i mean for f**k sake on Halloween zombies will spawn and on christmas the ol fat man himself has a chance to show up and you are ENCOURAGED to blow him up for a free unit buff that gives them the Garand, nades and increased rifle skill. WHO THINKS OF THIS BRO. if you want a sorta easier game to pick up from URB (MnB dev) STWALT is a DND inspired game he made that i really enjoyed. (tip for road of the dead, get armor, windshield and engine first, and for road of the dead 2, at least in my oppinion Dianes arsenal is far better than Cochetas, even though he has an LMG and auto shotgun. i will die on this hill) thank you for coming to my ted talk.
ive easily put >400h on recon, cant wait for the steam version, also yea diane's m4 is much more accurate for the helicopter section, cocheta's equivalent would be the mp5
My brother, will you be getting into games like Several Journeys of Reemus, A Small Favor and Reincarnation? There is a whole world of flash games out there that never really saw the time of day outside of a niche community of players. Epic War (though this franchise struck it big for the standards of flash), Swordfall Kingdoms and Alexander (Warlords clones in historical settings), Two Powers and it’s sequel, Rise of a Knight and it’s sequel, Arcane the Armour Collector and Raze, and countless others.
What about crossing the map with your troops? As kid I was doing it all the time thinking it's the main goal to get as far as you can, but still to this day I don't know waht was the reason behind it, because map and environment was changing
I have to be that one jackass that mentions hey I played this game on a different website and then have access to everything there so I basically slammed my head up against the wall doing nothing forever wah wah wah wah wah😂😂😂😂😂😂

lab was designed for mobile and is more story based, and range isnt even worth your time really...

Did it come from another game? As I remember a similar game in flash that had a similar art style. But it's been a VERY long time.

@ YES that's it endless war! Thanks!
Detailed Orders before wave 50 gives you extra time to set up defense, but after that it hurts because you can already see armored units.
This and Recon was the jam back in the day. urb is really a legend!
theres a steam version in the works

Put a lot of evenings into Mud and Blood 2 and now Skirmish Line since discovering the tier list video, glad i did!

@@scoob6505 i think skirmish line improved the formula alot, its way easier but more fun and still retains most of the difficulty
👏🙂
Great video.
This brings back so many memories and I didn't know there was so much more to this game then i knew.
Thanks for digging up my childhood
Your channel is a goldmine for all of us flash game kids armor games was one of my go to sites
Would you consider doing a video on some of the Swords and Sandals Gladiator Flash Games or Bone Attack? :)
Next video request: Rail / Skies of War or World Domination 2
Really enjoying your videos. Thanks! Loads of nostalgia. Burnout definitely happens, so whenever it comes, it comes!

Peak video, but I can't find a good way to play this. No matter what site I go on, my mouse permanently disappears after the first run.
If you want there is a steam version that’s fun
@@ryanlarson4347I got the demo yesterday, andI have never needed to spend 12 dollars more than now.
This is the first time in years I hear you can just walk up to the top of the map lmao
The godfather of Foxhole
You should do a video on Spellblazer is a very neat but mostly forgotten game with a match 3 combat system
Wait those challenge exist ? And the requirement is just insane there no way a casual can get those
road of the dead 2 is top 5 best flash games ever made
a vid on Alexander dawn of an empire would be dope!
İ like the hoi4 background music
Bruh, those achievements are crazy

This game is the reason im addicted to hoi4 nowadays lol
Can’t wait for road of the dead
Is Clear vision going to be mentioned? That one was one of my first.
What about crossing the map with your troops? As kid I was doing it all the time thinking it's the main goal to get as far as you can, but still to this day I don't know waht was the reason behind it, because map and environment was changing
Road of the Dead footage spotted. nice.
is Road of the Dead 2 story distinctive enough compared to Road of the Dead to warrant a future video though?
French Run is the most fun
