Yesterday I got my "big" touring rig back together after doing two short tours where I had to fly all my stuff. I'm experimenting with some different ways of running a direct guitar signal, so I figured it would be fun to use the current set up for a little improv in the live room in my studio.
Hope you can come see the full set on this next tour!
Pedals used:
Walrus Audio Deep Six
EHX POG 2
Old Blood Noise Procession
Chase Bliss Warped Vinyl
Montreal Assembly Count to 5
Strymon El Capistan
Strymon Timeline
Strymon BigSky
No amp, just using the cab filter on the BigSky with some Universal Audio preamp/tape/compression plugins on the way in. Sounds pretty good to me! - Видеоклипы
Reading Proverbs + Listening to Andy's new Sketch = Tears
you mean the ones in the Bible?
I truly hope this is not a studio, but a house, a new house, YOUR new house that has been bought and paid for by all of the royalties earned from your videos and music purchased on all of the streaming/download sites. I truly hope you have been blessed by these efforts.
How?!?! I seriously think you're recording these and then matching them up to a different video because I can not tell what's happening. This sounds so beautiful.
Never grows old // never too many sketches. Blown away... yet again!
Another great piece Andy. You are the master of ambient guitar. I just love everything you do. I just wish it was longer.
You never cease to put me in another world after watching one of these sketches
Absolutely amazing stuff - this belongs in a movie like the original Bladerunner !
Oh man!!!! a lot of weeks awaiting for your new release!!! You are the best!!!!
beautiful my friend
greetings from Mexico B.C.TIJUANA
Beautiful, Andy. Thanks.
I feel so relaxed. Thank you. Much love from Singapore. :)
That wall of plugs though. What is going on there?!🎉
finally!! I miss this sketches
Beautiful ambience as ALWAYS! You should be doing movie scores like I said. This piece of yours reminds me of the movie "Sunshine" it's unfortunately not a well known gem, dark horse, sleeper type great movie none the less.
You are the ambient guitar goat, dude
beautiful.
Awesome dude! I had the chance to talked with you in San Francisco when you opened for Emery last august! We had a blast! I'm the annoying dude from Tijuana, Mexico! xD Cheers Andy! Keep rockin'it man!
Symphony of the angels
love it andy. big thanks.
What a special moment you created, thank you.
Nice dream sound. Reminds me of Jonsi & Alex 'Riceboy sleeps' a bit.
That's a huge compliment! Thanks!
I live this. I have every single one of those pedals and yet I can’t get those beautiful swells happening...
Douglas Gough :: Agreed. I'm a minimalist. I'm always trying squeeze out the most sound from the fewest pedals possible.
The way he sets the attack on the POG2 helps
Very beautifull!
This is beautiful man.
beautiful!!
I just came across your channel. Thanks.
Awesome!
This is awesome brother.
remind me brian eno drift from Apollo album amazing where you go with your sound
Amazing
🐐
May you produce more!
Cool!
See you in PA, Andy! Lovely piece btw...
I'm jealous!!!
You know I'm a dedicated fan because I am driving 195 miles to get there!!
Looking forward to meeting you Timothy!
Tranquility
Dude, I really would like to know what is Your motivation for the sound you're creating....whats happening on the inside when you make this awesome sound/music?
это просто потрясающе!
Beautiful Andy! How come you came back to the big sky???
Sou muito fã! 👏👏👏
Muito top lindo de mais parabéns.
Espero um dia ter a oportunidade de fazer um som com você !!!
yessss
hey just bought tickets too your Lacaster show. see ya then.
Awesome, looking forward to meeting you!
Petite 'n sweet.
Hollllld on... are there 3 El Capistans on that board?!
I love your music. I'm just getting into ambient guitar and have musical ideas, but little experience. Any advice you can provide about tools, chording, and phrasing would be helpful.
My current tools are a volume pedal, Hall of Fame 2 reverb, Dunlop Echoplex, Mel9 pedal, Compression, OD, Distortion, and the usual modulation pedals.
hey - what's that keyboard above the m-audio??
I would start an instrumental band with you !
wow - That sounds good :) Do you need to run south "outs" of the Big Sky to get the sound in both left and right, or can a normal guitar cable "out left" into ex a Focus Rite do it?
beautiful, excelente, keep it up for us, btw, i wanted to ask you, wich mic do u use to record on ther amplifier? and wich cables do u use to conect all effects pedals and guitar?
Mind sharing the Warped vinyl settings?
Hey there what kind of guitar/guitars do you use? Any favorite ones? Thanks in advance
What's the piece of hardware that looks like a mixer above the midi keyboard?
So it does! Thanks!
Andy, where was this recorded at? I'm trying to figure out the patch of cables going into the wall in the background over your right shoulder.
That patch panel wasn't used here... went into that laptop next to me
How is he able to get the attack completely out without using a volume pedal? Is there a patch on one of those pedals with an autoswell of sorts? Thanks.
Probably the POG2 :)
some reverb and delay pedals have the ability for a 100% wet signal
Because you have desactived like and dislikes?????
This needs to be longer than 4 min sigh
