Thank you for the video. I was debating between Ryobi and Atlas, since I have tools and batteries from both brands. After watching your video, I'm going with Atlas on this yard tool. Thanks again.
not saying Ryobi is bad at all...but in my tests when it came to yard tools, Atlas has proved to be a tad better so far...at least on the tools i have from both...i'm not sponsored by either...so...just expressed what i witnessed.
I think he forgot the prices, my HF Atlas unit, $117, each battery $110 (I got 2) and the charger also $110, so $450 plus tax, mine too from about 2 years ago. And HF has NEVER had a sale on the Atlas brand where you buy a battery and get a free tool. Having said all that, my only gripe is the head unit. I've had to replace mine, the plastic is soft and wears bad with normal use. I AM happy with the power of the motor and batteries. And I picked up a padded strap that hooks into an eye on the shaft, it carries the weight and the unit is pretty well balanced.
I bought one of these about a year ago. It went dead after 15 minutes. I brought to back to the store and they replaced it. The new one works great, even on heavier weeds than shown in this video. I am also pleased with the battery life!
After setting up the atlas trimming out of the box, what else should I do for the trimming to start running? I set it up add the battery but it’s not turning on.
$80 with battery?
Plus $ for the battery- they have a deal right now buy the battery and get the trimmer for free- love mine
it would be 220 for the battery and charger, and you get an 80-dollar tool. So basically, it's the same price as a Ryobi kit.
Ummm did I see flip flops????? Tsk tsk
shorts, sandals, no gloves, i hope u at least had safety glasses, cuz i just got one of these, and it is a breast, and as soon as i figure out how to load the string on so that the bump feature works, i will be a real happy camper
beast not breast
@@bluesriot2 i will not comment on the safety side lol....but loading is very easy, you will see a small spindle at the head
with arrows, align the arrows with each other and you will see the holes from both sides be in line with each other....then you remove the last string when you're at the end of it (otherwise doesn't let you remove it without aligning anyway), and feed it the new line through those holes...keep in mind you might have to press on that lil cap on the head with the arrows...sounds more complex typing it than if i actually showed it to you. [note, it takes just under 6ft of string, so maybe a wingspan you can measure should be good to go]
