Back in the day, being a kid liking this music felt the same way, if you didn't live in an area with a lot of bands. We didn't have anything like RUclips back then, or even Myspace originally. Lots of time spent browsing forums, trying to scrounge for stuff on P2P filesharing networks, getting your friends to burn CDs for you, etc. Every album on your iPod was a treasure, and every show felt like a legendary experience. Maybe not unlike how people in more remote cities of the Roman Empire felt when a traveler from Rome came to visit their town.
