The Chariot official video for "David De La Hoz" from the new studio album Long Live via Good Fight Music. Facebook: / thechariot Twitter: / thechariotjams
Anyone who has ever worked at a recording studio or been recorded at a studio can tell you how difficult, planned, and coordinated this video had to be. It also must have been incredibly fun for everyone involved.
2 half takes, one full final take, which was the only time with the confetti. I’m the guy with the signs in the glass. I think in all it took 3 or 4 hours for the whole thing.
"In 2020, Scogin stated that The Chariot would never reunite in a preplanned way; specifically mentioning that he would rather spontaneously perform with the band members again than plan the event. He also stated that nostalgia needed to remain in the past, rather than always focusing on his prior projects, being present with whatever project he is involved in."
The flaws are what make it cool. The fact that this is the actual recording they used for the album and they did it all live, in one take is incredible and those little moments, like the guitar fuck up when the headphones slipped off or deciding after the fact that they actually liked the breakdown a little slower are what make it feel so good.
Masterpiece. The chariot is the best thing that ever happened to this scene in its entire existence, and josh is a mad genius. I love this video to death since the moment i laid my eyes on it in 2011. L o n g l i v e.
I just saw '68 open for Mewithoutyou and started checking out Josh's back catalogue. I didn't even realize he was on the last Every Time I Die album. Incredible career.
There is no question about it. This is byfar one of the greatest projects to ever grace heavy music. Holy fucking shit, does this have, drive, meaning, purpose. This album is anything and everything.
I always maintained that the boys in The Chariot were just absolute insane genius savants and if this video isn’t proof positive then I don’t know what is
Just got into this band about a year ago which is weird because I’m 32 and I was listening to similar stuff around the time this was conceived when I was a teen. I guess it just narrowly missed my radar. Oh well better late than never.
He talked about it when I was on tour with 68 a while back and from what he said I highly doubt it would ever happen. Its a closed chapter of his life. He kind of stressed the importance of moving on to new ventures and not trying to recreate old magic.
Man I’m about to be 30. I didn’t get this band when I was younger. Now, this is some of the freshest music I’ve heard in a long time and I can appreciate it.
I saw agatg's ( for people that dont know who agatg is sorry look it up, horse the band/ norma gene and the chariot in an electrifying spectacular display of beauty. It was in columbia north carolina and my mind was blown like the warhead logo. So when norma jean played they only played songs from KISS THE martr BLESS the CHILD. TO EXPERIENCE THAT FOR ME WAS LIFE LIFTING AND NOW NOSTALGIC. TO START NORMA JEAN then the chariot then the 86 is why i LOVE AND MISS the chariot! LONG LIVE!
True music, jump back on this every now and again I remember when I was first starting out on drums and feeling music beside playing one of my very good friends showed me this. He said nothing while showing me this or after I know he felt what I was feeling…. A true art form. Something that is hard to find. Thank you
Jon Terry, welcome back! Since I read about his return I have been eagerly waiting to see them play here next month. That smile he makes at the beginning of the song makes my blood pressure increase. ftw guys
Coming back to this band in the year of 2024
good man
WE OUT HERE
i never leave.
Heard House of Protection and remembered how much I miss the chariot
Randomly pops into my head. And that show in Australia haha. Old mate yeeting the guitar ten million miles into the air. And the fruit fight 😂

Yashira is the new hot band on good fight

You've done none of those things.
2 half takes, one full final take, which was the only time with the confetti. I’m the guy with the signs in the glass. I think in all it took 3 or 4 hours for the whole thing.
This is like the Bohemian Rhapsody of mathcore. Just pure art.
Dude, holy shit. You nailed it.
Yeah except this song is actually good
@@emanuilspasov3678except bohemian Rhapsody sucks and is gai'e
This comment is an insult to The Chariot. Queen fucking sucks.
Still here hoping for a 2021 reunion :(
meeeee fuckin too
Unfortunately I think the guitarist is busy with The Fever 333

@@brandbird Very well said bro thank you.
How tf does this masterpiece only have 76k views? This is the greatest music video ever made in the history of music videos.
Don't know mate. Criminally underrated, even if you don't like the music the video is one hell of an achievement.
if there’s one band im never gonna forget about, it’s the chariot. long live bois.... long live
This is easily the best music video in existence, and even this has its flaws. That just means we try harder as a species and record more art.
The flaws are what make it cool. The fact that this is the actual recording they used for the album and they did it all live, in one take is incredible and those little moments, like the guitar fuck up when the headphones slipped off or deciding after the fact that they actually liked the breakdown a little slower are what make it feel so good.
this deserves the 2021 hd treatment
I worked with David de la hoz, he won a contest to get a song titled after himself. I guess he knew some of these guys personally too
Masterpiece.

L o n g l i v e.
Did this just change my entire life? Holy crap
This shit still goes hard as fuck. The Chariot will be deeply missed.
These dudes are my favorite band in hardcore. Long live.
Norma Jean was bet.......no you're right
@@robhinyngr5913 the chariot was always better imo
@@ayeb0ss yeah I agreed bro
They rock!

I always come back.
Saw them once in 2005. With Hopesfall and Fear Before the March of Flames. And Underoath.
Fear Before is even more underrated IMO.
Of one seeks to go harder. One must go at it, at a slower pace
music video is goated
WE NEED YOU. PLEASE COME BACK
138k views in 12 years? Insanely underrated. Long live.
This, the best music video I've seen in QUITE a long time, is why I love heavy music so....

Same here. This band was shadow banned for sure
Came here cause of ETID's new album, and I don't regret it!
What connection does that album have to this one?
Still, the greatest music video of all time...
Yup
One of the coolest music videos ever.
The balloon squeaking while Josh walks killed me!
This is a symphony.
Coming back to this after 11 years. Wow
I miss the chariot forever and ever and ever. I was 16 when they had their farewell tour and i was not able to go. My favorite band ever
LONG LIVE
truly a masterpeice
thank you Varg Vikernes
Every Time I Die-All This and War made me revisit this.
I wish Josh would knock off the 68 shit and reunite the chariot. Lord knows we need them now than ever
He talked about it when I was on tour with 68 a while back and from what he said I highly doubt it would ever happen. Its a closed chapter of his life. He kind of stressed the importance of moving on to new ventures and not trying to recreate old magic.
The amount of times I saw these guys in passing opening for bands I was obsessed with as a kid, just to refind them as an adult is wild
Probably one of the GREATEST fts of all time
Greatest band to ever band.
Still literally insane to watch. The pressure not to mess up must have been unreal. But yeah... completely epic. ♡
Man I’m about to be 30. I didn’t get this band when I was younger. Now, this is some of the freshest music I’ve heard in a long time and I can appreciate it.
