David, this was a great review. I noted that you received Number 90. I received this week Number 91 of the Momento Zero Mango from Emy at Pen Venture. I agree with you that a gun metal colored nib would have been a greater design choice over the black nib. The pen performs very well. Did you notice in your pen a bit of rattling coming from the converter in the blind cap? Thanks for all your great reviews.
Finally got around to ordering this, from a USA vendor. I picked the black trim with a Broad nib and ordered a black Jowo #6 nib unit in Fine to go along with it. The pen is currently $150 shipped and the extra nib unit was $30. So $180 total…the pen with the official converter plus two nib units. Amazing value.
Orange being my least favorite color this isn't for me. But I did just get the Momento Zero in Alga (Seaweed) green with gold trim. The standard M.Z. is one of my favorites and I have five of them, along with one Grande and a Furore. All have great writing steel nibs and I've never felt the need for a gold nib. Looking forward to the future reviews.
Great review, as always. I have one en route, with the silver trim. It’s probably false logic to apply previous experience to every ruthenium plated nib out there, but every one I’ve had in the past has been dry and scratchy, almost as if the tipping material itself was plated.
I have but a single Leonardo (Momento Zero Grande) only because they came along late in my pen hobby but oh, what a great writer! I'm seriously tempted to buy more of 'em every time I see another and strongly suspect I'll succumb -- maybe for this one!
Another Leonardo pen which makes me think "well, with such a beautiful material I could have it...". They mastered the choice of stunning materials in a reasonable price range. Just to have the nib in gunmetal finish, matching the rest of pen... But in this case I'd rather go safe and take chrome finish. Plus, fantastic ink. Need to include it when I will be ordering some pen... Great idea with a "sneak peek" into next reviews.
Dave Very exciting new color and trim options and I appreciate knowing that it’s out there. Otherwise it appears to be the same Leonardo Momento Zero pen in design, shape, size and writing experience. So being a new color/trim I don’t think it worthy of a full review as a new pen.
I thought I had enough Leonardos; obviously not! This is beautiful.
I am also in love with the Primary Manipulation you have, so much Leonardo pen envy.
The new model looks interesting, looking forward to your review

Dave, thanks for sharing. I was vacillating on getting the mango, you've convinced me.
Thanks for yet another interesting review.
Thanks for reviewing this very beautiful pen, and ink, David. I look forward to your review of the Magico models.

This is so beautiful! Someday I hope to add a Leonardo to my modest stable, and this one is pushing the issue!!
On my wish list! Thanks... I really enjoy your reviews

As a dutch person I think I'm obligated to buy this very orange pen
* oranje
That flaked Magico resin has the feeling of Tibaldi Impero celluloid to it, hopefully it is equally "radiant" in the flesh.
Great review. I couldn’t resist. 😍

This is very nice colour from Leonardo: don’t have any of their pens but am seriously tempted by this!, like the ink too!:)

Looove orange…..just wish I could afford it. Another one to add to my wish list. 😀
I am a big fan of Leonardo pens! My MZ is the "Alga", love it.
Me: I have enough pens. [Sees new Leonardo pen video] Me: I must have that pen, nowww!
I have never owned a Leonardo, but that black magico, I believe has my name on it.
It’s a nice color. Thanks for sharing.

Really love this material! I wish this came in the grande version!
I was eyeing on this pen upon its release, but it seems like the Magico is more for me. Can't wait for you review of the Magico.
It will be in a couple weeks...but it will be reviewed.
I think i found my first Leonardo.
The Magico may be the Leonardo for me.
Which is better choice , sailor 1911 or sailor professional gear
They are both solid choices, but the Pro Gear is a bit smaller than the 1911S.

FYI : it’s actually ITALIANA - not “Italia”.
